As for the question where will we get our infantry from? Would there be anything stopping the Scots from enlisting in HM’s Armed Forces? I would imagine that these servicemen have a family tradition of serving in the military. There are a lot of ex servicemen serving abroad in Aus and Canada etc.

Does that small cage give enough support I’m tempted to get some m 647’s as my next purchase unless someone can tell me the xt trail ones are better.

You could head up to waskerly then down across the moors to edmundbyers. We normally start at edmundbyers head up to blanchland then up towards slaley woods turn left head to rookhope then down back to edmundbyers. There is some great moorland singletrack up there.

You think you’re going to be all rufty tufty and do the right thing and be brave and all that bollocks and it tears your heart out. Remember the good times then go out and get another one!

It has been mentioned by friends in the past ha ha. Should we opt for a meritocracy or a democracy? Discuss. Or is that for another thread?

DX will last longer but it will wear the shaft of the pedal faster, you dont get something for nothing. DU bushes will need replacing sooner but at that cost it may well be better to replace them than the pedals. Maybe?

Have to agree with bob from kansas. We have a political ruling class all privately educated who have a complete and utter grip on power. Nothing will change in this country whoever you vote for. It will just continue to swap about left then right, good cop bad cop blah blah blah. Just keep your head down and get on with it!

Don’t forget the cost of hairdo’s. Me 7quid for a kids cut, a no 4. My wife 50quid if she has a colour. I’m well in credit for bike stuff.

The black hole’s gravitational pull alters an objects mass by increasing its density, so for a given amount of energy its speed increases. I think?

I’m 6ft 4 and 34″ inside leg. I ran a 350mm carbon post in a 20″ 456 and it was on the absolute limit. Changed to a 400mm alloy post and that was much better. I still struggle to get sufficient length with a 80 mm stem and an inch of layback on the post. I think you’ll struggle with a 16 frame.

The older I get the longer it takes me to get going, feel crap for the first few miles / climbs then settle down. Find I have more stamina and can keep going a lot longer but at a slower pace. Can usually reel in the young uns after 20 or so miles! 6ft 4″ and about 18stone. Need to shift some weight from my top half. I hear the rowing machine calling from the garage.

Yeah just had to do the same. Luckily google had all the saved data, phew. Seems ok at present, we’ll see how it goes. Seems the firmware update has caused a few probs. Cheers.

Agree with you on the first point but disagree with your second point Elfin. Lots of charity work inc the WWF. His life really hasn’t been his own since he married Liz. Duty always coming before family. He is antiquated because he’s from another era, I’m not saying what he does is right or wrong but its honest.

Whoa bit of a jump from Old Phil to uncle Adolf there Elfin. You really do have a rather large axe to grind. You can come across as rather bitter sometimes. You haven’t been disinherited from a stately pile in the past have you

Would you rather somebody told you what they really thought good or bad or fed you a load of sh!t to keep you happy so you never actually know what they think. Wether you think he’s a biggot, racist or whatever was not the point. You are left in no doubt where he stands unlike 99% of our politicians.

Well I like the man doesn’t suffer fools, tells it like it is, what you see is what you get. He’s a breath of fresh air in these PC times.

I would hazard a guess and say more MTB’rs have been airlifted to hospital than members of the royal family. I think this service is available to the peasant classes as well

6ft 4″ body like an orangutang ride a 23″ giant for commuting and an inbred 456 20″ for knarly stuff. Probably going to go for a singular swift when finances allow and sell the inbred frame.

Take the plugs out and crank it to get the oil pressure up before you start it properly. Put the plugs back in and then get it warm, make sure stat opens and the cabin gets warm air. Once you are happy its warm then change the oil. Take along trip to the mot centre to clean the pads up and go for it. Its the water pump that fails on these this then takes the timing belt off with it.

My mates company got a police driving expert in to coach the fleet of company car drivers in order to save fuel. Turns out they were driving to slowly and changing up to early. The trick apparently is to maintain the highest gear you can while at peak torque and not to worry if they cant get it in sixth gear. 5th gear at slighly higher revs was in most cases more efficient. So they tried this and to their amazement he was right, diesel costs have come down significantly. So put your foot down!

Our FF has a switch inside the fridge part that needs to be switched if the temp is below a set amount. Probably for this very problem. Have a check inside its normally next to the light.

Bosch every time, just get a basic model and keep it simple. Install and forget. Or get it fixed as above.

Well I,m going riding with the Boy, at last I have a reason to have a day off, having worked the last month without a day off. Small Engineering company, not enough staff. It’s not all good I’ll have to go in during the night to make the time up or the company will suffer big probs. How the other half live!
