This may save her the trouble of learning to walk, roll over etc. Don't know if they do one for babies yet but you never know.

I would stick with Ibuprofen. You want some pain relief but you also want to know when you are overdoing it. I've been prescribed diclofenac before and it is very powerful, but had many side effects.

Fiat scudo 2.0 JTD, great for the bikes. Wife has a focus estate again great for the bikes. Going to sell the Scudo and buy something great for the bikes, don't know what yet!

Why was your father always working, was he in a job that he didn't actually like but had to work long hours to provide for his family? Its no excuse for neglecting his children etc but there are always two sides to every story. Why don't you ask him why he was a miserable g!t, you both have nothing to lose and everything to gain if you can resolve some of your feelings.

    Good luck whatever happens.

I removed AVG and now use AVIRA because of the same thing, it just slowed everything right up, seems fine now.

We use this method at work, but you can easily do this at home.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dye_penetrant_inspection

FWIW from experience I would say the paint has cracked due to the Material underneath flexing. If it was my bike I'd leave it alone. The weakest part of that structure is where the weld joins the frame and there are no cracks around that area.

Obviously you would need to put the dye penetrant on the inside of the tube, if its cracked it will creep through.

I would go for a short coated border collie, run all day and some. Be careful about over exercising young dogs or you'll be in the vets having their hips done, not cheap. I had a choc lab and had a spend and save card for the vets. Mongrels for us from now on!

I have a brand new mule, never used it. Use an old gelert with a 1.5L bladder and a large bottle on the bike. The gelert just sits really nicely, the mule moves about and whacks me on the head going down hill.

For 900 quid its a steal. Mega reliable just change the oil regularly and forget about it. Engine wont even be run in yet.

Concur with iDave, dont mess about with it, roast it hard and fast or it will end up tough and dry if you cook it for a long time. You'll regret it if you stew it.

If you have money to burn and can't be bothered to make your own dog food (lets face it not many people do) I would suggest Royal Canin
    http://www.royalcanin.co.uk/my_pet/product_finder.aspx

    Not cheap but very good.

They even do breed specific stuff. My Lab loves this but then she will eat anything!

I was told by an experienced LBS owner to wipe the chain clean then re lube and forget about it. I used to scrub the chain then degrease it, flush it, then dry etc etc. What a faf on. Chain used to wear like billy oh. Now I do what he said and forget about it. His reasoning was that I was washing the dirt out of the bushes etc and this was in turn slackening the chain etc. Also the dirt was holding the lubrication and to some extent helping the lube process. All I know is that I am replacing the chain at much longer intervals and saving time on cleaning the chain, spending longer on the Bike. Its a win win!

Makes a coffee and waits for the onslaught.

6ft 4' ride a 20' 456 plenty big enough for me with a 350mm seat post. I like the long top tube but I am a bit of an ape! Seeing as your only 6ft I would go for the 18' and get a 400mm seat post, sorted!

924 had a 2.0L Audi van engine in it. Quite a reliable old lump. The Turbo version was nuts, that had a 944 lump in it I think?

FFS stop asking a bunch of MTB'ers medical questions and get back to the DOCTOR's and demand that something is done about your arse!

On a non medical note try a more comfortable saddle. The amount of people I see riding bikes with a race saddle cos it looks good and matches their Super dooper Full sus carbon H/T do everything bike, then when they get off they hobble to the car crippled!

Good Luck its a pi$$er when you can't ride.

I think it's the slack head angle and seat post angle that is catching you out.I had pains in my calfs, hamstrings etc. Legs felt shot. Went from an Ali Giant with a 71' head angle to steel 456. Bikes approx the same weight. Giant faster and easier to pedal on climbs and on the flat. The 456 a bit harder work on the flat and road climbs, but here's the rub. Given the choice I'd pick the inbred anyday, its a lot more comfortable on longer rides, a lot more stable on tricky descents, it flatters your abilities. I have not come off yet! It took about 2 months to increase my fitness to a level where I can now no longer tell any difference.

Stick with it, it gets better, honest.

Why should we have to pay for boiler cover. If the bl@@dy things were built properly and designed properly they should just work. Is that to much to ask! Utter sh!te most of them.

All I seem to hear from friends is that the combi has packed up again, taken 5 minutes to diagnose and hundreds of pounds to fix. Personally I'd only get one put in if I was about to sell my house and hope to God that it sold before it packed up, in the current climate that would be 6 months approx. That's probably wishful thinking!

Got the standard fleegle on my inbred, takes a bit of getting used to but it just works great with a short stem and takes a bit of the buzz out of the trail. No complaints.

As above a torx socket on the end of an impact screwdriver, set direction then tap with a hammer the impact turns the head and the bolt loosens if your lucky. A 5mm bolt standard thread has a 0.8 pitch. If your neighbour drills it out bigger than 4.2mm he will remove the thread. If that happens tap it 6mm if poss using a 5mm tapping drill.

As above easi outs are a waste of time and money.

I had conti vertical pro 2.3’s.They are not a wide tyre as their width is measured including the tread nobbles. My kenda 2.1 nevegals are wider than the conti’s. Go for it, great tyres.
(Although they are not a wide tyre check the diameter for rear mech clearance etc.)

The voltage is less because the chemicals used are different for rechargables. Just because the voltage is less it doesn’t mean that the capacity ( amount of energy stored )of the battery will be less than the equivalent alkaline.

Head tubes on the Inbred are short so as long as you don’t want really high bars the steerer length should be fine.

Hamsterley is only a small part of some great riding in the area. Up around Doctors Gate leading to the Forest must be some of the best Bridleway riding in the area. Went up there Sat morning, some guys were struggling on trials bikes. Use the forest as a hub to link up some of the moorland trails and you’ll get more out of a day there. Think of the graded routes there as a starter and head up on the moors for your main course!

Larsen TT’s fast rolling and cheap. Folding ones £15 at Merlin. Seems to be the tyre of choice when mags test bikes.

Doesn’t stem length depend on the head angle? Steep ie 70’plus longer and 68’minus shorter.

    Anybody got one of these,
    http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/nokia-5140i.htm
I’ve had one for about 6yrs, the thing just refuses to die. One replacement battery in all that time. Mans phone for MTBing. Built in compass, fitness coach, splash resistant. I drop mine at least once a day just to check it is still indestructible. If and when it does go I shall mourn its passing like an old friend and go out and buy the exact same phone.

FWIW I prefer my inbred with the fork set at 120mm.

Getting out and climbing has helped me more than anything. Friends ride fast flat cycle trails etc and trail centres in forests and there pace is quite quick but their stamina is poor. So if I can hang on to their coat tails till the next climb comes along I’m off. Hit those hills and build up your stamina, it should also help your rate of recovery!

100mm fork would be ok but a 120mm fork would be better if funds permit.

Two roundabouts sitting in a pub having a drink. In comes a zebra crossing and starts to pester the roundabouts for a drink. They cave in and buy him a drink. A subway then comes in and the zebra crossing starts to pester him for a drink, finally giving in and buys him a pint.

A foot wide strip of tarmac then comes in walks over to the bar. Whisky barmen and make it snappy. It gets its drink pays and leaves.

The barmen remarks to the Zebra crossing that he didn’t pester him for a drink.

The Zebra Crossing replies Don’t mess with him he’s a CYCLE PATH!

BMW got the wind up when Lamborghini who were subcontracted to build the cars were about to go bust. They broke in and stole the mould tools for the bodywork before the receivers took over.
