The description states its no their bike yet the reply states its their frame no

Only 1 hour left for £860

I sent him a message asking for the frame no

He just replied with “what do you want that for?”

“to make sure it’s not nicked. If it’s legit then it’s just a frame no” was my reply

    So far no response

    Oh sorry wrong thread!

Point one podium are IMO the best pedals bar none. Prolly pick em up about £135 if your very lucky. Check them out cos you won’t regret it

    Biketart

I can’t find anything on the net regarding a lost Santa cruz. One of my mates had his Marin and other had a cube nicked but not a heckler. I watched a YouTube clip about 6 guys in America and they went to a blokes house who they had heard had nicked a bike and returned it to its rightful owner. Trouble is we don’t know who’s it is and this isn’t America

That seller is close to me. Can we do something about it (how naive I am). He’s got 0% feedback and looks as hot as Kelly brooks knickers

Yeah great stuff. Shown my mate who hates cycling and dogs. Result = watched it twice with a big smile

It’s a full sus. Had a pretty good smash not too long ago and shaved quite a bit of the rear cable housing off near the cassette. I’ve taped it up as the cable threads was starting to look it needed some tlc. I’m trying to remember if this used to happen pre crash? Hmmm

Mine is exactly the same after I removed mine

I’m thinking it’s cos we haven’t use the correct tool?

Dry finishing line always gets me to the finishing line

Oddly I never applied bike tape tape when the bike came new ….. But covered the thing in it months later after it was chipped and scratched to shit!!

    One word …. WOW

    A rather poignant post sir

There’s no problem but what your doing is buying and using (which is depreciating) now and payin for it later. 0% is great but lets not loose sight it’s HP and a form of credit.

Cycle to work scheme’s use credit also but a very fair one at that

I genuinely congratulate all those none debtors and those who mange them sensibly
An emotive subject this – fun

I’m genuinely shocked over the mature and sensible attitude of most posters.

I thought we all had some debt as the economy is in this position due to over extending ourselves financially as a western world economy. 2 generations ago debt was frowned upon. Now days we receive a sublimal message to consume “it makes you happy” … We all know it doesn’t of course. I watched a great documentry called the history of self. It was commissioned by Sigmund Freuds nephew after the second world war

I can’t speak about wheels but I bought my lapierre from there and the mechanics are a great bunch who I have confidence in.

    They get my vote

    I’m welling up 😉

    “does cycle2work scheme count?”

I’d say yeah! Sure as hell does

    Good to hear mate

I’m not a banker …. Quite the opposite. I clear up after the bankers. I’m a regional manager of a debt recovery agency with a studio engineering side hobby (which brings in zip nowdays)

All my cash seems to disapear into cyberspace. My payslip says one thing, my bank balance on the morning of payday says another.

Had the £1700 debt for about 8-9 months now so I’m paying a fair bit of interest – not cool but that’s the reason for my post.

    Ps no car loan. Company

    Lol

I earn a decent quarterly bonus, performance related which doubles my wage. I should pay it off next bonus but generally let it sit on my credit card.  I’ve not bought anything bike related for some time but I find it’s always something else the family need more than getting around to paying the card off – bad money sense I know – just been honest

My ‘in the ear’ headphones cost about £145 and they are far superior than anything I’ve used at the £300 price point. Being a sound engineer I get to use all sorts so I’ve got a little experience with them

Etymotic research. Google them, pretty cool

    lol good answer

    what’s it weight in at?

I’ve got some gore xenon gloves and my brake finger gets ice cold. Needs some improvement for an rrp £45

Park tool make excellent levers. Strong but soft …. A little like Andrex

The oil is probably just a bending in thing – or so I thought but combine that with the hissing noise? That’s not right! I’d get it back to the shop first opportunity

Get plenty of washing up liquid on the beads. Get a strap to wrap around the middle of the tyre to push the beads out into the rim. Attach the track pump and it’ll be up in about 30 seconds

All this has already been said. Do this and you’ll never have a problem. Good luck

The above two posts are spot on

Lol I agree it’s pretty ugly – bet it rides beautifully though

I have bought second hand before and I find it’s a very small minority that’s buys who knows what they are talking about. Very different from brand new bikes. Just my take

    Good luck

I’ll speak to my lbs tomorrow they aren’t known for giving freebies despite my relationship with them. I can see a line from Oliver … Pls sir can I have some more (free chain links).

Just bought kashima coated rp23 and can’t even afford a friggin chain till payday. Sad

I believe chain broke because the conditions i was riding in was atrocious, very gritty and muddy. The gears were grinding as I hadn’t set them up properly which meant i couldn’t use the full 27 …. Prolly limited to about 10 gears which meant attacking the terrain in the wrong gear. Possibly the drive train is in need of some tlc.

Yeah I could have ridden single speed but was so pissed off I didn’t even think about that (noob). Last day of my annual leave from work and so wanted to go out in the bike tomorrow, now gutted and due to Xmas I’m totally skint which means buying things is not likely to happen. Just sold my zaskar too

    Thanks for the replys guys

Re-read my post and it looks like I’m on the scrounge. I meant going to my lbs and scrounging from them

    Too kind guys

Nottingham (well Mansfield but try to keep that bit quiet lol)

Jes – your now making this up. Forget it

I ran tubes which are heavier which is EXACTLY my point

    Lol

Well they feel more agile and lighter?

Ust don’t need sealant. Some use for peace of mind. I use the thought that if it’s good enough for motorcycles it’s good enough for me

Lots of negativity on here regarding ust (not tubeless). Wonder how many doubters actually run ust’s?

Ust rims and tyres are heavier than tubeless. Standard tyres with tubes are heavier still. That’s what I meant by heavier

As for ust filling holes – nothing does but the magic of air pressure in the tyre. Like Dynamo – magic

I accept ust rims and tyres are heavier due to their double sidewall and most I’m reading was exactly my opinion until my newest bike came with stock ust I was blown away. I’ve lost very little pressure (don’t want to say none as some science buff will probably shoot me down)

I also carry an innertube in case of a puncture as don’t want to be messing about with that nonsense on the streets of Nottingham.

Yes ust are heavier but require no sealant
Tubeless are lighter but DO require sealant which is both messy and costly (and builds up in the tyre negating the extra weight loss) – I’m trying to be biased but ant help myself – sorry
Tubes are familiar, friendly and easy

Er …. Guess the debate goes on

We can all debate over the op but talking from my experiences (that’s what we can all do with any degree of accuracy) is sealant isn’t needed in a ust. A timebomb? So that means all ust must use sealant? Thats a big fat resounding no.I do cannock chase, notts, peak district and Yorkshire and yes no punctures apart from a tear in the sidewall – a tyre boot saved me, not sealant

The weight difference is noticeable cos I’ve ridden bikes with tubes in before – think we all have haven’t we?

I’ve noticed the odd thorn sticking out (small) and once remover just seals itself – rubber on rubber – that could be a fetish site
