ok dobo, can you help me sort a complete bike if you have the knowledge and knowhow?

ive got a brand new pair of specialized axis 2.0 wheels doing nothing in the shed. i upgraded my wheels on my tarmac when i got it and class them as spares.

I’m not even sure if a cx bike is the right choice for commuting to work.
Its the stability I’m after with thicker tyres. Phoned specialized today and they said the new robaix Disc can have 32’s on so I mite shell out the extra and get one.

Great list. I do like the cannondale superx but no mudguard eyelets. I’m going to see the cycle show today and have a look at rose. Try and see if they can get me one before January.
I’m also hoping the CAADX for £1399 is as nice as people are telling me.

Lemonysam, the bike shed is ok, I helicopter tape my bikes so no paint gets chipped or scratched. I have no choice but to lean the seat up against a steel post.

My commute is tarmac, rough at times with the option of cutting through a field. 9 miles each way.

    Rorschach What’s wrong with BB30?

It has got eyelets so how can it be hard to fit mud guards?

Thanks Gary lager, just what I wanted to here. I’m 6ft 3 and I hope the biggest frame is ok for me.

    Ok,

I’ve got wheels & seat & post. If I was to get this I’ve found would it be ok to build up for my commute?

Just keep your gob shut. Police know it was a genuine theft so just enjoy both bikes and be happy.

Don’t bother telling anyone fxxk all! You paid what was asking to insure it. It got nicked and you were paid out. You went through all the correct channels and miraculously you got it back. Enjoy the new bike mate. The police won’t bother with reporting anything to anyone, there to busy for shitty little bicycle crime.

    hello mrnice,
thanks for getting with your results. i sat on this yesterday

    http://www.bicicielo.com/bikes/road/whyte-2015-cornwall-rd-7-road-disc.html

and i must say it looks beautiful and because im tall with long arms the reach is shorter than my tarmac and more relaxed. a bit like a Robaix. also saw the suffolk which was also a nice bike.

planetx has also got a nice winter bike for sale. the spec is awesome for the money. just the colour you have to get used too.

Is it ok to have a carbon bike for winter? I like the New 2015 Robaix £2000 model. It comes with 25 tyres but can it accept 28’s?

    jacob46

Mr nice, I’m glad you mentioned that. I ride a tarmac 61cm (extra large). I was wondering about whyte sizing because they only go to 58cm. So if your trying a size smaller the 58cm should be ok for me. I’m 6ft 3 and my tarmac has 59.5 top tube so I hope the whyte’s 58 will be the same.

I do like the look of what whyte has to offer for winter use.
