Remembering you are paying 79 for a 2.50 battery to get the speed back.

Now contract are running for more than 2 years I guess this is a way to stop people coming and claiming a battery before they have finished paying for the device.

Plenty of iPhone pop ups too.

I stopped reading the forum due to it some time ago and just started again.

Had no problems last month with an odd assortment of stuff mailed to the US.

Will always check what the have. I assumed they had a US warehouse but it came from the UK.

The whole wiggle thing had passed me by.

That’s a great price. I just got one out here for $265 plus $15 tax in the Black Friday sales.

    Though I was doing well.

I don’t really agree but can see where the car drivers are coming from if conditions are bad.

To try and go around a cyclist could put you in deep snow or truck ruts into oncoming traffic etc…..

Changing conditions and ice also mean you may only have control to within 2 or 3 feet to where you want to be. If a cyclist just happens to be using that space when you need it, then there is an ‘accident’. Fine if you are Sat in the car with your heated seat on.

Since moving to Illinois I have seen the most stupid behaviour in the snow from drivers which is amazing considering its white outside for at least 3 months a year. Changed my opinion of getting near roads on a bike, still do it, but now ultra defensive.

I am back to using local shops, probably because I am not wearing things out so quickly and probably a bit wiser.
If I want something cheaper, I usually buy it used.

    1 and puncture kit.

Only used it once in the last 3000miles. It was a snake bite

Need another tyre soon so might got up to 700×35 or bigger.

Basically because I keep getting heavier.

Not sure if you get the Trek Superfly 20 over in the UK.

We had an Isla scoot, then cnoc14 before but being in the US, the Isla cost more than the Trek and looked less racy. Similar on spec also with a gripshift.

Bought another Isla for the 2yo and the cnoc is waiting for him.

Biggest problem is letting a kid out on an expensive bike even down the road to a mates house. And bike-tag is the game of the devil, everyone else on Wal-Mart bmx. All I can see is the shiny rear mech living dangerously.

I use an old berghaus ruck sack, 40l or so and has the stand off the back bit.

Always carry my laptop and 26miles a day. Not doing it regular at the moment but was 4 times a week at 1 point with no issues.

Has a pullout waterproof cover but always stick a carrier bag on the laptop too.

2004 pair of specialized bg gloves I found to ride to work this week.

All of the grippy rubbery cover has disintegrated and the gel pad gone solid. Didn’t realize in the dark what the issue was but couldn’t get out of the saddle as the material underneath was shiny shell suit stuff and my hands would slip off the bars.

It’s ace, one of the few shows I watch on the 400 channels of dross I have.

I like the idea of the [spoilers] at the end of the last episode.

    I have a tab2 7in and its fine.

By all accounts the nexus is better but wasnt around when I bought the tab.

I still prefer the feel of holding the samsung.

Fiat only make 1 car with a list price margin over 10%.

But in reality I suppose its where you hide the development costs. The RangeRover Sport is a massively over priced parts bin special where the development could be hidden but I am sure its nowhere near 300%.

Tbh, knowing how my costs have gone up I imagine most manufactures are finding their margins getting far smaller

There are a few good retro areas I have been to,

    Centre Parks
    Chicago Lakeshore
The parks and lakes around Munich

Lots of very tidy well specced bikes out for their yearly run in the holidays. Probably by the original owners who bought something they really didnt need at the time.

My dad has a couple of virtually unused Puch bikes from the early 90s. One is XT and has nice bits fitted. Not sure if I can be bothered to fiddle with old bikes though considering the new ones dont get enough use.

Atleast the 2.5s destroy their engines every 80k. Its some consolation for the rest of us.

Maybe I was an early convert, I have always had 2.4″ tyres on my 26″ rims.

suppose it helps all the bikes with lots of links that cant fit a fat tyre but my famous single pivot handles them fine.

I have 3 old cars, generally not all go wrong at the same time, but just spent 200quid on a bike for my 3 year old.

Only here can I get away with admitting that.

Really, if noone bought new cars what do people think would happen to the price of used ones? Stop moaning and let people enjoy the cars and then buy it off them once it needs mots and things fixing.

I dont buy any bikes parts of value any more so its less of a problem. Generally anything the goes on it the garage is no questions asked providing her car is fixed and maintained.
Motorbikes tend to cause more complaints as does listing bikes on the house insurance.

Although I added up her last months Starbucks receipts last month and it was about £110. I have ‘gone on about it’ maybe a bit too much.

Chimney starter has to be up there. Although I am sure ther will be some homegrown onea on here to prive we has wasted our money.

Ikea shelves. Industrial looking things but cost 20quid new and have done the first 10years heavily laden with the slightest deformation.

Great, hope there is enough fuel for me to do something similar in about 20years time.

All series Landrover chassis are now modified in some way, even if its just to get them through the mot.

Is that a starting handle behind the front bumper?

I remember when this forum used to read the question and answer it.

From what I can see titus doesnt want some old german barge that has to taken to a specialist every year to be mot’d etc…. .

Was going to say 370z or Guilietta Cloverleaf.
For something different whats a fast Evoque cost these days or order up a new Mini Paceman.

My mgs and rovers (pre2004) were all fine as was was my Panda. Would have any of them again.
anyone who slates a panda really doesnt have a grip on reality. (but probably spends time gripping the dashboard just to determine if it is the magic soft touch for the full 5 stars)

Great Wall is based on an old GM truck.
Just check out what the taliban use now, no toyotas, all chinese trucks.

    Bravo, proper man behaviour.

silly enough to run bike and swim till you bleed internally and then rip parts of your body off with pliers.

I am sure yorkshire would accept you as one of their own now.
