Why would your weight have anything to do with it.
Set the correct pressure and it will be fine whatever you ride.
I sold my 07 heckler to buy an Epic as its a quicker all round bike.
I love it as I’m a whole lot quicker climbing and not really a lot slower on descents.
I’ve had major issues with shocks blowing but that seems to have been resolved now.
Get an Epic – You’ll love it.
For what its worth I’m 10st 4 ride my Epic a lot.

i have no idea what my last shock was.
I was told it is the latest shock with the proper seal which had been stripped and inspected especially before sending it to me.
Still blew in no time at all going round the MBR at Coed y Brenin.
I’m not going to accept another shock if this new one goes.

I’m off to my LBS in the morning to have shock no 6 fitted.
The last one was the new and improved guaranteed never to fail version.
It lasted 3 hours.

I’m on my 6th Epic shock since I bought the bike on the 30th december 2008.

I bought one in Dec 08.
I’m currently on my 6th shock on warranty from specialized.
I love the bike when it works but the rear shock is terrible.
I am waiting on a new shock which Specialized have promised is better.
We’ll see this weekend.

My mate has one and absolutely flies on it.
He loves it.
It rockets up the climbs and thunders down the hill.
If i was looking for a new bike it would be one of them.

You didn’t think of taking it back there and then rather than try to ruin their business on a forum which they will never see and therefore not have the right to defend themselves,
I’ve always had great food there.
If I had a pre ride donner I’d want to hurl on he first climb.

Try the scrap yard in Llandudno junction.
They’re very good, cheap and you get a little warranty.
You’ll get the mileage of the car they took it off.

I’ve just come back from riding both loops.
There’s a lot of ice but as long as you ride knowing this its ok.
Had to get off and walk about 6 times in total which isn’t too bad.

I’ve just been round the mbr.
Its very dry but a lot of ice.
Watch out for the pitched stream crossings as there’s a load of ice on the exits.
Good fun though.
There’s a few ice patches on the fire roads as well which could easily catch you out.
I loved it as the views are great in this weather.
