6’2″ with a large Stumperjumper 26er. The stumpy frames are pretty long and the fit is perfect for me.

think im into the XL bracket with this bike but I know what you mean by long. that’s why I ended up with a carve HT. fits me lovely.

Pretty varied results so far. A couple of treks and no stumpjumpers FSR’S. Got a demo day next week and week after and will be trying XL in cube Stereo & stumpy FSr.

29 is so very last season.. I understand there’s a new wheel size that we won’t need but will be required for entry to all trail centres in 2015.

if that’s the case have you look at specialized line up for this year?

What’s your profession, what car do you drive and do you have an axe, chainsaw and woodburning stove..?

what do you mean by that?

The spesh fsr stumpjumper seems to be getting good reviews in mbr as an alternative option.

Try before you buy is the only way you’ll ever know to be honest. Personal preference counts for a lot.

they have a demo day in march. for the money you cant beat it IMO. will be doing my best to test it out.

    thanks guys,

I think 2500 is my limit. it was 2000 but ive upped it a little. test rode anthem X 29 last week and loved it but im keeping my HT carve pro and a lot of people have told to go for something more aggressive to what basically I already have. so its Orange Five, Gyro Or Stumpjumper(which is a fantastic looking bike). unless anyone can recommend me a bike?
Leisure Lakes have a demo day at Cannock chase on 8th of march. phoned them today and they have all makes and models will be there.

Be careful. You’re looking at 2 different types of bike there. The Giant, with short travel and tight head angle, is more XC oriented, whereas the Spesh is an enduro bike. Personally I’d go for the Spesh, unles you’re planning on entering any XC races.

Or alternatively, ask more questions, do more research and wait a while and make a more informed decision about the type of bike you want/need.

Ive got a HT Carve pro but for trails I think it will struggle and would like something more comfortable
