Very light trail duties, probably something cyclocrossish but without the drop bars.
She’s 5’8″ (I think) and colour probably doesn’t matter too much.

Mine have been replaced I just need to go and pick it up tomorrow. As for the tyres I think the two reviews are two different types, one is the folding version and the other the standard. I’m sure it was the folding version that was horrendous for getting flats.

Pacenti SL25, I’m getting a set built on some Hope hubs come next payday!

Yup, I’ve got some Pro 2’s to go on soon along with a Hope headset, just need to pick some suitable rims and that’ll knock a few grams back off!

Mines going in for the swap on Monday. Coming from a trials background where snapped forks are a common occurrence I’ll gladly take the extra weight!

All arrived today and fitted, well impressed with the SJSC panniers and theyre the perfect size. Just have to see how much of a difference they make in the morning!

You can pick up some MG1 copies on eBay for next to nothing which are identical (some even come packaged in Wellgo boxes), I’d go for some of them. Will try and find a link!

Have you tried making your own Muckynutz from a plastic A4 folder? I made one for my Reba’s (though they are 2006 I think so maybe different) which fits fine.

Ordered the Tortec Ultralite and the SJS bags after reading a lot of good reviews. Also they were only a tenner for the bags so it’s not the end of the world if they turn out to be no good!

All it’s for really is to carry two A5 folders which are full of small booklets. I’m a relief railway signaller (as of this week) and cover a number of boxes but have to have my rulebooks with me at all times which writes off riding to work as they fill my rucksack so I figured this was the most sensible solution to allow me to keep cycling to work. Before I just kept them in my locker but now as I don’t have one I’m scuppered!

I’ve got a 2015 10 and love it to bits. Bought it for commuting to work and got mudguards fitted along with some flat bars and platform pedals and currently it’s my goto bike. Never ever really liked road bikes but this is something else, would definitely recommend one!

I’ll chip in about mine, been using it solely for riding to work and going to the gym so it’s been 100% tarmac so far but I absolutely love it. I’ve never liked riding road bikes before, hence the flat bars and pedals, but I really enjoy this which is good as getting up at 05:10am to ride in isn’t easy!
Just had a set of full mudguards fitted the other day, the bike shop though they might be a bit tight with the Conti tyres but there’s loads of room, as for the tyres though they’re a bit sketchy in the wet. Was riding home the other day and stood up to power off a roundabout and the front end slid out about 12″ but luckily I managed to stay on! The only thing I dislike so far is the brakes, they’re awful and just don’t seem to slow you down very well at all so I’m probably going to swap either for some BB7’s or some normal MTB hydros.

As for the geo I’m 6’3″ with a long body and I’ve got a 58cm which is perfect even with losing a few inches at the front with the bars.

Genesis Croix de Fer 10 for commuting
2006 Santa Cruz Heckler for gathering dust
Rockman Liberte 26″ trials bike for hoppy hoppy stuff
And got a friend knocking up a steel frame to build up a 20″ trials bike.

Love my Altura Mayhem jacket, wore it on the commute to work yesterday when it absolutely binned it down and did the job perfectly. Seems to be warm when it’s really nippy out but lightweight and cool enough for warmer weather thanks to the underarm vents.

Get a box from a local bike shop, take off the wheels, pedals and handlebars and get the whole thing condensed as small as possible then get a quote off http://www.parcel2go.com and http://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk. I’ve posted full bikes in the past for anything between £15-20.

Flat bars and flat pedals, full on anti roadie! Genesis are releasing their own Croix de Fer carbon forks over Christmas so they might be worth a look. As for wheels I’d be keen to hear what kind of rims to look at as I’ve got a pair of Pro 2’s ready to build into something!

We stayed at an eco cottage on Anglesey a few years back that was solely heated by underfloor heating under laminate flooring. Being an eco cottage the actual central heating was powered by solar panels so I can’t imagine the costs would be too great, was amazing though when you woke up on a chilly morning!

Your best bet is to have a look on unicycle.uk.com or give them a ring. Really friendly bunch that will be glad to help out no end and can recommend the best size depending on how big your son is. I’ve had a few unis, 19″ trials, 24″ muni (mountain uni) and a 29″ muni and have to admit I loved riding. Would happily buy another if I could justify it but I struggle to use the bikes I currently have!

Sounds like you need to lock the abus up to their bike as well until they reveal all!
Are you positive you locked it up to theirs or are you just going off what the note said? I think something like that would need clarifying so you could pass the info back to the manufacturer.

Had my eye on either a set of Wahl Balding clippers (cut shorter than normal hair clippers, I think they come with a guard that sets them at what normal clippers are without!) and a Headblade ATX for the shiny shiny look as it’s supposed to make it a piece of piss but can’t for the life of me decide which one. Probably be better with the actual clippers as I know when I’m working 6-6 nights I really cannot be arsed to have a shower most of the time!

That bike you linked to up there is mine, absolutely love it with flats. The only thing that was done to accomodate was to flip the stem and it works perfectly as there was a worry it may be too short (and I have quite a long upper body). I’m actually planning myself to swap the brakes over to my 4 pot XT’s, definitely recommend!

I got the same bike a few weeks back, went down a different route with the setup though as I hate drop bars! Loving it so far and I’ve never been one for skinny wheels, the only things I’m still to do are mudguards as it’s a commuter for work, bottle cage and a new saddle as compared to the Superstar Peak on my SC this one is stupidly flat and hard!

Kings Quest were pretty good. I completed Steel Sky on my iphone I think a few years ago as well as Broken Sword 1+2. All the monkey island games have been remade for Playstation though you can play with the original graphics and interface. They also made a new game spread across a few episodes so if you have access to a PS3 or 4 it’s worth checking them out.

Always absolutely LOVED day of the tentacle as well!

I’d be tempted to get in touch with Frog. They’re a British company who only deal in kids bikes and I’m sure they’d be interested to hear an idea like this.

There’ll be some high and mighty roger red socks somewhere in the DCC that was probably “nearly killed” by a cyclist one day and is out to get the lot of us. The whole council is corrupt anyway, there’s no use trying to put up an argument as it’ll fall on deaf ears.
Pretty sure if they did reply it’d involve making the routes more suitable for walkers and tourists, they’re blind to the idea that natural erosion takes place around here when there’s cyclists and off roaders who they can put the blame on.

I can’t quite grasp how they complain about bikers/motorbikers/4x4s tearing up the trails and destroying them yet resurfacing the lot so they look nothing like an actual trail is ok??

To be fair the weather here has been pretty good the last month or so and we’re still getting 16/17° most days so I can’t imagine the trails will be too bad

If you want a good quality, comfortable and cheap pair of jeans then I’d recommend finding your nearest GAP Outlet store. They don’t have the same narrow/skinny/shitey things like in the normal store they just have a nice selection of slim/bootcut/loose fit jeans and can usually be picked up for around £20. Mine tend to last the best part of a year and that’s wearing them most days and they are so comfy (currently sitting at work in a pair of premium loose fit) and they do absolutely loads of sizes.

I usually struggle for jeans as I hate tight fitting ones and my thighs are pretty big, the GAP Outlet loose fit are the only pair of jeans I have managed to find for years that actually are a loose fit and are really soft whereas I find Next jeans like cardboard everytime you put them on and nowhere near a loose fit!

Also if you sign up to their emails they have sales and offers pretty much every month giving you more money off, snap up some bargains!

Pro 2 Evo either in trials guise or normal. Don’t think you’d actually need a trials though as internally they’re both the same.

Bionic B5 mod trials bike, was way too short for me and almost killed my back in an instant (had back trouble ever since).

Bare in mind the pull ups you describe are mostly down to back strength, if you want to build the amount you can do then set a limit of say 20 or 30 pullups and try for them when you’re in the gym no matter how many sets it takes. If you manage 8 first attempt then 6 then 4 then 2 to make the magic number then as the time goes by it’ll get easier and you can up the target.

ISIS is the standard in biketrials, we tend to be quite a few years behind the rest of cycling but that’s not to say they don’t do the job extremely well and we put a hell of a lot of stress on them. I’d recommend having a look on tartybikes.co.uk for an ISIS BB but I think they’d all probably be too long as most are 128mm.

EDIT: Just read a few reviews for the Roadrat and it’s totally won me over, just need to decide whether I want to run gears or an Alfine…
