    Hoops’ law of diminishing sanity:

The diameter of the ear ring hoop is inversely proportional to sanity.

Low sulphur diesel ? LPG ?
My point is; behaviours can be changed. But it takes a sound policy, education and some carrots/sticks.

Now explain to me exactly how you’re going to persuade the great mass of public not even as bothered as me?

What kind of car do you drive, and how much more efficient and less polluting is it compared to the average car on the road 30 years ago ? Or indeed on the road in America today ?

Your statement regarded contemplating suicide. I’ve met several terminally ill folk who during their illness contemplated suicide. I can assure you they were very very rational in their approach to this.

If you were in the same situation would you commit suicide ?
That’s a rhetorical question by the way, as by your own logic, if you can provide me with an answer you are not rational.

I’m happy that I know contemplating suicide is not rational behaviour

I’m pleases that you’re so happy and secure in your life that you know this to be an absolute fact. I’m also very sorry to tell you that it is completely wrong.

Bit harsh on Stirling IMO, there’s some excellent biking around there. I would rather live in Stirling than Hull.
PS – Mags has been moved out of town now.

He made an extremely generous donation to a charity I’m familiar with. Heard about an appeal, phoned up totally out of the blue and made a donation that benefited hundreds possibly thousands of people. RIP.

mrvear…..sorry I was agreeing with the cook it low and slow!
But you do need a “better” cut if you want to roast it high and leave it pink in the middle. The quotes around the “better” were there because I often don’t agree that the more expensive cuts are better. I only worked as a butcher for 18 months though 😉

What mrvear said. You need a “better” cut of beef if you want to roast it and leave it pink. I would go for the slow cook/pot roast method for brisket.

Any suggestions on how to link the Atholl Woods trail to the hermitage offroad?

Back down into Dunkeld, turn left after the bridge and pick up the riverside path. Under the A9, cross the wooden bridge, pass the Forestry Office and follow the road to the Hermitage main Entrance. Personally I would miss that bit out and just head back to Birnam and take the Birnam Glen Road (opposite the hotel gates). Follow the stream up to start the Glen Garr part of the loop.

You got a good day for it 🙂

rd – Can’t tell. Have a look at a Goshawk on the RSPB site.

molgrips – male hen harrier? Typically fly close to the ground, greyish back and black wing tips. Females are brown with a distinctive whit bar at the base of the tail.

chickenman…..road and the snaking single track climbing to the 300m spot-height viewpoint

or continue climbing, then drop down passed the rocking stone, right at the end of the forest, and the ST down to lady charllotte’s cave (bear right). Or even combine them for a nice wee circuit. Best done at night!

There is some better stuff around loch ordie than that route as well although I believe some of the singletrack has been made into landrover track

No that’s rubbish TJ. There’s nothing more to see, move along now 😉 !

Yes they’ve done some work on the steep section of ST that runs up the back of the Glack (from the dam to the fork). Not quite landy track, more like a quad bike track.
