    Hi ttth,

When are you coming up in June,
Because the Beltane festival is on 17th – 23rd June, it can be a bit hard to get somewhere to stay. How many people are coming?

p.s. Peebles can be completely mental in the pubs that week.

It seems a common fault on the left hand side of fox forks, i’ve heard the cause is the disc brakes, every time you pull on the brakes, it moves the forks.[this could be tosh]

Just back from Glentress, some puddles but it is as druidh says very warm and also windy in Peebles just now. All trials fine if a bit wet.

my 6 year old is also a bit wobbly, the green route up and down the riverside was great for her confidence. It uses fireroads and some singletrack. Our 3 year was on the tagalong.

proteus, munrobiker, i’ll take the bait. The helmet is a met parachute, so i’m apparently increasing my risk. No other body armour involved.

partyboy, nope it wasn’t TJ, unless he has changed his accent. The last time I rode with him, he didn’t worry that i took my helmet off, but I like your idea. Although Mrs Ivnickkate doesn’t.

We tried helmets on both our kids, but they were uncomfortable at that age. The helmet was pushing back on their heads/necks. We ended up putting their car seat in the trailer.

    Hi Ryan,

I don’t whether this would bother you or not. I tried a Whyte E-120, same design, but it didn’t fit onto my car roof bike-carrier, because of where the rear shock sits.

I know that I could have bought another type of carrier, but that added to the price.

I think the resale value of the pitch may be more, but that’s not really the question here.

It seemed a comfy bike that i would have been happy all day on, but when I’m on any bike, I’m happy.

Hi Hels, I met you at Glentress 7, did you enjoy the family ride/sprint on Tuesday night?

Neil and I guided the local ride-out today,[Cademuir ridgeline]and yesterday [Gypsy glen].

Yes, I walked out at Standard Life, i figured it was either that or lose my sanity.

I took a stop-gap job at a local authority parks department, and 20 years later i’m still there.

It’s not the best paid job in the world, but i like the work and the other staff. Great hours, holidays, and I commute on bike,[2 miles].

Hi Shanta, here is a link for you, but the dates on the site are last years. However, if you want to e-mail Tweedlove, and go on the database for updates. I’m in the gallery, pics 22-28.

If you do decide to come here, e-mail me and I can lend you some trail maps.
