If it’s gen 1, pull all that over engineered c**p out and convert it into an eccentric BB and run it single speed!!

Not mine, always liked the idea of it though

When I had my Marin Wolf Ridge with an RP3 on it, if I was doing a more pedally ride I would add a little more PSI in the shock to firm it up and set the PP to 3(MAX), then when I got to the exciting stuff, flicked the PP lever to off and gave it a good hammering. Felt that was a good balance.

Any rotating weight loss is great, as not only do you loose weight from the bike but forces to get these parts moving is also reduced.

Wheels are one of the biggest things that can change the feel of the bike so swapping tyres and making the wheel setup lighter would be best. Max Pro’s are great tyres – ideal for all round use just be careful as the grip isn’t quite like the 42s!!

In terms of shock, does the bike bob or feel like the suspension is taking any of the pedalling forces away from moving the bike forward?

I like that, some decent riding, Luke looks like he can handle a bike and is enjoying hammering the Alpine.

Some nice ‘artie’ out of focus shots that seem all the rage at the moment.

Music OK, typical MTB video stuff, think Orange would be please for the marketing.

Beats some of the forest road videos that show up all to often.

Went out with a friend last night who bought one on my recommendation so I was very interested in it’s performance as I don’t have one – lol!

Much brighter than my Joystick (200 Lumens against 900). I have 2 joysticks and have one on bike and one on the helmet, he only had the light on the bike so his light was fixed whereas mine total output is split but his was much brighter. Very good performance even in ‘dim / low’ mode as well, almost if slightly brighter than my joystick in dim mode.
Big green then blue button on the back was very noticable to me riding along side but friend didn’t feel he noticed it whilst riding and didn’t distract him at all.

Looked very well made, battery pack smaller than what I expected and the light unit looked really nice and well made.

For the money I would deff buy one!!

I should be doing my budget / invoices and providing a member of staff my half term spend – however chasing the bank and seeking advice on here is taking over.

This morning I did remove 4 old printers and replaced it with a singular solid ink printer that impressed 3 ladies to the fact they can now print in colour and quickly.

I am also about to re-install one of the old printers removed this morning into another office and make another lady happy.

Oh one other thing, he had logged on his internal accounts that the payment was done on the 24th October (which seems about right).

Any idea on how long a bounce back would take?

Grrr this is the icing on the cake for the bad luck I am having this week – who says things come in three – I on about 12 at the moment!!

Spoke to my bank and spoke to a person not of this country who provided less information than what a quick google search would provide.

Phoned the bank again, still didn’t get ‘my’ branch but spoke to another UK branch and she took the details and said it was unlikely that the account exsists and the money should have bounced back.

However all details need to come from sender not reciever for them to do anything which is fair enough.

I did mention that the bank I bank with, the bank the money came from and potentially went to incorrectly are all the same and does that help in these sort of things and she said yes – fingers crossed!

Typically the sender is away on Holiday at the moment, spoke to his second in command who told me his Dad has all the bank stuff so would get in contact with him and see if he could see if the money has bounced back!
It’s not money I can loose but at least it isn’t 20k like one lady reported on Martin’s money tips!

Merlin, Superstar and Wiggle for urgent parts, CRC for stuff I might need in a week or two.

Ordered some new forks from Merlin on Tuesday, had them on Wednesday before 9!

Last CRC order took over a week

Hannah Barnes looks very pretty from the pictures I have seen, where are all these nice MTB females coming from, non were hot back in my day!
Noticed Helen Clayton on the on-one site this morning, she seems quite cheeky as well:

The last time I got my full sus done I paid 45 but that included frame, rims and pedals. All shot blasted and powdered.

Be careful as some places use an oven to help loosen the paint before shot blasting and that can have a bad effect on alu frames (I learnt the hard way on that one!)

Maybe you could ask nicely and get his GT cheap when he has built his new bike up. That way you can show him your better skillz on his old bike and make him look a fool for spending all that money on a really nice bike with nice components and a proper freeride bike for the leeds freeride mafia to be in awe of!

Having READ your original post and noted the fact you are tied into a fixed rate then I feel your options are:
A, Carry on paying, knowing that money going in is paying it off so when you come to sell in 2 years you will get your share and the mortgage will also be 2 years less and IF the house prices have increased you may even have some gain to those 2 years of payments – be careful though as she could try and claim a higher share against costs of maintaning the house etc.
B, Get the house valued, offer her a settlement figure based on the value of the house minus a little bit for fees of selling the house and making the offer a bit sweeter.
C, Decide that the clauses for ending the fixed rate are worth spending to get this ended and allow you to move on and sell the house

If it was me I would do B first, then really consider the pro’s and Con’s of A and C. This is also dependent on your own circumstances, are you able to make those payments, is this stopping you from buying a house, moving on in your life etc.

You’ll be fine – I ride my local DH track on my XC bike which has north shore, jumps (to flat), a nice fallen tree with a ramp that goes up and off the tree and a great step down at the end.

Am I missing the point in which this is an issue?

Unless you are doing bar spins, surely just being careful is OK and maybe a thick bit of helicopter tape on the point it touches just in case you come off and it trys to spin around.

Peaty sold Royal to the 661 guys a while back but still has input, all helps!!

Yeah his house is massive and lush!

I think you'd be surprised how much the bigger names are on. I remember reading a thing on Peaty when he went to GT, Palmer told him what he should be on and helped him get a good deal. That was years ago so he must be on a tidy sum now. His house certainly doesn't show a 20k wage.

As daft as it may sound, un-screw the top cap on that side, lift the cartridge / internals bit out so far, then push back in, screw up and see if that helps!

Did it on my Recon's when the lockout stopped working and it was fine after doing it, it's something to do with either oil or air being trapped (mine weren't air so not the air as in the spring just an air lock).

I have Pro II's on both my SS's. I do have superstar wide base cogs and that is fine. However on one of them I ran a normal width SS cog for a few months and it was fine and made no marks at all.

I used to have a cassette that unknown to me one of the screws had sheared that holds it together and that made more of a mess than my SS cog ever did!!

TBH does she REALLY want it to work, was the affair a means to an end, an escape route from this relationship?

You mention she hasn't asked for you back, she's told you she would have left you for him, she cried for weeks cause he dumped her.

Be very careful that she isn't playing you. What would have happened if he didn't dumper her, where would you be now if she HAD left you?

From the little information we have been given, taking into fact you have previously had issues, she has children from another relationship that hasn't worked, she has told you she would have dropped you for this guy who was 'the one', it really is time to call it a day if it was me.

I could never forgive nor forget.

Might be able to do a Puddletown ride with you, rode PT last week and yeah some tree felling has happened but some of the tracks are still there and enough to make a loop I recon. Got a SS too so could be well matched!

Given the two you have suggested I think I would go with the Lapierre, get good reviews and a good looking bike!

A friend had the 160mm version and loved it, I recon the 140mm would be an awesome bike.

I paid £70 for a set of M960's about a month ago, did the Jones conversion myself.

One thing to note is you still need specific chainrings for the middle ring as they are 102 BCD not 104.

However I have bodged a 104 on there but haven't yet riden it so there may be tears by the end of the weekend!

If you order a lot of stuff, more then 3 or 4 items they send it parcel force 48 hr as standard. Now that's not going to be there the next day.

Ordered 5 items, one item being a set of handlebars so fairly big/long, 55 quid was the total order, sent first class postage.

Think the 48hour is on large items or higher priced stuff

    FFS, get a life

I think I can be a little annoyed if my order hasn't arrived after ordering it 5 days ago and I can't ride because of it. I work all week and enjoy biking at the weekend and get annoyed when things stop me from doing that especially when I have ordered other parts from other companies later than this order and they have arrived.

I think people who post meaningless responses to people postings need to get a life.

I agree with lack of knowledge on the item rather than stolen.

I bought a bike (ladies bike I must admit) on ebay that was poorly listed and got it for a steel at £10. Turned up and the lady selling it was well fit!!
