Igrf is that you?I know it’s astounding isn’t it, Clark and I?
igrfFree MemberScatman style..
Prefer my own Clarke Gable analogy, identical twins if you ask me..
igrfFree MemberI was going to say the same, hell there’s been case law on stuff like this back as far as Sikhs on M/cycles..
What on earth are you selling to your clients?
igrfFree MemberDoh, don’t do it to him, that waste of space first potential client I went to see came to nothing, maybe at the client facility there will be fellow mo’s, look on the positive side, it worked for me..
igrfFree MemberWell having taken it off once this month as noted earlier in this thread I had a really important meeting yesterday and thought I’d probably better remove it again, but then when it came to it couldn’t go through with it, wanting the astonishing likeness between myself and Clarke Gable to continue a tad longer.
So as luck would have it, the guy I’m negotiating with, French chap, is also mid mo, so yesterday we signed an historic deal together for a new agency on the 27th of Movember, that means it has bought me luck and now may never be removed which will inevitably bring me more problems from excess female attention.
Not sure what to do now..
igrfFree MemberThe brand v CRC thing is a tad more complicated than the LBS v CRC local issue, the problem comes from CRC’s attempt at world domination, literally shipping to almost every market in the world. So global brand owners have no choice but to refuse supply if their brand is to have any chance in markets where local distributors struggle to establish a presence only for their consumers to go online and have the product shipped below profit margin thresholds because of either their pricing policy or currency imbalances or a combination of both.
So if Endura are attempting to market overseas which I suspect they would and should be then they have no choice but to cease dealing with CRC, CRC themselves do not negotiate that well as we have experienced, nor do they appear to have any ability to differentiate between markets and market pricing in order to respect a given brands necessity to reflect local market conditions.
We all suffer as a result, we want to supply them as an excellent online resource, but it breaches our contractural obligations so to do, they need to attend to it, or more and more companies will be forced to cease in their dealings with CRC or lose their agencies.

No, I just used it to ride to work on when I lived in London. 20 year old frame, cheap parts, less worry about theft and breakage. So that’s my explanations out of the way, what’s yours for acting like a 5 year old?Benjamin Button me..

Really, is there any need?Well it is raining and not much else to do, but I now realise there are so many more important subjects to debate here so will step away from the keyboard and back off now…
igrfFree MemberAnd there was me thinking it was a mountain bike forum….
So I can add Footy Fans to the list then, so do y’all drive your Audi’s to the match then?

This isn’t the first time igrf has turned up on a thread, trolled a bit, had a massive hissy fit and said that he doesn’t want to sell anything to someone who isn’t super radical. I have a road bike (well, more than one), a singlespeed but also ride (and buy) the sort of bikes you sell but I guess you’d not want my money as I have some bib shorts in the cupboard.Ooo I’ve never really got to speak to a real live single speeder, so tell me what happened to you? Do you get like voices in your head telling you gears are bad? Wtf are ‘bib’ shorts do the voices tell you to wear them as well or is it some masonic like uniform you single speeders wear to recognise each other?

I wonder if there’s a footy forum where someone has posted about cycling, clearly forgetting/ignoring that people tend to like more than one sport and has been surprised by their response to being insulted. While we’re here, can we get a list if sports you approve us paying money to watch? Or should we just not support local sport at all.
I am like a moth to a flame with this place..
I couldn’t help myself but google This[/url] Where they seem too busy,’Let’s all laughing at <insert appropriate loser club>, the Fittest Wag or managing a gang bang in a brothel or some Cove’s inability so to do, I doubt very much if bikes and or bike riding is very high on their agenda.
igrfFree MemberThe Mrs thinks the boss is dodgy, way back as far as Carrie’s female contact being killed early on.
That was Abu Nazir minus beard.

IIRC, the last time igrf went through this catharsis, someone suggested contacting the companies he represents in this country as it might be harming their sales. I don’t think the list of companies has changed since that time, so I can only suggest they don’t give a damnWell I think if you follow your last advice to me, which I forgot to thank you for, I hadn’t seen it, I actually do them more good than harm resolving issues, footballers aside, that and the fact we’re their biggest distributor outside the states, selling to folk who don’t post on this forum, or drive Audi’s, teach children badly, bash keyboards for a living, remove children from foster homes because they vote UKIP, or centre punch their seat post and wonder why it broke…
And one day, in the real world you might find I could even help folk on here if they have a problem, which was why I did re log back on after the last debacle, anyway, it’s enough of this frivolity, I still think building a statue to a football manager is a total waste of everything and an insult to some folks intelligence, but I’m prepared also to accept that others find it uplifting and they in turn are equally welcome to their views.
igrfFree MemberI shall have to google the “Edinburgh defence’ not been here long enough to have experienced that, but if you knew what independent store owners think of this place which is a hive of Onone, CRC, Wiggle and every other internet direct destructive influence on their businesses I’ll not lose too much sleep.
Shame though, that an allegedly intelligent forum can’t tolerate the views of another without becoming nasty though isn’t it? And you wonder why everyone thinks you’re all tossers (Which kind of includes me since I’m now posting here).
igrfFree MemberNo I meant it with neal, he’s thick, and he admitted it not only to me, but to an entire forum of IT wallas, there corrected the spelling so the grammar expert can go google..
igrfFree MemberI for sure, as a football lover and a lycra clad whatever will not be giving you any of my hard earned.
I’m sure you’ll be happy with that, as indeed I am.If as you say, you’re a lycra clad football lover, then I am quite comfortable that nothing I sell would remotely interest you anyway and even if it did and it was up to me which it isn’t, I wouldn’t sell it to you anyway it might upset my proper customers, why would they want to buy the same kit a lycraclad wendyboy uses? 😉
Edit and that includes you nealglover, go buy stuff from someone else.
igrfFree Memberdavidjones15 – Member
but hey I’m happy to take that riskYou and Gerald Ratner.
I doubt also that they’re so stupid that they’d let something as inane as a comment on an internet forum full of lycra clad politically correct, teachers, IT wallers, roadies, bleeding hearts and single speeders, prevent them from making a commercial choice in their product purchase.Classy and surprisingly accurate
As well as FTFY, there’s one difference between Ratner & I, well two come to think of it, no three if he’s still actually alive. The first I don’t sell what did he call his stuff ‘rubbish, crap’? Because secondly, I like to ride only the best stuff I can get my butt on, so no danger of that comparison, although it’s not the first time it’s been suggested on this forum.
igrfFree Memberdavidjones15 – Member
Not sure why it makes any difference to my opinion what I do for a living,Your opinion is your opinion, something you’re perfectly entitled to. I’ll let you work out what the problem with alienating potential customers is, all by you intelligent little self.
Well here’s the news, this past thirty years or so, my potential customers enjoy their weekends and free time, surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, snowboarding, free ride mountain biking, they don’t pay stupid amounts of money to watch overpaid girlie boys kicking and diving a ball around, they might play the game occasionally as we all do, but watching it aint high on their list last I looked. I doubt also that they’re so stupid that they’d let something as inane as a comment on an internet forum full of lycra clad politically correct, teachers, IT wallers, roadies, bleeding hearts and single speeders, prevent them from making a commercial choice in their product purchase.
I could be wrong of course, but hey I’m happy to take that risk. 😉igrfFree Memberdavidjones15 – Member
igrf, as a director of a company that sells cycling equipment, do you think it’s a good idea to wind up potential customers? You appear to be saying that football fans are a bit below you,Not sure why it makes any difference to my opinion what I do for a living, but as to football fans being a bit ‘below me’ that would make them midgets as well as being victims of the further commercialisation of a proletarian pastime.
Play the game = fine, pay huge sums to watch it = victim, erect statues to multimillionaire manager and part time changing room boot chucker = insane.
Just my opinion, doesn’t take any special qualification to have it.
igrfFree MemberWhat is the matter with you people read the bloody posts will you?
We’ve said we’ll sort it, we always sort things like this, you don’t get to stay in this business for thirty years not sorting warranty claims ffs, it’s the weekend, someone will be on it on monday, who is the dealer (In case he hasn’t actually even tried us yet)?
igrfFree MemberYou know what, it took 60 yrs to get a statue to bomber command, and there are still loads of deserving wartime participants with no monument to their sacrifice, yet some bod, obnoxious for the most part, paid God knows what gets his memory perpetuated, for what? What do you need a statue to him for, you can still see him most saturdays or whenever it is the wendyboys get their overpaid arses down to the ground for a bit of a kick about?
igrfFree MemberI echo everyone’s sentiments here and hope and wish for a positive outcome also, you have to try and stay normal for your own and everyone around you’s sake. Hell it makes my problems seem pathetic by comparison I really feel for you.
igrfFree Membertakisawa2 – Member
igrf…are you the agent / importer then…?OP, at least it looks as if it could get sorted…
Yes and yes it will and probably already would have, I only dropped in because those idiot football supporters raised a statue to Alex Ferguson, I put up a silly post and druidh pointed out I wasn’t doing my job so couldn’t erect a statue to myself…
Ken will already be on this, but his job will now be a tad more complicated if Transition have indicated they’re not happy to warranty flakey paint, they wont be fully conversant with what a touchy bunch of consumers Brits are, that’s our job to negotiate, not the dealer or the consumer, the warranty chain follows the legal chain.
The consumer has a contract with the dealer, the dealer has a contract with us, and us with the Supplier, there are times when we are forced to act without supplier support in which case, we’d swap the frame, use the knaff one as a demo or refurb it and sell it through other channels whatever, but we do and have always had an excellent warranty record with our dealers so you are in good hands we’ll support this brand even if they don’t, that’s our job.igrfFree Memberfudge9202 – Member
Just had my second ride out on my new Bandit was putting it away noticed paint flaking off the rear swingarm hope Transition cover it spoke to surf-sales said it should be no problem , finger crossed. Anyone with similiar issue would be good to hear from you.So let me ask direct, if we said we’ll sort it why then talk to Transition?
igrfFree Memberwrecker – Member
Umm, it’s a manufacturing defect and you’ve been promised a repair/replacement? Seems like good service to me.
I doubt they’ll thank you for putting it on the interweb.Plus this, this slows things down, clearly when we’re already committed to helping we certainly don’t react well to what we regard as blackmail, only when we’ve refused to help should you try to stir up unrest amongst the STW hive.
igrfFree Memberdruidh – Member
And what had Surf Sales to say about it?We’d normally assist the dealer with a goodwill gesture, wether Transition or any of our other suppliers declined to help or not, there’s a guy employed full time, called Ken, who will sort it.
The procedure will be photo’s, purchase evidence that it is UK sourced and a return no issued to the dealer if, the dealer feels it is a warrantable fault. That’s the way it works, the dealer acts as a ‘claims adjuster’ and stands between us and what can on the odd occasion be a claim that is not justified.
This is a new one, we’ve not had a flaking paint claim yet, so we’ll want to know about it.
It hasn’t reached my desk yet, which normally it would if the supplier was refusing, but not to worry, we generally do the right thing.

Do you not have a lot going on in your life, igrf? (I don’t right now, obviously)Clearly not, and I must immediately consider raising a statue to myself for 30 yrs of doing the job I paid myself to do.
igrfFree MemberFirst he’s still alive, so it’s toady brown nosing of the highest order, being chavs for the most part ‘they’ wouldn’t clock the normal precedent of at least waiting for the subject to pass this mortal coil. I can’t wait for them to start losing and the statue gets defaced by other moronic ‘fans’.
It really is beyond crass and I’m really surprised the the number of y’all here that think it’s fine.
igrfFree MemberNothing wrong with football, something we should all play and agreed it can be a unifying sport. However erecting statues to those who create a career from it’s moneytisation, if there is such a word, is not my idea of noble, sorry.

The OP doesn’t ‘do’ soccer and has never comprehended the desire of others to stand and shout at a bunch of overpaid girlie boys kicking a ball around and it is the fact they’ve created what is clearly not the first craven image to one of their ‘Gods’ he finds frankly astounding.
There are times when one has to question one’s membership of the same species.Clearly the OP doesn’t “do” correct grammar either. I hope my improvements to your mangled syntax will be of use to you in your quest for cultural and intellectual superiority.
You and I clearly were educated in a different era. You’re wrong.
igrfFree MemberNo no no, don’t even start with your social liberalism we’ll be passing a hat round for a statue to Dav Brailsford next, give me a break…
He did a job, got paid really well for it, that’s all, nothing that rates a statue.
igrfFree MemberVancouver, get out of this country whilst you’re still young, you’ll never look back.

igrfFree MemberDebate is raging in igrf towers as to how close the resemblance now is between myself and Clark and frankly I don’t give a damn what they think..
ClarkThe only difference as I see it, I’m not black and white.
igrfFree Member+1, got the original on vinyl and daughter no 2 who’s music tastes mirror my own, got the double CD, which she left here and so was confiscated when she went to Uni. So yes go and see what is it a musical or live gig? Either way it can’t be any worse than having to sit through ‘The Bodyguard’ and have your ears bleed as a result.
igrfFree MemberGreat to read of someone with as much history is still keen, even though technically you’re still a youngster from where I’m standing, nice read, hope you have many years to come… Happy Birthday.
igrfFree MemberTo be honest I’m finding that using Google Apps and Google drive is better than Apple Icloud based applications, I’ve tried both, I’ve got numbers, it sucks, doesn’t like vlookups, likes them even less if there is an ‘Isna’ command involved.
You can and I have got a keyboard, but seriously, if you want something light to mess with spreadsheets with any serious purpose get a macbook air. Ipads are OK to look at stuff, using spreadsheets as price lists, presentations, pdq’s of brochures, but to actually do anything they are a bit lame imv.
But if you absolutely must then everything is a lot easier to transfer with Google drive and Google apps.
igrfFree MemberIt’s not ‘his kind’ that’s keeping him here, it’s the legal Industry and I use the word Industry very deliberately, thanks to Mrs Blair whispering in her husbands ear, the legal industry has been doing very nicely from all this and the thousands of other claims from immigrants.
He is of course on legal aid, paid for of course by us tax paying saps, as of course is the governments side, so both ways we are being royally screwed, whilst our legal betters make millions and the lower orders face cut backs and redundancy.
Not to menion the other handouts given by our wonderful state to whoever manages to turn up on our shores with a tale of woe..
Doesn’t it just keep you warm at night knowing we’re so liberal with our money?

I was riding and selling these twenty years ago.Full sus switchable on off, really light and stiff, way ahead of its time…
igrfFree MemberThis is the best thing to come from Mini, a van, claim back the vat and get a bike inside, what more could you want?
