    Crank bearings!
Mechanic called it a cassette when putting new one in. Thought it was the new up to date name…

Surely it’s the same as riding in wet conditions! Oh well watering can from now on then.

Wash my bike like it was a car. Thought bikes had drain holes for a reason but not enough of them it seems.

    Cassette!

Love the Fox set up on anthem and I think spec £200+ too much. But I know specialized are excellent bikes.

I have a carve pro and was surprised that I needed a new bottom bracket cassette after only 400 miles. The fitter told me not use a hose when washing it! Watering can only.

Still think they are good despite the sram ccrank.

Thought Ide let you all know that I’ve just tested Anthem X 1 29Er and I love it. Very nippy and well made. Trance needs to be off road all the time so Anthem it is 😆

Best prices please if anyone knows of a good deal. £1999 the best I can find.

well I would like to reply to “rickon” who thinks my rear end will be stuck up in the air more and my front end lent over more on a trance than an anthem? is this true ?
I will find out Saturday at rutland cycle but im curious because I prefer to be more upright!!

if you can afford to come off your bike then go and buy a new pair of berghaus that’s brill, but I use EX army issue camo goretex trousers which are the toughest you can buy.

Rutland have Large & XL in the anthem so Saturday I will be testing 😆

Pipiom Ide love to test one but it’s a nightmare. Giant are really plugging 27.5 and I need to know if I’m a large or XL. Think at 6ft 4 Ide be better with XL.

ive just sent details off to http://www.test-ride.co.uk/ and they have only 27.5 for test riding?? plugging!!

ide like to try both 29 and 27.5 anthem & trance.

Bet I end up sticking with specialized and getting a stumpjumper. local branch is 3 miles from home and they have all models to test ride. you cannot fault specialized for customer service.

Don’t want a 26 tinybits! At 6ft 4inches they look like a Raleigh Striker from the 80’s on me.

Bit like these stupid fancy independent designer clothes shops. They always offer vouchers or replacement. If its faulty refund should always be offered. Tossers. I would threaten them with everything possible.

    hi rickon,

I had a appointment with my gp yesterday. ive asked for blood tests to be done because I think I may have what ever it is in more than one place. my elbows hert from time to time especially when ive been carrying something. got to give the blood Thursday. I asked about exercise and he said 10mile 3 times a week is fine for now until ive had the mri scan to confirm what is wrong with my hip.
Told my other half today that ive had the pain too long now for it not to be arthuritus. ive had symptoms for the last 2 years in the same area and now im limping. got to be!
    my moms fault shes riddled.

Consultant told 100miles no! 5-10 yes. Catch 22 situation if I want to get fitter but not make things worse.

It has 1 5mm spacer. Mite give that a go tomorrow.

Just got back from a 10 mile trail ride and think I need to bring the seat forward a bit. The last 2 mile is the tarmac journey home all up hill and I was on the front end of my seat.
spoke to someone from crc today and they have recommended me 70mm race face for £20.
