I can’t see anyway you can force him to hand the bike over.
I would be inclined to tell ebay I paid cash and am happy with
the item, that will cost him 43 quid.

I have just bought Phoenix, got to get a transmitter now.
Above it said a Spektrum plugs straight in, don’t they all plug in?

I had visions of buying an SE5a kit and going into the field next door, then I realised I would probably break it pretty quick.

Are you offering shipping on the item?
If you haven’t put in freeshipping or put a shipping price I guess they won’t offer gsp.

shoudln’t have any trouble finding the drop off shop.

I do fancy a radio controlled glider but is it just a case of chucking it off Box Hill or do you need one with a motor to get it up to height?

yep more or less, though you would be better off on Colley hill.
I built loads of balsa+paper planes but never had an easy to start motor, my brother had good kit. But once he tried a glider that was it he didn’t bother with a motor again. If I remember rightly he used to chuck them off the hill and fly around in a large circle and in no time he had lift and it was going up, soon it was just a dot in the sky.

I was really lucky I was the only one who liked Christmas cake in my house.
My nan and mum made the cakes and puddings early in the year, constantly feeding them. It’s always disappointing when someone else gives me some Christmas cake.

You have got my mouth watering. I have just had a look and it’s 48 days to cake day.

I watched all the Hammer films when I was a kid and generally liked them, but since then horror films bore me. I can rarely stay interested in them. Except Wolf Creek and Switchblade Romance.

Nope but I do remember buying bags of monkey nuts that cost
    sixpence.

The day the money changed I went in to the bike shop
in Guildford for something and they gave me a pub ashtray full of
threpenny bit’s and tanners! They said something like “they are no use
any more”. I went straight to the sweetie shop and bought loads of
    sweets.

I hadn’t been to a dentist for years and I needed to go, after several years of
constant pain. I found an NHS dentist. There is a flat rate for a course of
treatment and it was either 25quid or 48quid.

They really liked stringing the treatment out, I had 4 teeth that needed
pulling, she had me in for xrays then another appointment to discuss options.
I think I had about 8 appointments. The dentist told me if there was anything
that was non NHS work I could pay for that privately.

I thought it was going to be a problem finding a dentist, I guess I was lucky
about the third or fourth dentists I called was OK with NHS patients.

In the nineties and noughties I had various Honda trailies I used to buy for a few hundred quid

I wasn’t into jap bikes and used to turned down XT500s for a few hundred quid quiet a few times. Then a mate started buying cheap jap off road bikes and a few months ago I found myself bikeless and thought I would get a cheap bike, maybe a dr650. I had a look and the cheapest I saw was a very rough one for 1500, well I thought a 350 will do, nope not a lot cheaper.

When I see an advert for something I want my first question is often ‘is it still for sale’
And as I am looking at ads from all over the country my respose if it’s still for sale would probably be ‘will you post it. is paypal ok’.

As far as I know when I am selling stuff I haven’t had a single scam reply.

I have a pasche single action which was a fiver in the 80’s, I last used it to do bike lettering and logos and I use it for spraying small stuff.

I also have one of the japanese things with small needles. I went out with a girl who was doing ultrarealistic air brush paintings at art college and she said these air brushes were the best. I never really got on with a dual action brush. I did some custom paint work on motorbikes and the old single action brush did fine for most stuff.

I use car base coat, I kept enough tinters to mix a good range of colours and it sprays ok. I saw airbrush paint for sale when I was buying rolls of masking film, they might be worth trying.

When I first used an air brush in the 70’s I used a lorry inner tube to power it and I used to go over the road and inflate it at the garage;-) I just run it off my main airline now. People used to use old fridge compressors.

I pierced one of my ears when I was 13 and the other when I was 17 but I haven’t had an earring in since I was about 18 or 19, that was 40 years ago! I just had a little poke about with an earring and can easily get a ring through both ears.

I was in a pub one night and I was asked if I had a pierced ear, I had long hair and a beard so no one could see my ears, I said yes and it ended up with me saying get me a needle and an earring and I will pierce Nicks ear.
So Nicks chick scrounged around the pub and came up with a sleeper and a
pair of nail scissors, Nick wriggled a bit but I got the scissors through his ear;-)
You get the crunchy sound and feel with scissors.

I haven’t the faintest idea how anyone manages to do something like that. I was pleased when I built a shed door.

I have no idea how you did that. I put a wanted ad on freecycle when I needed a new a shed door.

I remember Donald Campbell’s crash, Churchills funeral, Cassius Clay and Henry,
The Great Train Robbery and Jim Clarke winning the world championship. I have no idea of the order or dates.

I was talking to a relative and he was saying about coming to see us when we moved to Tredegar. His dad had a radio in his Standard 10 and when they left our house the news came on the radio that Marilyn Monro had been found dead.

Anyone remember a news story about LR industries, it was on the telly quite a few times for a while, I asked my mum what they made and she fobbed me off with some bull. Moving on some years, I went to a greasers pub off the north circular and we passed a building with the “London Rubber Company” on it, I asked someone if it was LR industries and was told it was the old Johnny factory.

    Whats the Minolta thenorthwind?
I started to collect SLRs. I didn’t set out to, I bought an OM1 for a
fiver, then saw an OM2 for similar money and so on. Now I have something like 15. I have a few MEsupers, they seem to have a problem with a latch in the mirror mechanism, well both of mine did and I successfully freed them off and lubricated the offending bit.
Almost all of the lenses I have have fungus.

Once he has accecepted the offer he can go to…
I will have to do it to see where to go.

    ‘selling’ on the Myebay menu.
Then go for the Orders tab, the item will be near the top.
Click on the record number, it will open the sales record.

It will show your name and address, email address, and phone number.

But if he’s accepted an offer you just click on pay and it should
charge you the price he accepted; unless it was a ‘I will nip round in five minutes with some folding stuff’ sort of offer.

We gave a tea chest full of film to someone who puts film on video for the BBC[we had this done in the 80’s]. We got back one video, that seems to have the worst bit’s of film, back and the original film was thrown away!
Make sure you get the original film back.

I need a decent bag to carry it when I am on my bike.

I seem to be collecting SLRs, I have a shelf next to me with 8 on and another few in bags. I ask you could you resist a five quid OM1 or any of the others. But all need seals and other things. I have successfully fixed the shutter of one of them. So anyone have an unloved SLR send it over.
