Everyone except disgruntled cardholders seem to be waiting for someone else to do something.
Most of the fraud on my card was online orders we must have an address?
I know the police have allot to do, they must have the overtime they claim, but come on!
jackoinmossFree MemberChain reaction have just called me and assured me there web service is secure.
This may be true but they would not rule out an employee taking card details. So basically sorry but tough!
Won’t be shopping with them again unless they send another voucher and then I will use pay pal.
jackoinmossFree MemberIS there not legislation in place about how card details are held?
Will be using paypal from now on though.
jackoinmossFree MemberI used CRC last week and on Friday the bank called me to see if I why I was buying clothes from simply b in £50 transactions until my account was empty?
They conceded it was fraud as I am not a larger lady and the delivery address did not match.
Only other people who have my card details are Jungle who kept them so they could refund money after a return.
Seems odd so many people were hit within a few days?
jackoinmossFree MemberMono skis easily the worst of both worlds can we hate them or will the French object?
jackoinmossFree MemberHope pro 2
Never had any trouble with them and they are bomb proof.
Also you are buying British and if it does break etc you can get them to sort it out.
I think they are worth the extra cash.
jackoinmossFree MemberYou do see your frame flex when it is on a trainer.
Wonder how much more it flexes than when ridden on the road?
I noticed this more with old steel frame than current frame but you can see the bottom bracket deflecting sideways.
jackoinmossFree MemberWould not want to do a full on Abdoujaparov and obviously the bike is held Vertical so not much chance of doing so but I have always got out of the seat a bit and had no trouble.
jackoinmossFree Member£80 to save 150g that is a bargain as I see it.
More about how nice they will look until they are used if I am honest with myself though.jackoinmossFree MemberYou can put real guns in hold luggage if you are off shooting at some far flung location.
I am sure there must be a better way. Maybe like the pushchair bringers who just leave them at the front of the cabin.
I think you have to bring a child to do this though? All this though is easy in comparison to flying with your bike. Again not delicate but they still managed to bend the brake disks and put the wheel axle through the wheel bags.
I just think flying seems so unfair. I try to conform to the rules in a reasonable way only to be crammed into a corner by someone or a combination of people who have stretched the rules to the max.
jackoinmossFree MemberMrNutt
Seems like you have the ideal solution.
You can carry it to the plane keeping bag throwers out of the loop no one on board has the problem of trying to fit there bags around it.
Surely this is the best way.My snowboard while laminated is not unbreakable. However I have no problem checking it in. I do have a problem paying extra though when providing you use a soft case you can take a small folk group with there instruments in the cabin for free leaving me with my small hand luggage forced into my leg room as the overhead lockers seem full of massive hand bags an guitars.
jackoinmossFree MemberThere were not one but two men with guitars on my last flight.
Neither of them had a beard or sandals though.
The air line site just says your personal item can be a musical instrument but no other guidance i can see yet.
Drum Kit would be good.
jackoinmossFree MemberDid mine snowboarding while still young enough to heal.
It was 10 weeks before I was anything like normal. I wasn’t given the option of a plate even though it was in two distinct bits and I now look a bit lop sided.
Alot seems to depend on the kind of sling offered lots of people seem to have had good experiences with figure of 8 slings as they hold your shoulder back? Cant say as I had a bog standard one.
jackoinmossFree MemberGiven the effort to be streamlined I think he should lose the beard?
Or
He could make a beard cowl from Carbon fiber and bryl cream.Good effort though it shows what you can nock up in your shed.
jackoinmossFree MemberYou have to love the Ski types who can’t help but have a dig at the snowboarders and vice versa.
Where is the love?
I have tried both but ended up snowboarding. It does feel more natural for some of us. Just the same as you will have one foot you put forward when you stand up on your bike (I know there are people who don’t mind)
When you were a kid and slid on the ice in the play ground was it sideways or forward?
The thing about finding something that feels natural is it is hard to understand how other might find the complete opposite true?
Don’t worry about what anyone thinks and just have a go at what you take a shine to more. If you don’t like it swap. You may hate both?
Both are a good way to have fun in the snow.
jackoinmossFree Member“I love how fired up people get about the potential drenching or kicking of cat when there are millions of other animals in kept in battery farms and killed in slaughter houses every day. I have cats and dogs but if another one did something I didn’t approve of I’d give it what for. I rather expect that much of the issues of this threat are to do with the ownership of the animal rather than the actual welfare of it. What’s the difference between a pest cat or pest rat other than the cat belongs to someone?”
Maybe I would not find this post a little irksome if the wannabe cat killers were thinking of eating them afterwards?
jackoinmossFree MemberMy W reg A4 left me a year or so ago for a 12 month old car.
2 drive shafts Breaks. ABS sensors all in a 6 month period left me thinking for the money I am throwing at this I could make payments on a used approved one.
Cam belt was coming up for second change as well and was promising a big bill.
Old cars are fine if you go mega cheap and treat them as disposable as andrewh says. I had a polo in disco gold colour that cost me £200 that ran for 12 months passed an MOT and was sold for £100 to run on for another year without any problems. Cant even service a car for £100 a year.
Depends if vanity is an issue really.
jackoinmossFree MemberWeetabix or oats add to any of the above for a breakfasty feel.
jackoinmossFree MemberThanks antigee
Much as I thought, Lived in Hillsborough and didn't remember anything about Wharncliffe. Was sure I would remember if it had a bad reputation. It may end up being a good spot to comute from for me, so wanted to check it hadn't turned into pitsmoor.
jackoinmossFree MemberChrome citizen..
Love mine really stable even when stuffed full.
Also keeps laptop dry on the way to work even on motorbike in the rain.
Had it a few years now and it still looks like new.
They are expensive but i think they are worth the money.jackoinmossFree MemberI thought star tatoo on the inside of thw rist signalled you were a lady who lieks ladies.
Have I imagined this
I did too, I think the origin of this is that sailors had star tatoos to thank the stars guiding them. Then all sailor stuff became a bit village people?
There are a few articles online that agree.
Maybe boys who like boys as well, but I guess only if thats how you mean it. How many people with swallow tattoos have done time?
jackoinmossFree MemberFrom this it seems that the sea would be dangerous beyond belief for any kind of swimming? Waves, rips etc.
Think most of the signs are just because the water authorities don't want to be responsible for 2 many drownings.
Yes I know swimming in the sea can be dangerous but so is riding to work, or crossing the street, we just need to be aware of the real risks not the made up ones.
jackoinmossFree MemberFrom memory does brake fluid not remove paint quite well?
Once stripped the varnish from a door by brushing over it in my overalls having been bathing in brake fluid under a car!
Long time ago but Dad was not pleased.
jackoinmossFree MemberJust book a bus. There are links on the Whislter web site. Most busses in BC are bike friendly and dont think you would have any trouble if bikes were in bags. Plus if you get a good driver he will give a running comentry of the trip…and to your right.
jackoinmossFree MemberWrong roundabout guys.
It is the first one you reach heading to brighouse from M62 I was got at.
Came off M62 up dual carridge way buttie van on my right.
jackoinmossFree MemberAfter an afternoon of being mad I have resigned mysely to my insurance doubling in cost and having to pay excess.
I am not going to fain injury as that would add to the problem.
I am however continuing to say he did it on purpose and hope for 50:50 outcome that way he may think twice before doing it to somone else who makes a poor judgement at a roundabout.
Will be driving home like a nana now.
Oh well no new frame for me this crimbo.
jackoinmossFree Membermastiles_fanylion
In my shoes you would feel defensive.
£400 insurance excess running up to xmas
Ask yourself this: If you found yourself in a position to crash inot somone with nothing to gain except a dodgy insurance claim and the risk of causing harm to another human being but could claim it not your fault on a technicality. What would you do.
I know for sure I may shout but would not risk hurting anyone.
There are however some people out there who would hurt you for personal gain and smile about it.
Wonderfull world out there!
jackoinmossFree MemberI do not have whiplash and I do not want to claim for it.
The roundabout in question is in Brighouse the first one you come to from the M62
Have a look on google maps I was turning back up the a643 having come out of the A644 and was just clear of the box on the road when he hit me with the front left of his car. He came from the A643 and was going up the A644 toward town. He turned into me. He could have turned behind me butwith the F you attitude of many people today chose to crash into me to no doubt teach me some kind of lesson.
It took comitment on his part to actualy hit me.
When I set of from the give way he was sat still at his give way.
So you can all feel free to aportion blame.
Yes if I had waited for a bigger gap I would have been ok on the flip side he made the choice to hit me.
jackoinmossFree Member"They will assume that is simply your point of view. No doubt the other guy thinks you are in the wrong too. The police aren't there to mediate, they are there to police. Just speak to your insurance company.
I would say though that you must have pushed in a bit otherwise he would have been chasing you down the road to crash into you. Perhaps you are feeling a little bit annoyed with yourself for doing this as now you have a whole world of shit to sort out and will probably lose your no claims bonus… "
Not at all. I was crossing a box section of a roundabout. His exit was blocked with stationary traffic. He accelerated to hit me. Not my opinion a fact. When I leveled this acusation he smiled and said "But it was my right of way"
The gap was plenty big enough not to cause any other road user to change speed or direction. I belive the highway code says somthing about this.
Yes I am anoyed that after 18 years of driving some halfwit with some kind of I know the system you cant touch me attitude has wiped out my no claims. I am also anoyed that the car that I worked to buy now has a scraped up back bumper.
The dammage to his car was all front bumper passenger side showing he turned into me rather than away.
But thanks for your input.
jackoinmossFree MemberIs accelerating into another road user and taking no avoiding action a serious enough offence.
Police dont seem to think so…
jackoinmossFree MemberNB: My feelings were hurt!
Maybe I should have mentioned this?
jackoinmossFree MemberPolice realy are not interested, I found this a bit worrying as I called saying a man had driven into me deliberately.
They were only bothered if anyone was hurt.
Sorry if there are any decent coppers on here but hey were such a waste of space this morning.
jackoinmossFree MemberCorrect me if I am wrong(Am sure you all will) but it it not illegal to use any wheeler vehicle on a foot path?
This was I belive the bylaw that was used to ban skateboards in many citys.
I say we all get on the Daily mail site and campaign to ban push chairs under the same by law.
If anyone can think of a more stupid yet plausible campaign waste there time with that instead.
Yes there are some idiots on bikes out there and in cars and on foot..
Lets ban walking, maybe if we could tax it?
jackoinmossFree MemberI use a chrome messenger bag would probably look ok in Black for the smarter office.
Cammo however?
For:Totaly waterproof and quite strong and comfy.
Against:Cost a fortune!jackoinmossFree MemberBadlyWired Dog
Any others in the area that are a better bet?
Or Is a thursday Arival early enough to get a spot?jackoinmossFree MemberMake sure paypal are aware you are willing to give a full refund, and ensure if he does send it back he provides proof of posting and postal insurance to stop the "Well I sent it and cant help it if you didnt get it" argument.
Paypal like to side with the buyer for some reason so do your research and keep lots of evidence.
Vist site called screw paypal and email senior management direct.
Hope you get it sorted I hate Paypal.
jackoinmossFree MemberDoes £650 sound like alot to anyone else for detailed building drawings?
jackoinmossFree MemberOne of our conditions is the drive can be no more than 1 in 15.
Not that unusual?
I live on a hill tht is easily 1 in 4 must be I have to change onto granny ring to ride up it!
Not that planning types would get hung up on any detail that takes there fancy.
