DE razor or Gillette Sensitive for wet

Braun S5  – Good, but lost in baggage and expensive foils.

Now have a Anders? balding foiler shaver, a bit like the Whal Pro & Phillips Body groom 3000/5000 with a foil shave.

We did IVF and it didn’t work for us, took some time out and eventually adopted.

It’s exhausting and very much a rollercoaster – but we tried everything together and although it didn’t go to plan- there is a great & happy life on the other side.

    Two things:

Be honest and completely commit to your choices is the thing that got us through it.

Find something to stay sane and centered – your wife/partner is experiencing 10x the challenge.

Wet razor, either Gillette or safety razor if I’m feeling frisky & Wahl balding foil shaver works for me.

Had the Skull Shaver for a while, very expensive foil replacements.

Obviously I’m sporting the Kojac look.  Any shouts for post shave skincare?

Best of the new series, I liked the orange /white design nod.

Rogue One is the only half decent film since Disney.

The new Apple Watch has a fall detection system, and I think it has an alert function too.

    Edit: typo.

Great film, loved the simplicity of it. The tutorial film is good too.

China is already the leading economy by some measures, second in gdp terms. By 2050 we’re projected to be 10th with US 3rd behind China & India.

I read, I think in another book on Thucydides trap by Bruno Marceas that China is equal or ahead on something like 10/15 strategic issues such as quantum, AI.

There not considered to be ahead in military strength but have a good chance of winning in the Pacific. Plus is US+ it’s allies which tips the scales against conventional war.

China does and can afford to play a longer game and see some of these issues out.

Consensus seems to be that the next ten yrs are going to be bumpy.

Double down. Buy a Shot Gun /kids seat and get out in the woods with them. Did that a lot these two summers. Hardly done any rides without the kids… Different relationship with the bikes for a few years, still loads of fun.

Our Wren experience was a real mixed bag. We bought some second-hand excess base units and bits then bought the rest direct. was a mix of their premium and next level down range. The designer was good, the units and bits all fitted, the initial quality looked good – I’m not so sure that at +3 years it’ll still be in. We’ve had to change a few of the premium/next doors on basic wear/chip and hinge issues, and had a dangerous failure of one shelving rack – since removed.

CEN is a standard. It’s made bikes more robust and in some case less flexible on the alter of structural integrity.

I’ve gone for a digi sub. Enjoy the mag but often don’t pick it up now – reading on a tablet is fine. £20/yr is a good value for this forum and the mag. Not keen on the rolling up my trouser leg thing mind.

Good idea, need to see how they get their data & add open source for reporting.

Is this just showing where customers have given permission to report the data?

    Great PSA for the Brooks.

I clicked on the link – £400 for a saddle. I closed my phone and tried again, still £400. Bugger me.

NHS says get a test and stay at home until you get a result https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms/#symptoms

Employment advice on directing to take a test seems to rest under ‘reasonble management’ instructions, but this could be subject to debate on both sides, for example- https://www.stevens-bolton.com/site/insights/articles/can-employers-demand-staff-take-a-covid19-test

Accessiblity of testing regiemes would make for an interesting argument. Employer pays for a private test?

Look at the Places to Ride fund from BC. Lowest I saw was 30k on a small refurb in the mids, highest expected was 350k for Fort Willian. I was working on high 00k to 150k for a reasonble local track. Archtrail seem to do some really good stuff and I think are the UK Velo people.

I’ve done a fair bit of work for a possible local track, happy to share. Drop me a note walkerdavidjames g…e.com

600-700 using a Smart Peak flow meter which is on average -10% to 15% variance with the standard meter from the Doc. As others I look for the pattern and drops. 40+ not particularly CV fit right now.

Edit: Is the Airofit any good?

Nookie 3/4 bottoms and shorts, BA and one of these might be better – allows you to match and mix to summer conditions. A cag can be added to give more warm/wind protection if needed. Used to boat in this all the time and the IR posh version

Sorry to read this. Some great advice here on the practcial side, work, money.

As others have said make sure you just set some time to have a chat with him as your Dad. Before I lost my Dad we managed to have a bitter shandy and a chat about life, football and just two grown men chewing the fat. I’ll always be grateful for that.

Your brothers – they might be flakey, but they’ll need time to get their head around this too. Think about broaching it with them. I’m much younger than my siblings even though I was in my 30’s they still tried to ‘manage’ me on this. I would have preferred to be told straight out and had more time to address it.

Try to exercise and keep moving. Took me ages to physically get over it – riding the bike and weights helped my head and body so much with this.

Get yourself some Speedo or Decathlon jammers if you are swimming laps. If nothing else the social anxiety might spur you on to swim faster.

Hi – In your specific case, no idea… But I’d get an MRI so the doc/Physio can work from an informed position. I got one about 2yrs back on a neck problem, which then allowed them to say yep, it’s buggered, but we can do this to fix it.

I went private and paid, mri done and results that morning.

Addy – How do you link up Waesley to Clent without too much road/lanes?

    itsallgood
    Full Member

The Lickey/Waesley Hill round is my from the door ride. Surprisingly nice and green considering you are only 11ish miles out of town. As others said Cannock/Wyre are not too far away.

Selected parts of Rubery ( +1 for the canal into town, under 1 hour easy, 10-15 mins on a few minor road). Alvechurch? Pricey, but nice.

Mosley and Harbourne if you want a midweek drink. A cheaper option a few years back now could be Kings Heath, you can ride across a few parks to get to the Rea/Canal route into town/uni.

Alternatively, you could rent overlooking Edgebaston Res, thinking you are in Edgebaston… and actually be in Ladywood.

Either or, as above. Start easy, and get used to the trails. I’d say wear helmet and gloves as you’ll probably fall off at some point!
