As said previously find people to ride with. The more ther merrier . If u work different shifts get a pool of people who are available the times tah u are

Ride within your own ability and don’t let others push u harder than ur comfort allows

    Most of all have fun

Your all missing a very valid point……

When sky net tries to take over humanity many years from now we will have to send a state leader back in time so there.

After reading this thread I’m sure that each and everyone of us will hold those that we love just that little bit closer tomorrow.

Keep posting, keep talking, share your memories with each other and cry when you need to.

My thoughts and wishes are with you.

It’s probably exactly what Daveh says……

Get a shock pump and check to make sure it has 250psi in. It’ll work fine then.

Wasn’t going to recite company information back to them but it is good to see a typical stw reply. I was interested ’twas all. I don’t really understand it like I said and was hoping for a quick and simple explanation. Perhaps I should have been clearer with my op I do ever so apologise for misleading you all I hope we can draw a line under this and move swiftly on.

Right guys cheers for all the info. I think the buying a bigger size tactic seems to be the best idea. Unless they do daveyboywonders answer in a slightly more portable version lol. I’ll look at the decathlon liners as well.

I got the zip less deluge ones yesterday in a large and I’m 44. Wouldn’t want them to be any smaller so if you got bigger feet you might want to consider slightly larger

Never been near the Surrey hills but I use nobby nic front back all year I’m local to cwmcarn and surrounding mountains. Recently stuck a dampf on the front for the winter. Can’t comment on it yet though.

Have heard extremely good things about the spesh tyres though.

Also now uve lost the weight you now need to concentrate in maintaining it. Carbs whilst training fuel the muscles. Without fuel thy wont work like they are meant to.

I was told try to intake your body weight in kg plus 25g

    For example. My weight = 76kg. 76 + 25 = 101g of carbs per hour.

This is harder than it sounds an was to much for me to intake during a ride so I just go for around 75g per hour. This seems to work for me. ( this 75g can come from carb drinks malt loaf etc )

Cliff bar shot bloks are good but expensive.

    Hope this makes sense

Don’t know if its the same everywhere but whoever gets elected here will take home approx 70,000 a year salary. Hhmmm.

Yep i can see your point it must be really hard to weigh the bike as sold ( these bikes come made up with pedals and chain guard. What you see is what you get ). Then state it as such next to the weight on the website. Islabike roughly 6kg specialized hotrock roughly 9kg that’s 50% different. Why should I waste my time going to a store nowhere near me to find out a bike is possibly heavier .

Do u really need to let air out of shock?

I’ve done it big to big no rear der +2 links.

Seems fine and no dropped chain. Same method for my ht and fs

    I’m quite possibly wrong though

Lol @ memo I think I get it.

Cheers for all the advice and info.

I am a pretty fit mtber but due to shoulder complications I am forced partially to the darkside. I have no choice other than to get on with it . If you see what I mean.

I know that if I go cheaper I will instantly regret it. ( yes I am shallow , easy to influence and a marketers dream).

I will check out the other options. And will def go somewhere to get sized up first. Any other alternatives guys ?

Have u tried the rear articulation spacers ( the ones by the rear der ) ? Mate just bought a brand new zesty and that was the culprit.

I’m 5′ 9″ and ride a medium 514. Love the bike and when I replace it, it will be with the same but I would like to try a small first ( just to satisfy my curiosity ).

Thought I saw on my mortgage that I could remove a name from it for a £75 admin charge. As long as its getting paid surely there won’t be any raised eyebrows ??

Read the policy and see list of charges?

    Good luck

I totally agree palookah. It shouldnt be a segment ( there not even an incline ). But alas it is. And as such it will always flag up on segments when I ride to work.
