£500 insurance Parcelforce 48 was almost £27, asked initially about £700 insurance but that was over £36 😯

Would be happy enough if I don’t have to cover the return costs, just expected to have to pay the initial postage but £27 is taking the P!

They came fitted to my Canyon from the factory.

Thought it’d be quicker and more straight forward sending them direct. I thought that I’d have to pay the postage to Canyon anyway so might as well send the direct to Mojo.

I bought a bike from them a few years ago.

Arrived well packaged as you’d expect, the usual mostly built up and simple to finish and get riding.
I had an issue with the rear wheel which I had to return to get sorted which was simple and painless, I’d say the guy o the phone wasn’t the most helpful or polite but gave me all the info I needed to get me back riding as quickly as possible.

For the prices the sell for I’d recommend/use them in the future.

I had a set of 2010 Sid on my hardtail before I bought my FS and really rated them. The were crown lockout as are my Foxes which would be the preferred option as I like the uncluttered cockpit now I’m running 1 x 10.
Thing is there’s nothing wrong with the Fox forks but they started creaking after just over a year’s light usage so thinking going back to RockShox might be a good option.

My 8 year old daughter has a Dawes Blowfish which seems a good bike (brakes are rubbish though and not great levers for small hands) and she’s now needing a bigger bike and when my son is old enough he’l learn to ride on it.
If I were buying a kids bike again I’d look more closely at the kit fitted as things like poor brakes can affect confidence when they start to get faster or tackle hills etc.

Funny this thread coming up as I’ve just sent my Fox 32 Float Fit RL forks to Mojo for the same clicking noise. Seemed to be getting progressively worse.
Took the wheel out and grabbed the 2 fork lowers and applied a twisting motion and the noise was very worrying!
Spend £20 at my LBS to get them to check the bike over searching for a remedy for the noise and now another £27 to post the forks for a warranty repair.
Not feeling optimistic given the number of Fox owners who’ve had the same thing happen on numerous occasions.

I take it the postage costs don’t get refunded and do Mojo pay the postage costs for returning the forks or will I get another bill for poor design, quality CSU/stantion/steerer manufacture?

Yep, looks like it can go places. A little feeling of the Sopranos, which is no bad thing!

F*ing nora, good going for a 2 year old!

He’s got no fear and has really come on since the last time I saw a video of him on his balance bike.

I didn’t grease mine when I got them.
Stripped them down yesterday to give them the once after using them for 3 months. There was a decent amount of grease inside which was a little dirty but not too bad. Cleaned them and regreased and back as good as new.

If you think the ESI Racer is too thin then they do a Chunky and Extra Chunky version.
I use the Extra Chunky and they’re awesome!

Although no reply from Rick I have just looked on my Works Components account – order history and it now says Processing whereas yesterday it said Pending.

Fingers crossed my chainring will be dispatched in the next day or so!

Good products or not their communication could be improved somewhat.

    Hi Rick,

Good to see people getting there orders as I placed an order for a chainring on the 18th July. I was starting to get worried after reading that people on here having to wait longer than expected for stuff to arrive.
When I placed my order it stated an expected delivery of the 24th, now states the 29th for new orders! Will my chainring still be dispatched on or around the 24th or has this date now been moved forward?

    Cheers,

    Alan.(Works Components Order Number: 2683/180713/17)

Just had my payment refunded 🙁

Same excuse, not selling enough and not much profit so time to look elsewhere too. Shame as the price was good and looked like it would’ve done what I was after (inner chainguide to sit along with my Hope bashguard on the outside.

Ordered Sunday I think. Refund today.

    No chasing involved.

It was the weight weenie one.

    Cheers,

Maybe I’ll be lucky but their communication still leaves a lot to be desired.
I left a voicemail on his mobile today so fingers crossed he responds to them better than his online contact us queries.

    Oh dear,

I ordered a trail weight inner bash guard from raidium on the 11th July and tried e-mailing and phoning to see when it would be despatched with joy as yet.
When did you order yours? Did you have to chase up to get a refund?

    Al.

I sent a set of bars last week back to Merlin and they came to £6.75 1st class recorded.
They were Haven Carbons at 711mm wide for reference!

I think I may have been lucky at my local PO judging what others have encountered.

This is the only other picture I have at the moment as I’m in the process of changing bars and I just happen to have some pics from a while ago.

Hope this gives you a good idea of how the lever works positionally in relation to the shifters and brake lever.

I run M785 brakes with 2×10 M780 shifters with the i-spec mounts and a RH Reverb upside down.
It does look very neat and as clutter free as possible if you run a front mech.

It is tight but doable, so tight that I have to loosen the Reverb clamp and move the lever to alter the return speed.

Hope do matchmaker clamps to run with XT shifters which might be your cheapest option!

The other option is to run the Reverb lever outrboard of your shifter/brake setup. I guess it’ll be a bit of trial and error to see what works best for you.

Cheers, size guides are sometimes a bit of a lottery TBH.

I’m not sure how long it will be until I’m back at GT but good shout, with amount of snow there recently been put off travelling for not much riding.(noticed they had the Lunar Rock colour in the sale the last time I was down).

Think size 11 should be good, will order from somewhere I can return them for free if they don’t fit!

Many thanks for posting this deal.

I’ve been keeping an eye out for a new Reverb and was waiting for the exchange rate to improve to get one from Germany. This deal is even better value (about £30 saving and free delivery) and easier to return for warranty issues!!

I think it’s to do with the MMX part of the clamp if you bought a Reverb with that option. If you attach to SRAM brakes/shifters then that black piece comes out like matchmaker/i-spec systems.

I had my right hand Reverb lever upside down on the left with XT i-spec shifter/brake lever.
It is tight space wise and I needed to fiddle with the positioning a bit but got there in the end. Only negative was that to alter the return speed adjuster I had to loosen the clamp to free things off a little.

Here’s a pic of the way I had it set up!

I ordered a set of carbon Havens yesterday from Merlin and they arrived today, great service. Only bought them because I fancy trying a wider bar than my 685mm wide Easton Monkeylites.
Unfortunately I had to return them as there was a flaw in the carbon which resulted in an indentation which would probably have been fine but would always have wondered if there was a weak point!

They’re sending me another set and refunding the return postage (if they agree that it’s a warranty claim).

I do like the look of the CB19 but just wondered how many of the tools will never get used?

Heard so many bad reports of CB stuff (looks good but poor design and quality issues) with the only exceptions being their multitools which seems slightly odd to me.

Where are the best places to get a KS Lev?

Just sold my 420mm long Reverb as I want a shorter post hopefully with 100mm travel.
May end up getting another Reverb as it worked perfectly with no issues but wondered what alternatives were worth considering.

    Update on the Superstar offering.

Perfect replacement for the original Acros bearing. . . However the sealing is just the same, so I don’t expect it to last that long.

Anyone got (or can find) a nice close up of the sealing on the Cane Creek bearing?

    Marko

Here is e close up shot of the Cane Creek 110 bearing. On the right is the new crown race that comes with the lower bearing which has a good quality seal built in.

My LBS fitted the new bearing today (the Acros one fell out apparently in peices and he commented on the quality of the CC being of similar quality to CK or Hope.
Pick up my bike on Thursday as the shop is shut tomorrow but was getting new gear cables, cassete, chain and XT shadow+ mech fitted.

Should be sorted for the biking season ahead.

Got a POC Trabec Race, came from a Giro Hex.

POC is really comfy and doesn’t get too hot with the added benefit of great coverage without looking like a mushroom. Amazon have them for just over £90 depending on your sizing!

I had a set built up with Crests on my carbon HT and I liked them. I was borderline for their recommended weight limit of 85kg which was always in the back of my mind, never had an issues though.
Now running Pro2 Evo hubs on Arch EX rims which I really like and seem a bit more sturdy for going over rougher stuff.

I have a 2012 Nerve XC and it’s a brilliant bike. Arrived a bit quicker than claimed and was simple to put together.

I had a couple of things that went wrong with components, Canyon paid my bill to my LBS £15 to repair one fault and my faulty SLX shifter was replaced under warranty (took a while but that was down to Shimano).

I’ve almost always gotten through to someone on Canyons UK number and had help and advise when contacting them. Their online fit finder thing was rubbish for me, kept telling me I needed a large even with me being 6’4″ but a quick call put my mind at rest.

Would recommend the brand and bike to anyone, price has gone up a fair chunk since I got mine down to the exchange rate change.

The CC 110 arrived today from Tredz but I left it at work but can post a picture on Monday of the seals.

Will hopefully get it fitted Mon/Tuesday.

I take it the bearing doesn’t need pressed in? Just slip it onto the steerer above the crown race and fit back into the headtube.

I did exactly what you’re planning on doing late last year.

I fitted a Hope bash to replace a 42t big ring on my 10 speed triple XT chainset. The only other things I did was to wind in the top limit screw on the front mech which prevents you accidentally trying to shift into the big ring and shortened the chain to suit.
Works great, looks great can highly recommend doing the switch to double and bash!

I am planning on fitted a medium cage rear mech but works fine with the long cage fitted at the moment.

Right I received a reply back from Cane Creek with a answer, their reply was,

Yes, the IS52/40 is exactly what you need. We have that available in
    both the 40 or 110-Series.

I think for the little extra cost I might go for the 110 with it’s amazing warranty and better quality materials used!

Am really impressed with the speed of reply from CC and the fact they gave a definite answer!

You manged to pick out the only negative part of the bike! 😉

Not sure on the green forks but basically £2k for frame rear shock and maxle! Only thing is a thing of beauty like that need nice bits bolted to it not cheap/make do stuff.

    will do mattjevans,

Will probably order it later this week if I get confirmation from CC that it will definitely fit the frame.

Not overly impressed with the Acros bearings as I’ve never had problems with a headset before, unless it’s down to the design of the Nerve headtube.
My last Hope headset was a semi integrated(integral) type and it just worked perfectly, pretty much a fit and forget piece of engineering.

Why when it’s just a fad and in a matter of time everyone will be going back to 26ers because they’re doss 😉

    Cheers Marko,

I’ve had Hope headsets in my last 2 bikes so they would’ve been the preference but will have to look elsewhere.

Like the look of the Cane Creek offering, worth a punt and will report back once I see how it goes!
