Weeeeellll I was thinking full build but I could maybe splash a little more and go frame – I love the look of that banshee in mint. It seems quite similar to the kona process 111 which I was half considering but has pretty poor components for the price.

OK I’m calling bullshit on these commuters – they are clean. Mine to caked in dirt apart from the drive train which I clean maybe once a week.

One time I did my 8.5 mile commute (pretty flat, urban to rural) at an average of 20mph and my god I was over the moon. If someone is in front of me I go much faster than usual (yes, I realise that deep down this makes me an asshole :D)

Cripes, armchair analysis is a bigger internet hobby than I thought!
Over the last couple of weeks I’ve had idiots overtake me while I was signalling right and moving across the road and you’re damn right I shouted abuse at them.

Yeah, the nuclear authority bods are pretty good at tracing and detecting this sort of thing – you can read about all sorts of accidental contamination incidents on wikipedia and the extent to which the source of and path followed by contamination can be traced is very impressive.

Sounds like a lot of work/expertise without knowing why. Maybe you should hire a metallurgist for your boutique frame business rather than asking a forum?

Anyone know when the Canyon Dude is going to be available? £1800ish delivered for a carbon frame and fork, nice wheels and decent spec.

That’s an attractive bike. I especially like the way it says ‘rude’ on the fork.

I know a boring office guy who commutes to work on an old lugged carbon marin with a generous helping of fluro paint. That bike is wasted on him.

When I first started running I gradually increased distance. I was fortunate that the route I usually took had a lot of short sharp hills which I’d always blast up. I think that and just plain old consistency despite weather and anything else ended up bumping up my speed to a respectable level.

My cat would bring mice into the house, live, and play with them; she didn’t get the ‘kill’ part. Either I had to euthanise them if they’d been played with too roughly, or chuck them out. Thankfully they’re pretty easy to catch if they’re away from small holes.

Moral of the story: don’t rely on the cat.
