To be honest I quite like the look of that Roadrat, steel sounds good to me for a tiny bit more comfort and I can get one from 18 bikes in Hope which is only 5 mins away. Like I said it works out for a £900 bike to cost me just under £650, the only thing holding me back is would something like this be any good if I decided to get a few road rides in (not really my thing but it’d nice to know I have the option).

Gonna be a cycle to work thing so £900 is going to end up more like £650 which makes it a bit more appealing, that Cotic is quite sexy though!

This just sounds like someone who wants to be a pain in the arse for no particular reason. If the bull in the field is in line with the rules regarding what livestock can be kept where there is a PROW then what is the problem? The farmer has put up a warning about said bull for members of the public who might be wary of large farm animals and obviously made a vague attempt to be humerous about it.
There is no law stating they have to provide a sign.

Only in the vaguest possible sense. He’s not really said anything useful. He needs to say either “Keep out this bull is dangerous”

If the bull was dangerous then it would be illegal to keep it in a field with a public right of way so it’s pretty simple really.
It’s like people who have dogs in their yards, they might not be dangerous or prone to biting but visitors might just have a phobia of them so it’s nice to pre warn them.

There’s nothing wrong with putting a bull in a field with a ROW through (I live on a farm) in the correct circumstances. All recognised dairy breed bulls are not allowed in field with a public right of way at any time and beef bulls are banned unless they’re accompanied by other cows or heifers.
I think the fact the farmer has put a sign up is a good thing, though just because it’s a bull it doesn’t mean it will give chase. I’d say young heifers and cows that have recently calved are potentially more dangerous to the public, I’ve had more than a few give chase when I’ve been rounding them to come in for milking!

It’s only a 5 minute job to put it back in so you may as well do it rather than risk killing your bearings.

3 things that really help with DOMS, protein, BCAA’s and an ice cold shower on the parts you’ve been working. When I get home from the gym I have a shower then switch off the heat and just spray whichever muscles I’ve been working for a few minutes, I find this really helps.

I agree with the Cree, I got one of the 3x ones the other day for £15 for commuting to work which is pretty much all unlit roads. Heard you can pick up a different lense for about £4 as well to improve the light dispersal.
Here it is in a pitch black farm shed

As above, Myprotein and I use unflavoured. 1 scoop protein, 2 scoops powdered porridge oats with 300ml water/skimmed milk mixture and it tastes superb. The unflavoured protein just tastes like creamy milk, I can’t handle the sweetness of the flavoured versions!

If you’ve not ordered from myprotein before use referral code MP24976472 and you should get a discount (10%?) on your first order (or if you have just sign up with a new email address)

Go 1×10 and stick with 32 up front and 11-36 at the rear. You really don’t need a dinnerplate on the back with a 32t sprocket unless your planning on climbing everest!

I assume the track that’s blocked is the one you can get to when you go over Disley tops?
I’d be happy to visit if it wasn’t so obscenely expensive!

I thought living in the High Peak I’d need a big rear sprocket on my SC but to be honest the 36t on my XT cassette is more than enough, so much so that I’ve not really used it at all so I think bigger would be a waste. I have only got a 32t up front though so that might make the difference, if you’ve got a 34t it might be worth it though I’d probably say 40t is enough.

Aye Jacks pretty big on the world circuit, he’s only 18 as well. Won the last round of the UCI World Cup in France http://www.uci.ch/trials/news/article/uci-trials-world-cup-jack-carthy-leads-the-men-elite-inch-series-after-first-victory-the-season/.

I’ve got a 32t and it’s been brilliant. Would definitely recommend!

Also sent them a message regarding expander rings and apparently it’s in the works.

Steve the anodiser any day of the week. His work is the best that I’ve had done and I’ve used a few different people, always a fast turnaround as well no matter what I’ve sent.

Yeah I literally had no idea where to route the front hose, first bike with a seat I’ve had in about 15 years! Like I said, forks are on as that’s what I had, will be swapping for something more suitable as soon as I can afford to.
As for the background, I live on a farm and that’s one of the barn doors. Was blazing sunshine so I needed to find some shade to take pics in!

I got some fake Fox racing kit last year from a seller on ebay who had everything removed shortly after for it being fake. It’s really decent quality, probably made in the same factories as the original gear anyhow, and I’d definitely recommend picking a set up. Will try and see if I can go that far back in my history to get the seller if they’re still trading.

I used to leave bike carriers on the roof. They got nicked. I do leave the Wingbars on as they don’t seem to make any extra wind noise except below 5deg c for some reason.

I’m going to drill through my racks and bolt them directly to the aero bars for a bit of added protection. That should keep them from going missing!

I’ve got his World Tour Of Australia on DVD, absolutely love watching it! Like everyone said he’s getting on now and isn’t well, same as Terry Pratchett with his Discworld novels.

Don’t buy it all brand new, I’m doing a fresh build for myself and have decided on 1×10 and the only new parts I bought were the N/W and the chain, total spend with Zee shifter and XT block and clutch mech was £100

Go for some foams but wrap one or two layers of electrical tape around the bars before you fit them, that’s always worked for me in the past!

Another vote for roofbox.co.uk, I went for some aluminium Cruz aero bars and a pair of 532’s and I think it came to £180 delivered.
The bars are great quality and I’m not fussed the keys for the racks and the bars are different as I leave them on all the time as I use the racks most days.
