As a local to Cut Gate and a regular summer user my personal opinion is that it would take More than just slabs to cure the swamp problems up there. The slabs would just end up sinking over a period of time thus being a waste of time and money. As for a solution to the problem the only way I can see would be to move the path to the higher ground on the right, but then you would be back to square one again in a few years time when the new path turns to a bog. I would love to see a solution to the problem as it’s one of my favourite summer evening rides.

I’ve never had a problem with Propain… Spoke to them on the phone and all speak very good English. http://www.mtb-news.de/forum/f/propain-bicycles.249/ I used this forum when I was looking for advice before purchasing my Tyee. Nothing better than rider feedback

My 9 year old has a Genesis Core 24…it’s a cracking little bike. They have changed it this year to rigid forks.

I have a Propain Tyee which is 160mm version of the spindrift and can say the shock position is nothing to worry about. I’ve used it for everything form xc to a week in morzine and it handled everything. I wouldn’t says it’s a xc whippet but once you roll over the top of the hill it’s grin factor 10….it sticks to the ground and is very nimble. The Spindrift is on my bucket list.

I cancelled mine 3 months ago and went over to BT….I get a call at least once a week from Sky offering me deals…. Latest was 60% off a package….. Dodgy box on the way as we speak…so fair to say I won’t be returning. Lol

cheers for the reply…..we’d rather do self catering than hotel to be honest. We’ve rode other areas of The Alps but never D’Huez. Does the lifts run from the valley bottom in Bourg de oisans?
