I did say it wouldn’t be every ones cup of tea but you have to admit the blond adds a bit of interest, and at least it isn’t Coldplay!

In 1976 we took on a long haired German Shepherd bitch that was an ex breeding dog. She was massive! I was six yrs old at the time and used to ride her like a horse round the Garden. Loved that Dog.

Replace the chain rings with cheaper deore steel ones. Every time I’ve used expensive light ali chain rings I’ve experienced some chain suck. I’m convinced the chain picks up on the softer Ali rings. Never had a problem with steel ones! I’m running 3×9 on a 456 with deore crank and rings with a Sram chain.

No! Went once to the Jazz Cafe in Newcastle, sounded like five or six individuals playing in different rooms all piped into one speaker. Pretentious Sh!te. And the Beer was more expensive than it said on the CAN. “How can you complain about the price of the beer when the music is so good” said a ****t from the next table.

There was an interesting episode of the culture show I think called No Nirvana which had some great bands featured. Pearl Jam did a version of Alive that I think has never been bettered, its just a cracking version with some stunning guitar work. I had it on VHS but alas it’s vanished!

Is black actually black or is it an absence of colour?

It’s all well and good buying an Isla Bike but kids want disc brakes and a fork and cool colours. We know that its all B@llocks that adds weight but try telling your eight yr old that. I’ve just bought mine the cheapest 24″ carrera blast. Disc brakes, sus fork etc and most importantly bright snot green colour. 189.00 quid from Halfrauds. Worst put together bike we’ve had but the components are not that bad and its reasonably light. Will save the money from not buying an Isla and put it toward building him a proper bike when he’s a bit bigger.

I second momo’s advice. Gently sautee the onions in a little olive oil first, add mince and salt and pepper to taste. Less is more in this case. If the mince is the usual rubbish from the supermarket sitting on a Tena lady pad then it may be better to add some strong spices. Paprika or cumin will usually mask the taste sufficiently.
If you want to add breadcrumbs to pack it out or chopped veg etc it changes from a burger to a Rissole!

The Euro IV has the DPF These are circa 1K to replace. If it’s a higher milage one you are after avoid like the plague. Go for the non Euro IV. The 2.0 L petrol is a great engine, chain cam no belts to snap approx 150Bhp. Work out your milage and see if you need the Diesel. They are more expensive to buy and cost more to service but obviously have better mpg. The Dual mass flywheels are also very expensive to replace on the diesel. Personally I would go for a Focus estate over the C-Max any day. I am looking at changing our 52 plate 1.8 petrol old shape Focus estate for a newish one. It has been a great car. The c-max has had a fair amount of daft niggly things go wrong compared to other ford models. I think the design was maybe a bit rushed through to try and get a few sales from the Picasso/Espace brigade.

Time to rethink your garage security because the Fe#kers will be back with a chain cutter. Just because they got caught doesn’t mean they won’t try again. They will pass on the info to their scum mates!

Surely you realise that bangernomics doesn’t work with French cars especially Reno’s. A new clutch should only be 200 quid with labour but then I live in the North East. Best banger for your buck has to be an old Corolla.

Been trying to get the capacity seems it has a 4Ah capacity. This seems a bit high for its size so I wouldn’t take it for granted. Probably more like 2Ah’s. What sort of output approx would I get with the two xml’s. Is that 1800L’ms. Ha Ha that would swamp the Toro! I’d rather have a longer run time than outright power, say around 900 lumens. Suppose I could sort that out when configuring the driver. Could you give me an approx price to put this lot together. Led’s, reflectors, drivers and switches etc. Cheers.

I work in the Oil Industry and we are definitely seeing a shift albeit slowly to pumping the oil out as opposed to it coming out under pressure. They pump seawater in to push the oil out. Presumably this is for fields that have been in use for some time. No idea how long it will last but I hope it will see me to retirement!

Bosch. Had our dishwasher and washer for 10yrs now. Both faultless. My Aunty has a Bosch washer that is 25yrs old. The pump gets emptied once every 3yrs, loose change etc.

Any good Fab shop should be able to Tig weld Ali, the main problem will be jigging it so it doesn’t move when it cools down. I would bolt a plate to it first then get it welded, hoping the plate stops any movement. You have nothing to lose.

Done a lot of stuff with carbon fibre on rallycars etc. It is incredibly strong for its weight and torsionally stiff. Its the intended application that always seems to be the problem. Unless the frame or component has a lot of protection say from a outer coating of resin etc they do seem to be compromised by a point loading causing a chip or crack. A friend of mine bought a Trek EX9 carbon hardtail and they left off the plate that protects the BB area from chain rub. When he commented that the BB area had a few scratches on the fibre off the chain they said it would be a good idea if he saved up and bought a new frame just in case. This was a 2.5K bike FFS! The bike had only just had its first service. I know, you would have thought that they would have set up the derailler so the chain stayed on the granny gear. As for getting a CF bike I could only justify one if I lost a shed load of weight. Steel is real for me at the moment.

Lets face it we need their oil. So since we originally backed what appears to be the losing side, we now are going in under the auspices of saving the rebels and stopping an humanitarian disaster. Like we give a monkies what happens to these people! The UN should have gone in straight away rather than dithering, this just shows that Europe and the UN have no teeth. Better fill those Petrol tanks peeps 1.50 a litre here we come.

Saab 900T16 Aero sold it at 285K. I was the second owner, my uncle owned it from new passed it on to me at 260K. I sold it to a lad who restored the bodywork. Engine and running gear spot on, the window pillars were starting to go. That was a quick car, turbo boost valve was faulty. Bang whoosh hold on to the steering wheel for dear life, wahayyyy! 8O

If you head out over the moors at Hamsterley there is some superb riding around Doctors Gate and Pikeston Fell. Go on the trailblazers site and you will find plenty of stuff in the area.

Yes they are different widths, they taper down toward the back. The bars should be adjustable so you can place them where you want. There is a guide with the Ford ones that I got when I bought them which gives you the correct placement for them, for the best weight distribution. The genuine Ford bars are a lot cheaper than Thule ones. I think I paid 65 quid plus vat from my local dealer.

Sounds like it could be the water pump. My Focus is on it’s second one 100K and its on its way out again. I think the next one will be coming from Euro car parts as the ford ones seem to be made from plasticine.

I think that at the moment if your left or right biased in your political leanings it doesn’t really matter a jot unless your a politician. They are all laughing at us from there big clubhouse in London. No party will implement big change and plan for the future say in 10 or 20yrs time because it wont benefit them at the present. All our political parties are so short sighted and only seem bothered in the here and now. I’m off for a Fursty Ferret.

Great Advice all. Have ordered a Samsung UE32C4000 LED backlit telly from Amazon for 300 notes and a Humax PVR 9300T 320GB for 150 notes. Why so small, Watching BBC’s Techy thing on a morning they reckon that it’s best to stick with the 3 to 4 times rule. IE 32″ telly you should be 96 to 128″ away so you can focus properly on the screen. That’s bang on the distance from telly to sofa! Also there is I thought a general rule that your IQ is inversely related to the size of your telly. Maybe I heard that on TopGear and its total rubbish.
