I have an A2 and I love it for riding round the High Peak. Would definitely go for the A1 at that price!

Love mine, I’m 6’2″ with big chest/shoulders and the XL fits like a dream.

Wore it for a quick walk last night and it was perfect.

Ordered to replace my 7yr old Altura Mayhem which has finally started to leak on the shoulders  Hopefully this will last as long!

I’ve just dropped for one from Evans too, ordered a L and XL to try them both. Couldn’t really say no at £120!

Yeah if you’re like me and sweat like **** in all weathers then they are recommended.

Can definitely tell the difference after a tough session if I’ve not taken some.

Sneaky, I bought my 8yr old the 26″ a few weeks back for £330 (before the discount) and I’m glad I did now!

My new favourite kids bike brand is Wiggins.

Got my 8yr old who I expected to go to a 24 a 26″ and it’s superb. Spec is excellent, rides great and my son loves it. Cheaper than Frog/Hoy/Pinnacle/etc and I dare say better!

Yeah 27.5 is an option, at the moment it’s mainly fireroad/school commute type stuff but I’d like something that he could potentially spin over South Head on.

Biggest problem is I’ve got to sort a bike out for his younger brother as well which is why funds are short and I don’t want either to be without for long while the weather is good.

Thanks for all the advice everyone!

Thanks for all the advice, that Wiggins bike looks alright for the money. Probably give it another week or two with the wanted ad then let him have a look in Halfrauds

But if the IMEI had been reported stolen/missing then it wouldn’t matter what police station you hand it in to.
Sounds to me like someone has dropped/lost it and it wasn’t insured so they haven’t bothered to report it stolen/missing and get it blocked as they can’t claim for it anyway.
Get a free pay as you go sim in it to check if it works and if so get it sold!

I’m using the cyclescheme again this winter for one main reason, I’m going to notice the money less if it’s deducted within my wages than if I have to make a payment each month. Might sound daft but that works for me!

Don’t get plastic rings, I got a wooden set from China off ebay. I weight 92kg and have done me perfectly well and were only £15

Yeah had one last night, kept me awake for about an hour afterwards. Was more a real life situation as well rather than scary/horror type nightmare

Tried posting a pic but photobucket seems to have changed their policies. Frame is 03-04ish rockhopper, mk1 Pikes, 1×10 and rock shox dropper. Scales are proper Salter hanging scales for weighing animals and the like.
Not really bothered about the weight, like I said it was mainly to see how my buzzrack would cope with my unicycle strapped on as well!

Just looked on mine and I have nearly 2.5gb on cached data, usually clear it every couple of weeks.

One other thing to try before a factory reset, go to settings, storage, then press on cached data and clear that.

If all photo’s/media are on the memory card can you not erase the memory, update the OS and reinstall the apps you want?
This is exactly why I stick with the vanilla phones now like Nexus 5X, no shit on there I never use/need!

I was against drops so fitted flats on my CdF 2015 when I got it new. Rode it like that for the commute over winter in the High Peak and was ok, swapped the bars for some low risers off a BTwin which felt slightly comfier then gave in and went to the original drops and was a huge improvement. Fully converted to them now, wouldn’t go back for sure (and I’m used to seatless trials bikes with super high front end setups).
Also found the standard Conti semi slicks to be more than upto the job riding down roads heavily used by HGV’s accessing quarries so loads of potholes and rough riding, speed was pretty decent (up with the roadies on Strava segments) and not one single puncture.

Pointless recommendation here but don’t try beef isolate, whilst it is probably the most effective protein I’ve ever used it does have a taste of beef about it which is rank. Also doesn’t mix well at all without a blender

Can I also recommend The Adelphi just on the other side of the river, great pub and excellent food and beer!

Despised our CMAX, worst car I’ve ever owned and was glad to be rid of it though we had loads of trouble with the engine. Size wise it was adequate for me, my wife and our two boys at the time along with their bikes in the ample boot. A more modern version would no doubt be a worthy purchase and it wasn’t overly big either, same footprint as a focus if I remember correctly??

I got a similar thing from Superstar when they were on offer for about £7 a while back, great tool and comes in very handy http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/pocket-ratchet-toolset.htm

Sounds like BS to me, a friend of mine laces all the wheels for Inspired trials bikes and he can get a bombproof wheel straight as anything in his front room!

I ran the DMR V6’s on my Santa Cruz and they were great but normal size, Jitsie do some kids specific aftermarket caged pedals http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/caged_pedals/jitsie_kids_caged_pedals/c149p13188.html

So I made a post about a multi fuel stove the other day, put it this way, if it’s not metal it goes on the fire here. We have no kitchen bin except for the dog…..

Orbea 24 MX Team for my lad, absolutely loves it and swapped the drivetrain to a spare 10 speed set I had.

Reverse camera in our 3008 is the greatest invention ever, has lines on the screen to help you judge how straight you are and when to stop. Never thought I’d rely on something so much!

Sounds to me like the Alpkit Gamma is ideal, my wife uses one and loves hers. Battery life is also pretty good and it’s cheap.

As for siggies, quite understandable though for those in the game I’d have to throw Control in as well!

Ours is run off the living room fire so if we want to heat the house that has to be lit, which is a nightmare in the Summer as it’s too hot for a fire but living in an old farm house it gets very damp and cold with no heating overnight. Just started lighting it the last few evenings now it’s started to drop chilly, hopefully be getting a multifuel boiler/cooker fitted over the winter which will be better as it can be kept going easier and should mean the house is still warm in a morning!

I’ve got a barely used one you can have for £50 posted if you want to give it a whirl?
Put it on my CX bike but then switched to drop bars which the lever wouldn’t fit on so it came off.

Another vote for Class of Nuke’em High and Hobo with a Shotgun, also Turbo Kid, Razorback, The Guyver (with Mark Hamill), Buck Rogers (not technically a b movie but still pretty shocking).

Been told how best to keep my kids safe this morning though it’s been coming a while!
Riding to school, rather than taking the kids (5 and 8 ) on a narrow pavement next to a really busy road we take a small shortcut down a wide one way street (pavements on both sides and about 100m long). Every day an old guy in a people carrier shakes his head at us and this morning he stopped next to me to tell me that what we were doing was illegal. I’m not stupid but I also know I’d rather risk them riding the 10m of road without a pavement in the wrong direction where they can be clearly seen by incoming cars than risk getting wiped out by a wagon on the other road.
Needless to say this has only made me want to piss him off even more.

Normal swings, alternating single arm swings, swing snatches with the 24 and clean and jerk (called long cycle) with the pair of 20’s. You might want something a bit lighter to warm up with before snatching the 24 up though (I have onr myself so speak from experience).
Then just usual shoulder press, behind head tricep press, bicep curls. All depends on what day it is for you but I find a proper session of snatches and cleans pretty much wipes you out.

EDIT: If you really want to test yourself try some of the proper girevoy sport events, 10 minutes to perform as many clean and jerks with 2 bells or snatches with one as you can though with the snatch you can’t put it down once you’ve started and can only change hands once.
