  • Like politicians, the police recruits will be full of spunk and a great outlook to their future in policing. Over time, seeing the state of society which they are paid to serve and dealing daily with the lowest forms of human life it’s natural to start to have a them and us mentality – natural

Difference between politicians and police – the police work for their pay with sweat, politicians eat small children

Shouldn’t have posted ^ as the thread is now petering out

    Sorry

Nothing to do with the content but I have little time for the police. My brother and cousin (his dad is now retired from the force after 35 years) and my father in the armed forces for 40 years

Just my personal experiance but if you listen to these when they are chatting away all I can hear is apathy. Other experiences with police was pretty much what was shown on those recently aired documentaries. I’m sure MOST are wonderful, but the ones I know are like doormen with a badge, it’s human nature I think

I work in banking so I’m sure many people have unfounded opinions of me & my work colleagues. I have never been arrested for anything at all so not speaking as a perp, just a member of the public

check the endfloat / preload. It would appear that putting too much side load on these bearings is one reason for premature fails

In noob language please Gerry, don’t quite understand. It’s the none driver side that’s gone.

Thanks Timmys, great help. Not found anything on here but will check owners club

Mmannerr – to be fair it’s been ridden in some real gritty conditions too many times

I reckon I’ll take it to my lbs and pay for the labour (thanks Schwiez just ordered that)

^ lol see what I mean

The women at sherwood pines cafe, don’t mind paying a bit more for the convenience but when I give my £tenner to a woman who looks like she’s been licking piss of a nettle. So miserable

If ^ is true then shame on all you ‘smooth’ roadies

Lol true true … But I want one now

If you turn up the contrast and hold at 0.39 I’m sure I can see a camels toe

    I could

The sale amount would be around £85 …. Unless of course I bought that torque set I really don’t need but always wanted 😉

+1 etymotic research. Have the hf3’s at the mo (upraded from hf2) and once in can hear nothing other than the music

He said he went into another bike shop and was given advice on the specialized and whyte

    Bump ………….. Lol

    Yeah sorry …. All done

I’ve just finished episode 13 in season 2 and want … No NEED to know what’s happens when they visit (SPOILER REMOVED)

I enjoyed it so much I downloaded the electronic book on the iPhone through comicxology and it’s pretty cool. It presents it frame by frame and zooms in for added effect. Found a link but it’s not exact

Any idea when it’ll be released on iTunes? The yanks have had access to it for some while now

It gets better and better with every episode

If there’s one thing I’m good at is helping people spend their money

    Lol

Everyone’s iTunes is working just fine. Shame no instructions for op

Put all of your media into the shared folder – ta-da

I did exactly what you ask! You’ve posted this twice but we have no idea what bike and terrain you find yourself on? Also what’s wrong with the float r?

In a nutshell yes it’s worth it but this advice is based on the small amount of info you’ve provided.

I upgraded from float r to rp23 kashima and have never looked back. Love it and I bet you would. Let us know more info to offer more help

    Wet

    good luck btw

A little late but just tested the 2012 gt zaskar carbon 9r expert. First 29er tried and loved it. Hate to agree with all the 29inch lovers but i really did enjoy it. Gonna put a deposit down now as only 2 left with suppliers

Dunno but it’s deffo called sshockwave. Bit like the t-shirt.

ADIS – don’t die of dyslexia

It’s actually spelt sshockwave (to help you find it) and it’s Alex (the son of the owner). I work in ruddington and would for sure take my bike there. A bit far if works centre of notts

Bunneys bikes have done 2 hour jobs that evans have quoted a week before. Matt who owns it has been nothing but great to me so I’d say there

Oh thanks mate, I was born and raised in Maltby! 90% good, 10% bad in my opinion but what town doesn’t have its collection of bike thieving swines these days. In regards to spreading the word, thanks for your help we appreciate it.

Different shades of dodgy-ness. These peeps I know wouldn’t steal it but mix in circles that may well hear about it. Yeah Maltby has some wonderful people there. If there is anymore info you can share then pm me such as a discription, accent or any clues he may have slipped out in error. I know it’s a long shot. We all would love you guys to get the bike back asap

Ps a good friend of mine had 3 bikes stolen, one of which was less than a week old. He called me nearly in tears and said he was going to pay some hard but he knew £250 to get them back. I didn’t think more of it till a few hours later and he got them back. This guy put the word out he was looking for a bike and this scumbag contacted him and went to view. When he got there called my mate who rushed down and confirmed they were his. All bikes were given back and a slap or three was distributed. This was in Nottingham and I thought when I bike was nicked that was it. The 3 was stil locked together and scratched to shit but damn, so pleased i was wrong

I’m in Rotherham (maltby) this weekend. I also know one or two shady characters there. I’ll have a word to keep an ear twitching

Gutted for the shop and staff. I hate the oxygen thieves that make a living on us

It should be written on the actual shock itself

“My trail centre’s too cynical/boring/predictable” reproach is getting more common.

I’ve said it before but we all buy bikes we want to ride rather than should ride. We see on the road daily, 4×4’s on the school run. Sports cars traveling at 80mph rather than their 130mph sweet spot.

Same with bikes. I have 5 MTB mates, 3 of which have very expensive bikes … 160mm travel+ built for all mountain and all they do is bitch how easy it all is. Well i say lets be honest with ourselves and admit we could loose 10mm travel? downgrade to a HT? Anything to make the whole thing more exciting?

I bet a common theme here is like me, buy HT, then FS, then back to HT.

Anyway i’m drunk so ignore me

    Crikey +1

Had all models and they drop gps signal constantly. As soon as your off road with a smattering of trees then it’s awful. IMO of course

I have a test run on that exact model tomorrow. First 29′ I’ll have ridden on and super excited. Just one more sleep & I’ll let you know.

I’ve ditched my park tool ones as they aren’t reliable. I’d rather use old school as they work.

Laid back seat post, longer cranks and longer stem. I’m in a similar position. My bike fits apart from my super long legs (if I was a woman, I’d be a supermodel) and I believe the best way forward would be to experiment with all the above. Just not cheap to find test crank arms

Mine is a new rp23/kashima and it’s set at 225 boost valve. I’m about 11half stone of which mojo asked my weight and it’s bloody brilliant. Id say if you weight more then 175 is too soft. …. But I’m using common sense, I’m prolly wrong

+1 for boards of Canada and ninja tunes

This. Cant understand why you’d want to ride off road and listen to music. If you need music to relax or stimulate you whilst riding your’e doing it wrong.

Why? Who is anyone tell me anyone else they are doing things wrong if they listen to music off road?

I have a similar story. Where do you live?

I’ve not paid for mine for 3 months now. They keep giving me dates and nothing happens. I often drop below 1meg and still they have sales stalls out touting for more business

Confused? At 3.25ish the older lucra clad timid and respectful guy goes the wrong and our intrepid hero carries on the correct trail. Then if my confrontational magic he reappears in front of him again?

Anyway for all those who don’t like cycling, only fighting then this is the link straight to the Pokemon battle

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHX33Psbt20&feature=youtube_gdata_player

This sort of thing should be a discipline on the Olympics. A ride then a battle. I’d watch it
