    Andyl,

The sat morning ride is also a slower paced ride, so you will be fine, there are a few whippets in group but they dont do saturdays and wont be out to play until spring, even the thursday night rides are not overly fast as nemesis says. You will have to turn up for a ride before they let you on the group page now due to unwelcome interest in bikes etc. 10 am from swan in rowberrow if interested

    Ceepers,

Yes I know Rich, the social side of it is very good and both groups get on very well, their numbers have increased hugely over the course of this year. The xmas social will be a good one with about 50 attending :D

    Simon,

I ride with the shipham mtb group every Thursday all year round from the swan at 7.45pm, new riders always welcome. There is another group that leaves at 7.45 in shipham both groups finish in swan for food and beer around ten, the group that goes from shipham centre is a bit more gentle paced. There is also a group that go from the crown, I believe it is called the mad cows.
The shipham mtb also has a sat morn ride

Brecon Beast last year got to the top just before gap descent, suffering from bad cramp, I didn’t have enough energy to unclip so just had no choice but to slowly topple sideways into grass. The hikers thought it was hilarious. I was too tired to care

    Id say no,

My dad worked for BAE in Saudi for roughly 16 years. My mum went with him which left myself and 2 brothers here. One at college 2 in forces. Id say as a whole we are not the closest family due to everyone having to be so independent due to only seeing each other 3-4 times a year. I think the money incentives will never outweigh negatives of lost time with the kids.

I got a set of 650b tesla evo tactic rim wheels in the april sale. struggled to set them up tubeless until I changed the rim tape, but so far they have handled everything I have thrown at them. Only thing I cant get used to is the sound of the rear hub (swarm of bees springs to mind). For £200 I think they are more than worth the money.

Apologies for what may sound stupid but I am not sure what a gpx file is, I have it recorded on strava but not too sure how to export that, I know one of the other lads had a garmin does that export to gpx?, if so I could ask him

I have a 2014 Kili Flyer. Had no issues with at all, I have uprated a few things through personal preference. Its my first full suspension bike and I love it.

There is a group that leaves the swan in roberrow at 8pm on a Thursday and also on a sat at 10am more casual pace same routes, another group goes out at half seven but not sure where from on thursday, bumped into a group from axbridge on a Thursday may be worth while asking in pub or shop in centre

It is a lot better than it has been, still wet up around the trig area, but if head over burrington ham side it is fine.

    Have fun

There’s a few groups around that way as well, bumped into a group from axbridge on Thursday night a couple of weeks ago, and there’s a couple that go from swan in raspberries, loads of trails around, bit wet at moment but it’s part of the fun
