Thanks Rob bu that is the wrong answer.. Didn’t even do legs for this years TT’s hairy shorts are the minimum requirement.

I spoke to schwalbe and they recommended adding sealant and letting it pool in the punctured area with tyre at low pressure overnight.

This morning it held 110 psi we will see how it goes on a ride now?

Also baby wipes worked great getting sealant off frame etc.

The plan is to tip in some new sealant it has been in there 3 months (ish)
Will shake it and put a bit extra in.

If this does not work the patches are coming out I think.

next question what is best for cleaning it off the frame, and bars, and forks and brakes etc.

It looks small, <1mm I thought it would seal having watched all the videos.

To start with I though it was raining but then my brain worked out this was unlikely given the clear blue sky.

It seems to hold up to 40psi but when I put 100 back in at fails again.

My only worry with the plugs is if I push it through at 90 degree to trye and the hole is say 45 degree to the tyre will i just be stabbing holes in an expensive tyre?

Really like the tyres (pro one)

    Thanks for that…

Anyone got any other ideas other than buying new tyres because I will just get another tubeless one.

You can get new ones for less than decent reclaimed ones.
That way you can get untreated ones if you are worried. If you use any modern outdoor timber it will be tanalised and that isn’t as unpleasant as creo but still wouldn’t eat dinner off it. On the bright side train toilets wont have been emptied on it..

Are you a British cycling member there legal advise has been useful for at least a couple of people I know who have been knocked off. I certainly would not be spending my own money if someone had crashed into the back of my car so don’t see a bike as any different?

Would the driver not be replacing it for you?

New 6800 ultegra is very nice. Have it on Planet x pro carbon.

I think the standout for me is how well the brakes work (for a road bike) I think the design of the caliper is different.

Apart from that I don’t really notice the group so cant be doing anything wrong.

Only fault was bottom bracket, they have changed to non standard tool size and it only lasted 1000 miles before it started grumbling. Hope stainless fitted now and all running silent.

    Hope that helps.

I run 8spd sti with 7 speed cassette on a road bike.

Not perfect but it works. Sheldon said it would be ok..

Was a new chain and was on the granny.

Apart from chain tension is there any other reason for not fitting a big casstte? Mech seems to reach with no issue.

Wigan is a bit of a treck from Huddersfield.

There is a place in Slaithwite (I can walk there) but they want £60.

Not being tight just realistic when Planet X will sell me a SAB frame for £99.

    Creaky seat? or Seatpost clamp?

I spent hours looking for suspension and drivetrain problems that turned out to be the seat…

Put very light thin tubes in.

These will let you stop for regular puncture breaks inbetween going fast.

    15 hr service interval?

I am shocked (no pun intended)

That is every other ride. I have some 2007 36 talas that are going strong and have only been serviced a couple of times.

2009 Totem never been serviced and feel as good as new.

With a quote like that I would just find some brand new second hand ones on this or a similar pink forum.

They are superb if a little OTT for most riding.
Had no problems at all, and there seems to be endless adjustment.

Can’t cope with anything closer than clipper with gaurd off. I never seem to get it short enough to stop it acting like hat velcro and collecting jumper fluff.

    Mint,

You have got me all wrong.. Not saying there is no riding just not much else, hence can’t be considered a dump.

    Wouldn’t be moving there otherwise.

Can’t disagree that Cleckheaton is a dump.

Colne valley is quite nice though IMHO. A little post industrial but mostly not much there until you fall out of the end of it into Saddleworth.

    Thanks.

Will probably be trying to do this 2 or three days a week and use car to deliver/Collect shirts etc on other two days.

Hope to be moving soon. Then I just need to find all the good cheeky trails around Linthwaite.

My bike is almost as broken as me.

So much mud it was like riding with super tacky tyres in marmite.

Did he not throw a pie and get a smack in the mouth for his trouble?

Is a smack in the mouth reasonable force?

    World gone mad bla bla.

Shouldn’t care who the target is but it matters as if it were you or i that got pied I doubt they would even bring charges.

Don’t see what the fuss is about?
All mine fell out years ago just clipper the remainder as not to look obviously bald.
Lost all the guards a few years ago so no choice on length anyhow.

As for head feeling oily and clammy you just need to stop thinking its your head and just except your face has got much bigger?

    like mirror idea.

Seen a salomon free ski vid shot from head but he has mirror in his hand looking back at himself if that make sense?

Have a drift not gopro. Have tried it on side of helmet. Quite normal..
Strapped to back knee on snowboard pointing forward. Worked quite well low to the floor getting a good idea of speed.

Seen loads of go pro’s on ski poles pointing towards and away.
With that in mind I thought I might stap a tent pole (old alloy one) under my stem 12 or 18″ long pointing back up at me. Also thought of putting one on back of rucksack so I can point it down at me.
Also trying to use bottle cage mounts to face it backwards to see the travel working on the rear wheel and whoever is behind you.

Looking to try and see what sort of self shot stuff I can do as I like the idea of filming footage of myself (not in a strange way) just as something a bit different.

My front makes pinging noises like a spokey kind of sound.

Checked all the spokes and am starting to think they are just amplifying the sound from the bearings that feel about ready for a change.

I would check bearings as just in case.
