I can see why you might want to change your route etc, but I really can't see how the driver can realistically "retaliate" without some kind of legal retribution.

You have his number, you have documented complaints to the company he represents.

I know many STW users have far more experience of this kind of thing than me, but I can't see it escalating.

I agree with Fullstop & Muddydwarf.

Bike Radar has great info and articles when they get them right.

    I agree with zaskar!

I do like dipping into BikeRadar for reviews etc and do like the content.

The forum there is very "chopped-up" and so i find the simple set-up here far more palatable

    IMHO of course : )

I have the same one as Coleman & pendlechris.

They are often re-branded and I got mine for about £50-55 from Wiggle or CRC.

Used it for many builds over the years, and it is very very sturdy.

    Ability to fold-up is a big thumbs-up.

The Pro2 hubs use strips of metal for the spring mechanisms, as opposed to the coil-spring found in XCs/Bulbs etc.

I believe that the Pro2s have more points of engagement inside, so will certainly click more often.

Again – I have to agree with the common point about the amount/viscosity of grease being used in the hub internals being the greatest determining factor.

    I love clicky hubs!!!

    Same here.

    Agree with Showerman though:

I always thought that up to the point of sale they can change the price or withdraw the product BUT once the money was taken then a legal contract was formed and they had to supply it at that price.

    Hmmm… Might investigate that…

    Anyone else have similar thoughts?

    Hey,

I run an E13 DRS, with the BB mounting plate.

Run it on a 456 and 5-Spot without any probs.

They tend to go for about £50 on the classifieds/Ebay.

Highly recommended, and with lots of clear fitting info etc on the E13 website.

    Can't big them up enough

    Hope that helps!

Ovarian cysts can cause curiously "pregnant-like" symptoms – Morning sickness, late/missed periods etc etc.

Well worth looking at that too – easy to sort, but not very nice if a cyst gets missed/ignored.

I've got the Camo Gore Cosmo Plus…

Very nice jacket, but sometimes wish it had a "dropped-tail" like other biking jackets.

Evans stock it, and will do price matches with any online dealer (Not Ebay).

I've used them, as have work-mates.

2wks is usual delivery time – I guess yours has been compounded by postal problems.

They really are a straightforward company to deal with IMO.

Office Enterprise for £35 (RRP around £450) bargain.

For car stuff halfords etc will be good – they have a good range with overlapping torques.

For bike stuff I bought the Ice toolz (5 – 25Nm) one from Evans, using Price matching.

£30 – price matched to these guys:

    http://www.petracycles.co.uk/product_info.php?language=en&currency=GBP&products_id=15782&source=googlepbs

Used it to strip and rebuild the pivots on my 5-Spot and its fine and dandy.

It accepts 1/2" and 1/4" sockets and if you've got a socket small enough you can use hex bits in it too!

Up to 2005 they used the patented Horst Link (HL) same as Spescialized FSR etc

2006 onwards the pivot got moved from chainstay to seatstay to circumvent expensive HL license fees – TNT link. Effectively the same as HL but with diferent pivot placement.

    ***TNT INFO HERE***

2009 onwards are DW link. Total resdesign.

Smooth as butter, cosmetic marks from removal, but far from damaged/chewed up.

@ GW, Yeah spoke to Tim today and explained about the hardware, as its included in the service price.

    Think we'll work something out.

It's going in the post to them tomorrow, so fingers crossed!

I've run a 2nd hand set of hardcoat slick shifts for a few years now on my commuter.

Prob gets cleaned a once/twice a year when fettling, and still working fine n dandy – not really comparable to gritty/muddy MTB scenarios but I think they've been superb.

I guess the shift efficiency/feel will depend on the kinda mud/dirt/crap/abuse that is particular to your riding location.

    My tuppence worth.
