IME no alcohol returns substantial benefits when out on a bike.

I can confirm that Alpine bikes can supply a bike to those with halfords vouchers. Accessories have to be from Halfords directly.

    Good DIY.
That decathlon one. Surely it only works of you have V brake mounts?

My main interest is that it claims to fill the [geographical] gaps of trail centre distribution. Hopefully this will mean that we get a significant trail not to far from Glasgow. Either the expansion of Carron Valley or my preference would be somewhere in the Trossachs. I'm not holding my breath.

In reality I think it will be a lot of 'off-road' cycle ways and the further expansion of sustrans type routes. A good think in itself but not of much interest to me.

    (b) – for me

Looking around helps, as does little 'wobbles' from time to time to show that you need a bit of space. If I'm in any doubt about cars having enough space to pass safely without squeezing me, then I'll check behind and drift out a little.
Agree. Little wobbles are good to show that you actually take up a metre or so of road space, about half a lane.

In the last year or so, when I'm driving, I've also found myself drifting more towards the centreline when there are cyclists coming towards me with a car trying to squeeze past behind them.

Disagree. If the overtaking driver has commited to the overtake then you are at risk of hitting them head-on or forcing them back into the area of the cyclist. You are also in the wrong if you are crossing the white line into on-comming traffic.

    Bit of both for me.
The faster they are passing me then the further away I prefer them to be. I do like a minimum space of my own arm length or so – If I can touch there car they are too close – they usually get a rap on the proverbial knuckles (wing mirror or roof) to let them know they are too close.

Tried all TJ's suggestions. Cant pull it off the front even with the strap undone. I would say its a good comfortable fit.
    Thanks for the prompt replies.

Love my MT500 jersey, and ST shorts, and Bibs,….merino socks aren't the best I've tried.
    🙂
Great Company and I've always had good customer service from them.

Very nice. That's on my wish list when I can afford it. Got a great review in Dirt Mag.

yep, SLX has 3 largest cogs on a 'carrier' and XT has 6 or 7.

There are specific seals for internal brick and stone work. Make sure you specify a matt or satin one or it will look very shiny like the pic above.
Have you exposed the brick already? A new build house is more likely to have an inner wall of concrete block, if any inner block(some timber frames) or a very low spec clay at least. A low spec clay could either be very plain – which will look rubbish or it will be quite random which is usually much nicer (within reason).
The odd bit of Contrete 'Snot' can be good. and don't make the pointing too good.

Where are you based? Might not help now if you have submitted your voucher but Alpine Bikes in Scotland are Genesis Dealers and they except Halfords vouchers.
FWIW the drop bar Day One (orange frame) is a really lovely bike.

AFAIK all the lights are focused to give the best balance of distance and spread. Obviously with multiple lenses like the race and MaxxD this is easier and more tune-able than single lenses. I have no real comparison for beam pattern but I thought a diablo would still be very bright. An email or call to exposure directly would probably be better than posting here. IME they have good customer service this way.
A lesser tourch like a fenix would be better all round and cheaper. My fenix still punches through a P7 led because it more focused.
I also suggest you angle the MaxxD further downwards.

For piece of mind and outstanding quality of light go for the Exposure Diablo or for 3x's run time the Toro is preferable for the cost.

For an amazing light at a bargain price then Alpine bikes are selling the L&M seca 700[/url] for £135. Absolute bargain but it does have a small remote battery, small enough to mount on a stem.

There are so many things to consider. Here's some set up things to think about:
1.How is the rebound set between both forks? If your rebound is to fast it can push/bouce the wheel out (understeer) through the corner.
2.If your combination of preload and compression is too soft it could mean the fork is diving too much and putting you over the top of the wheel rather than behind it.
3.Is it possible that the whole nature of the FS vs HT means that the rear tyre is too well connected while the HT will be skipping/sliding more. What are the rear tyres on each bike?
4.If your breaking hard into the corner and the bike is not settled then the bike could be jacking up. Not sure how this will affect and usually the whole bike will be compressed in the corner if done correctly.

Put it on your pack or helmet so that its out of the way of the worst mud.
    Or get a mudguard.

This is exactly what happened to my friends FS Team, half way out on the first lap of 10 more at Moray as well. He came back to the pits and we put it back together with some thread lock and put him back out to do his allocation of laps. Its been good ever since.
Moral of the story, do not rely on Halfords for anything.

On the frame only one option:
Knog BullFrog on the seat post for lit commute. Very bright and no crappy had bracket to brake.
Smart 1/2W is very good as is the cateye TD-L610 if you are mounting off the frame or on clothes due to the clip they come with.
    Exposure Red-eye for unlit roads.
Lots of reflective panels are very effective.

If your riding quite rough terrain then it could be flapping side to side and letting the mud past.

Make sure all the bolts are tight. My mate bought one and his main pivot bolt fell out on its second ride.
    I agree, great bikes.

I use some 15wt fork oil on my revs. It's what they tell you to put in the fork lowers as lubrication so must be good for stantions as well. Keeps cleaner than wet lube as well.

    Schwalbe Marathon Plus or Ultimate.
For a lighter option try Specialized's Armadillo range or Bontrager's Hardcase range.

Ascenders should give way as they are already going slowly while a desender will be travelling fast therefore take further to stop and in doing so may lose control in a effort to slow down and avoid the obstical.
Ascenders will be going slowly and as a result they can hear more so should be able to hear the on coming descender.

eh. Rev air(with 20mm) is a pike air, just different decal. Seems illogical to me unless you are intending to go for the QR rev.

Simples. Did exactly the same thing this morning on two Circa 2005 shimano hubs. took less than an hour, while watching TV. off out on a ride now.
Take all cones off drive side axle and remove axle the 10mm allan key and remove free hub. As mentioned park and You Tube probably have more detailed instructions.

Rarely found myself under sprung unless I'm out of control, but I have found my forks/head angle too steep for some stuff. However if I did have a slacker head angle I probably go faster then find I needed more travel.

I've not been in a while since the closed trails or before the shredder was finished. I like the trial a lot. As others have said; The top would run much nicer if smoother. Get rid of the long fire road section near the beginning.

Are you insulating from the loft or insulating the loft space. I can't remember the specific U-value (about 0.16 to ceiling and loft space combined or 0.2 if only the roof layer) but 200mm un-compacted quilt is what is usually installed between ceiling joists.
as aP says its U-values that matter. The 50mm that you builder refers to rigid board an sounds like the absolute minimum you require. Basically where insulation is concerned you should put in as much as affordable.
Kingspan website is very help full. Here's a starter http://www.insulation.kingspan.com/uk/pdf/k7.pdf
BTW. This is not the only product or solution

Those are the best photos I've seen of it so far. For some reason I think the press photos and videos do do the body changes justice. Just love the massive grill and arches.
