I use Parker International for very good Kryptonite prices, and get Evans to price match.

I'm a big fan of the Hope XCs and have built a couple of sets of wheels with them, after getting them for around £30 each on ebay.

Not the most flattering pic – and yet to be used in anger.

    Old Man Mountain racks/Ortlieb panniers.

Old skool Ti-Inbred, RC31s, 700c Schwalbe Marathons, Hope Minis, Easton carbon bars n seatpost to take the sting out.

No mudguards, but love the closely fitted ones on hybrids/roadbikes.

I ran cxp33s on deore, and then moved to Open Pros on Hope XCs.

Well worth getting the parts on ebay, spokes on CRC and getting them built at LBS.

Could very easily get a superduper bargain

I run old RC31s – Can grab em for about £80 if you trawl ebay etc.

700c tyres, 160mm Hopes and 14st of unskilled rider.

    Going strong after several years.

Longtime Mac user/multiple home network setter-upper…

Never seen the need for Mac specific router esp after looking at the price-tag.

    I've used Belkin/Netgear and more recently O2's re-badged (Thomson Speedtouch TG585v7) hardware.

All have performed flawlessly, with mixed PC/Mac users and mixed B/band providers.

Backup via an ethernet equipped external drive is very straightforward.

I ummed and aaahed over gloss/matt etc and after seeing samples and chatting about cosmetic durability etc I went for the finish in the pics above.

Not a totally "dead" matt finish, but it should keep it's finish for longer than a full gloss.

    I upgraded from a (2.5” SATA HDD) 60Gb to a 320Gb one.

    Steel – £49
    Al – £54
    Lacquer – Add £15

    Maybe the kit is discontinued.

    Hi Meiriadog42,

I've got a black switch blade, storage bag, spare pads, etc etc

Never used as a full-face, and only used on a dozen commutes – certainly never damaged!

    Wanna buy it?

    I have a PS3 (2nd-hand 60Gb model, so I could play PS1 & PS2 games, and use the extra USB sockets)

I had it hooked-up with composite/Scart to a 32" SD TV at my old house, and now run it with a 32" 1080 HD Toshiba Regza.

When setting up the PS3 it will detect screen resolution and adjust accordingly but the HD really makes the PS3 gorgeous – text is easier to read and the games look how they were meant to, and obviously takes advantage of the BluRay feature.

In terms of future subscriptions etc for the PS3 gaming network – they will be coming.

ODI Ruffian – slim and super tacky/grippy!

Does mean they wear-out but I just loosen the lock-ons and rotate to a "fresh" patch : )

ODI Rogues on the commuter – much thicker grips, but last for donkeys' years!
