How about a Goan fish curry.
Fry 1x Onion, Chilli, Garlic clove and small piece of ginger.
Add a tsp of ground cumin and coriander, ½ tsp of turmeric and garam masala.
100ml of coconut milk and 200gm of chopped tomatoes, splash of water and cook for 5 mins.
Add chunks of white fish, good piece of haddock ideal, cover and cook for 5 mins. Add some raw king prawns, cover and cook for another 3-4 mins.
Stir in a squeeze of lime juice and chopped fresh coriander.
Great with basmati rice (also add a little coconut milk to the rice) and peshwari naan.

Grade 8 Euphonium and made the televised stage of Young Musician sometime in the 80’s. Not played for 15 years or more though and don’t really miss it…

iPhone6 seems to be much more prone to scratching than previous models though, not sure about 6s. InToro now fitted to mine, never previously bothered with any kind of protector on 4/5…

Shock is mounted through the seat tube. As chrishc777 mentioned, to make the CCDB adjustments accessible, you would need to mount with the can to the rear. CCDB Inline can has a diameter of around 7cm (inc. air valve), Fox Float around 4cm, so more than likely not enough frame clearance.

Re: CCDB Inline, CC Fit Finder says no, as does this thread on MTBR…

+1 on grip, gives more than expected and predictable grip too.

Rolls very well, but does wear fairly quickly, but that’s to be expected from a low profile tread.

Very happy with them as a summer XC tyre though.

    +1 Quiraing.
Also a wander around Old Man of Storr, fairly easily extended to Storr summit, if it’s a nice day for fabulous views.

If you have any interest in wildlife, there are boat trips from Portree to see the local Sea Eagles and other stuff like dolphins, if you’re lucky (MV Stardust). Try to take the first trip in the morning if you go.

If you’re looking at the Sportspursuit deals, then they’re a blummin great deal.

If it’s cycling specific, they have a new Ciclo jacket, not seen one, but on paper it looks too heavy.

I have an original Velez smock, as Suggsey says, tends to be used for cold Autumn/Winter days only and never on the bike. Quito Jacket works pretty well on the bike though, but again really only in cold weather.

Caged ground feeder might also work.

Birds like Robins, Dunnocks, Wrens tend to prefer ground feeding anyway, holes will probably be too small for Thrushes, Blackbirds, but will definitely keep out anything bigger.

Interesting! like half price 18 then…

    And around half as good…

I can’t work out what’s going on with this no age blox.

Macallan 12yo Sherry Oak was my tipple of choice, Gold is not nearly as nice, more like the Fine Oak. Sienna is pleasant, but twice the price of the Sherry 12 and certainly no 18yo, but then Sherry 18 would set you back another 50% again on top of the price of Sienna.

Bottle of Amber on my list now to see if that fills the gap left by the 12…

Kona 2+2 XC, not getting ridden much these days, but I’ll not let go of it, fantastically capable bike for 100mm both ends, regardless of the unfashionable Magic Link.

No connection with q:bikes, but Nick is local to me, so have used him for a fork/shock and brake service. Top job, will definitely be using him again.

One of the Ride Sheffield guys put together a survey just a few months ago, some detail and highlights here[/url].

Not sure if it’s ever been shared with DCC/PDNPA though, might be time to blow the dust off it, if not.

The ‘alternate’ path is a Public Footpath, not just a cheeky walk-around.

Aye, but the point made by someone else was that the erosion of the main track was causing people to divert onto the bank, I don’t agree and believe that making the main track smooth and fast will cause more people to use and erode the bank.

so it needs fixing as its obviously causing the track to widen as people walk around them. the only other option would be to put another track in i guess and i cant see them doing that.

In my experience of that section, the path on the bank has been created by walkers trying to give people descending more room to pick their line and I expect because walkers don’t want to be in a sunken path when a group of bikes arrives from the other direction.

Smoothing the main track out means bikes arriving even faster though, so I fully expect just as many walkers to keep taking the alternate path.

Not so much a recipe, but been known to curry Grouse, local butcher keeps a few brace back for Christmas time. Bang them in the slow cooker for a few hours, take the meat off the bone, then marinade overnight in yoghurt and spices, finish with a sauce next day.

Fair do’s, might try and stick it on the other wheel, see if it’s as bad. Otherwise might be a nearly new 650B Vigilante 2.3 in the classifieds next week…

Similar position, Baron’s on the 26er in winter, want something similar in 27.5. Just ordered a WTB Vigilante, was thinking of combining with a WTB Trail Boss, but can’t seem to find anyone stocking that yet…
