I haven’t really been following the BBB threads as I didn’t attend, so I may have missed some vital information.

As I understand it, BBB/WCA is being temporarily banned for promoting a charity event he’s organising for no personal profit because it’s considered spamming.
At the same time, STW are giving free publicity to shaving foam and whiskey in the Bike Products review section because they’ve been sent free samples.

Is there more to it than that ?
and thats all you need to know about the bike mag business… .

under certain conditions, I believe it is legal.
Is there a clause preventing your clients from contacting you? How specific is the wording of the contract?

i always thought that coved stealing there client lists etc… like when you get a job at a double gazing company and then they tell you to get a job at a rival and then borrow there client data…

Most of the clients would follow me if i left & set up on my own or moved to a different company but there’s a clause in the contract i currently have which stops me contacting any of my clients within a 2 year period.

    is that legal?

harder to sell most people think its in Spanish and wont even pick up the box, etc..

That’s the work of the shop/sales assistant, no? Providing the customer with the correct information to make the sale. While agreeing with you, the shop would also need to spend a little time and effort making sure the customer is informed enough to buy, but if that’s too much effort the shop also has the right to refuse to buy. All very ineresting.

also some people like to put them on there shelves in order, etc.. it would ruin the look of their collection..maybe sell em to a Spanish dvd website..

I had an OEM Recon that couldn’t be extended. Only way to tell is to open them up.
This is the answer I expected to be honest. I can’t bring myself to open them, but I’m pretty sure mine can’t be extended to 120mm

I retro fitted a moco damper, replaced the oil but the standard amount of oil they recommend for these shox is too much for mine and they wouldn’t compress fully, dropped some oil back out and I can now get them to depress within 8-10mm of the max travel

One weird thing though, when all air was depressed I pushed the shox down and they made a big clunk noise? What’s all that about ?
you haven’t done it properly strip em down and reassemble as shown in the instructions, oil level is very important!

why do people buy these things, they brake, look old fashioned and handle like a brick
I bought one cos my LBS had them, and I really like it. Still going 4 years later, and it handles really quite nicely. But then, lots of bikes handle well and are good for different reasons – I don’t go around slagging off other people’s bikes

i had one and it was umm well not very good to say the least, and very expensive for what i got… was about 12 years ago though… lasted about 2 days, broke at a weld, shop swaped it for a trek y thing that was equally as shit! it wasn’t a 5 it was a X2 with RST forks

    1999 vintage K2 / Proflex OZ ?
Unless you have seen one and know what they look like its possibly one of those. Mine gets mistaken for an Orange alot , by people who dont know what they are.
If it was travelling at a rate of knots then a quick glance at the (easton ) swingarm would make you say ” Its a carbon 5″

do you still have the battery powered rear shock???

10 people, billing at ~£50/hour, one meetings already cost you £500. Minutes sent instantly after the meeting, not 2 weeks later when someone types up a half remembered version. We take our important notes on a laptop/PC as the chairman might be on £1000/day so you don’t want to have to run the meeting twice!

no body needs that money why not make the world a better place by beating his brains out with the Ipad..
