I got a BeOne Pro Raw frame from CRC last year. Was in the sale so came in at £400 delivered. Amazing value for a brilliant light carbon ht frame.
j40ajaFree MemberI’ve got one of the FSA ones in black, brand new never fitted that came with my new frame if you’re interested give me a shout.
Looking for £30 posted 1st class.j40ajaFree MemberGot a brand new one of these in black if you’re interested!

Just let me know, I haven’t put it on the classifieds so will still ahve later in the week!
Cheers,

j40ajaFree MemberGot one of these in black that came with my new frame (wanted all matching Hope stuff), still in the bubblewrap,

Spec says total stack height is 10.7mm.
Let me know if you’re interested!
Cheers.
j40ajaFree MemberYou do get 2×10 specific ones but you can just adjust the limit screws on a 3×10 front mech, also means if you change back to a 3 ring setup you can use the same mech.
I have a spare 2011 XT M771 dual pull 34.9 diameter 10 speed front mech in my garage (done about 25 miles). Looking for £20 posted if it would suit. Looks similar to the one in your link but is a conventional mount type, where the band sits higher up which I needed for my carbon frame.Dual pull does mean you can attach the cable from top or bottom.
j40ajaFree MemberI had M770 (9 speed) shifters and they worked and shifted very nicely but have gone 10 speed with the brand new M780 shifters and they are far superior.
Much more positive and crisper action, a real joy to use and worth the extra cash if you can afford it.
My M780s also have a switch to go from a triple to double front which is handy and not sure if the 770s have the same option.Depending on which brakes you have may mean you’ll struggle for matchmakers, if you go down that route. Just something to keep in mind.
j40ajaFree MemberBy the looks of the 2 links you’ve posted the compressor has 2 quick release hose connectors for the outlets.
The tyre inflator comes with a 1/4″ BSP fitting but think that is the fitting in the picture which connects the hose that goes onto your valve to the inflator handle. The bottom of the inflator handle has a push on fitting which you’ll need a jubilee clip to stop the hose from coming off and the corresponding male push in fitting on the other end of the hose to connect to the compressor.
Hope that makes sense but instructions should come with the compressor. It might come with all the parts you need and a length of hose.
j40ajaFree MemberI bought a 2012 XT groupset from them in September this year and if I remember correctly delivery was about 5 days.
Price was very good and all came as expected, not OE but all in proper Shimano boxes.
I’d definitely use them again in the future.
j40ajaFree MemberI have a 2010 BeOne Pro Raw and it’s fantastic.
Much better finish than the OnOne C456 that my friend had.
Very light too, mine came in at 1020grams(XL 21″) as the bare frame. Amazing deal at CRC for this year’s model £400 but then you get £25 off for spending over £250 and you’ll get £50 back in vochures for your next purchase.
I don’t find the top tube too short mine measure 585mm from centre of the seattube to centre of the headtube and I’m 6’4″.I’d say the geometry is very racy but the frame is very stiff and chuckable.
j40ajaFree MemberFairly sure my Sids (2010 Teams) are 100mm but can be spaced down to 80mm.
My frame is A BeOne Pro Raw carbon, so definitely o.k for 100mm but would check with the manufacturer before buying new forks.
Thing is there is nothing specifically wrong with the current setup but not confidence inspiring on small jumps on the Glentress red route near the top, or it might just be all in my head tbh. Still trying to get used to the bike after changing frame and upgrading everything in the last year.
The trail conditions are different the last 3 times I’ve been and just changed tyres so struggling to get full confidence in the bike setup.
j40ajaFree MemberI’ve just bought a Camelbak HAWG NV 20 from Merlin which seems perfect for what you’ve said needs to fit into it.
It’s expensive at RRP £100 but with all the various discounts (normal discount + VIP) including a 24 hour extra 10% off I got one for £68 posted.Seems a quality piece of kit with loads of great features.
j40ajaFree MemberI’ve got a 2010 BeOne Pro Raw carbon frame and is very nice, I considered the On One Whippet but didn’t fancy the complications with chainsets etc.
I weighed my bare frame and came in at 1020grams in an XL (21″).I got mine from CRC in the sale but this year’s models are exactly the same but in new colour options.
j40ajaFree MemberI have one of these in black if you’re interested.
Brand new not even taken out of the packaging it arrived in with my frame.
Not sure looking at the links for your frame buy is a semi integrated and retails at over £40 so should be decent. Suitable for 50mm headtubes with a 44mm inside diameter.Looking for £20 posted.
j40ajaFree MemberFor the price of the Race X2s I’d go for new XTR trails (c.£300). They are meant to be astonishingly good brakes and probably not far off the weight of the Hopes.
The XT levers look better in the metal (or chrome covered plastic) than in pictures and the short levers are great for 1 finger braking.j40ajaFree MemberI had them up until recently.
The are beautiful brakes, very light but so underpowered and expensive compared to the 2012 XTs I’ve replaced them with.Good thing about the Hopes is the fact you can replace any part that breaks or wears unlike Simano brakes and you can also personalise them as I did (red levers and bore caps).
Hope also do great matchmakers for them. It’s one part of my weight weenie carbon hardtail that I realised wasn’t worth going too light rather than good stopping power.
j40ajaFree MemberMy one is nice and quiet.
Have you put it on the right way round as they have to go on a certain way to help shifting?
j40ajaFree MemberI bought the black 2×10 XT groupset from bike-components.de about 6 weeks ago.
I went from the same setup as you have and opted for 28/40 chainset and a 11-34 cassette, I’m finding I’m using almost all of the gear combinations and don’t feel I’m missing any after the change.
Very good service and all the parts (except the cassette) were in prpoer Shimano boxes so not OE stuff taken from other bikes etc.
The whole lot came to £385 delivered which is £100 saving on RRP.I would definitely recommend them as no different to CRC etc.
j40ajaFree MemberHope floaters do fit but only just!
I have 160s fitted and there work fine.
j40ajaFree MemberYeah £25 for the pair.
Bought late last year but not used much.
Probably about 75% tread left.j40ajaFree MemberI have a pair of part used Mountain King 2.2 folding if you’re interested.
Just changed as I wanted to try the new X Kings Race Sports.
Looking for £25 posted.
j40ajaFree MemberCheers guys, especially jimw.
The link and reference to sizing was just what I was after.
One pair in large ordered from Wiggle. Liked the look of the Gore stuff but out of my price range at the moment.
j40ajaFree MemberI’m running Hope 160mm floating rotors.
Very tight for clearance on the rotor rivets but they do clear, work brilliantly and have a choice of colours too!
j40ajaFree MemberYeah I went form 2011 XT M770 full groupset 3×9 with 22, 32, 44 chainset and 11-32 cassette.
I was getting to the stage I wasn’t using all the gears anyway so was a natural progression to 2×10.
The combination I’ve gone for loses a little on road top speed stuff on the big ring and on the granny (steep stuff)slightly, I never used 22 front and 32 rear anyway. I’m now using the full range on both front rings.M780 shifters are miles ahead of the M770, much more positive, it just clicks and slots straight in. The front shifter also has a screw which switches between 2 or 3 so no worrying about altering the limit screws.
j40ajaFree MemberRight as promised here’s some pics,
Forgot to say that included in the price was chainset, front mech, rear mech, shifters, chain and cassette. All came in boxes except the cassette which was wrapped in brown paper.
I’ve already fitted the official Shimano matchmaker clamp thing which looks really good too.
j40ajaFree MemberIt was indeed one of the German sites.
They have the 2 crank options but I went for 40/28 and a 11-34 cassette.
Came in at £345 posted then just had to get it all fitted. I’ve already helitaped the crank arms but the finish looks pretty durable.
j40ajaFree MemberJust fitted it to my carbon ht last week.looks the muts nuts!
Will post pics later today if I get the chance.
j40ajaFree MemberJust buy matte finish tape like I did.
Paragon Tapes,(think that’s what they were called) on e-bay sell it in different lengths and looks really good (barely visible if fitted properly).
Too slow posting!
j40ajaFree MemberCheers DezB but will the Hope postmount to IS adaptor fit?
Could do without having to order one if the one I have will be fine.
j40ajaFree MemberOrdered a black set this morning and should get them by the middle of the week.
Will my Hope rear 160 adaptor fit or does it need to be a shimano specific one? Some people seem to be getting adaptors included and some not which seems odd.
j40ajaFree MemberI could only see options for Paypal, credit cards or prepayment.I take it you just go through the credit card option for a debit card?
Will check my order and see if I can change the payment method on-line tonight, if not I’ll contact them tomorrow to pay by debit card.
Re; Hope floaters not being light- I know there are plenty lighter but I meant compared to the Shimano ones. Hopes add a bit of bling too with colour options.
j40ajaFree MemberGot the discount code when doing it from the laptop rather than mobile.
I decided on just getting Hope floating rotors as am a bit of a weight weenie and the RT76s are rather heavy and rotational weight at that.
I have ordered them expecting to be able to pay by debit card but not an option for the U.K, so have gone for advanced payment.
I’m guessing I have to go into a Lloyds bank to pay rather than instructing my bank to pay into the Lloyds payable account? I’ve clearly never had to do a payment this way before.
Things you have to do so the other half doesn’t know you’re buying more bike bits eh!!!
j40ajaFree MemberYou’re probably right about the mobile issue.
Will try again at home from work.j40ajaFree MemberI’ve clicked the LIKE tab on Facebook for Rosebikes but can’t see where you have to go to get the discount code for 10euro off.
I am doing it through my mobile but thought it would be obvious.
Any clues?
j40ajaFree MemberNot sure if Shimano do the Icetech rotors in a 6 bolt version (only centrelock).
Scratch that they are the RT86 6 bolt but not too sure what the difference is. at a guess the 3 layer constuction of the Icetech disperses heat better.j40ajaFree MemberThing that’s making me think twice about the Hopes is that I’m selling my current Hope X2s complete so need new rotors anyway.
The price of the Shimano ones on Rose Bike seem like cracking value if they’re good.j40ajaFree MemberI know these are out of stock now 😥 but am going to put in a back order.
Just before hitting the order button, which rotors are people using with these?
Was going to try the Shimano XT RT76(6 bolt) rotors but have no issues in the past with Hope floating so not too sure which to go for.
