Whatever you may encounter on the roads is never a good idea to let it swing your mood about, it won’t help your driving.
Its also good practice to remember you have no clue what is going on with the vehicle or driver/passengers in question. You may have even missed something that they have not.
Just be patient folk and drive like the fabulous people you are when on your bike.
iffoverloadFree MemberI initially wanted to try bee keeping in a small way so off I buzzed to the local bee supply store
On enquiring they said I could start off small and sold them by the dozen, so I puchased one.
When he handed them over I noticed that there were actually thirteen inside and asked if that was rightah, don’t worry, he said, that’s a freebie
I’ll see myself out….
iffoverloadFree MemberI don’t see anything wrong with the middle lane on an empty motorway as long as you pull over if someone is flying up behind you…
lane one is often thrashed by lorries, potholes appear overnight.
I hate the idiots who speed in lane one and weave across all three lanes constantly overtaking vehicles too closely singnaling after they have started to manouver etc..as if they are trying to demonstrate what great keep left disipline they have, tosspots
iffoverloadFree Memberdetergents and hot water may encourage any oil on the surfaxe of the pads to be absorbed deeper, I’d sand them down as a first option, but order a new set if you don’t have spares handy.
The only way I have found to rescue contaminated pads involved burning the crap out of them till they stop smoking, but the friction material sometimes came away from the metal backing shortly after so I don’t really trust that method ( I might have overdone it!)
iffoverloadFree MemberI vaguely remember some non standard sizing when messing with leftys and lefty for all on a ‘dale and other bikes a while back but not shure what the current state of play is
these chaps are pretty well up to speed though
iffoverloadFree Memberyou could use a DI box, they have a 1:1 transformer to isolate your kit, useful to have around
MTR do a stereo one, I use a BSS to DI guitars and Bass which sounds nice
…or thick rubber gloves..
iffoverloadFree MemberOn a positive note we are going to increase exports in at least one key area without all those pesky euro nosey parkers
iffoverloadFree MemberSuperior Drumer is pretty good, it has a lot of options built in to get the sound you want as well as some really well recorded sample library and presets.
It also comes with a pretty comprehensive library of e-drums pre mapped out which makes initial setup easy with whichever hardware you decide you like the feel of.
iffoverloadFree MemberI think it was the point that people are concerned that their (in)actions infringe on the rights of others or vice versa (like clean air or water) and we should have laws etc, that would have to apply to everything or nothing.
iffoverloadFree MemberIt does not really equate, I just find it bizzare the willingnes and unified action from the public, govt. and industry in the face of this pandemic, but it seems that we believe we are immune to the effects of our polluted enviroment despite mountains of scientific evidence and we find reason to prevaricate endlessly.
Just proves what a bunch of bickering idiots we are no?
iffoverloadFree MemberI agree with the scientists,
Prof Metin Avkiran of the British Heart Foundation said: “Air pollution is clearly a huge problem across Europe. We need to see WHO guidelines in UK law in order to drive decisive action to protect the nation’s health.”
Penny Woods, the chief executive of the British Lung Foundation, said: “Toxic air doesn’t just cut lives short. It also seriously affects the health and quality of life of millions of people.”
The scientists acknowledge there are large uncertainties in their early death estimates for Europe, which range from 645,000 to 934,000. Some deaths could have been misattributed to air pollution, but it is as likely that the true number of deaths could be even higher, they said.
get some perspective people.

Full MemberLooks like this PoS agreement will be the final push I need to get round to sorting out Spanish citizenship
Won’t you have to renounce Citizenship and then apply for settled status though?
iffoverloadFree MemberLive die repeat (edge of Tomorrow) and the other one with cruise, oblivion I think, sounds up your street.
iffoverloadFree MemberJust seen this on the Washington Post
Opinion by Dominic Raab
Dec. 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. GMTDominic Raab is Britain’s foreign secretary.
The United Kingdom and the European Union have reached a historic new deal…. blah blah blah….
a beautifuly written pile of horseshit.
the actions of the goverment are what speak, not words.
I have complete faith that they will continue true to past form, probably even more so.
iffoverloadFree Member” share gig money” lol, or have things changed since my time?
can’t you use garageband drummer on a iphone or logicX on a laptop?
but honestly just please get a drummer, (unless you like caberet)
iffoverloadFree Membercheck out mixbus for something old skool style
https://harrisonconsoles.com/product/mixbus/
MIDI is a bit rubbish on it though
iffoverloadFree Memberalpin
,,,Old retired couple….
recording of a “dry persistent cough” on repeat?
and a nice pair of noise cancelling headphones for you 🙂
iffoverloadFree MemberThe regulatory alignment angle is just to buy some time, the UK will go full deregulated capitalist heaven in due course once the vultures have gotten their plays into place.
I feel there is no intention of honoring any deal in the long term.

I am a boring little troll, please ignore me
okay
iffoverloadFree MemberSlate was traditionally used, something sqashed by a Welsh mountain is pretty uncompressible
but as it is naturally occuring and can possibly vary itcannot be given a number for the structural number crunchers to work with so dry packing a sand/cement mix was used instead.I dont know what the end of the steels are resting on can’t make it out on my tiny screen, but we would often put up shuttering and cast an in situ lintel, engineering brick was also an option, depended on the BS sometimes…
If the supporting walls had footings rather than a foundation some underpinning was not uncommon depending on the loads involved etc.
Whatever was holding up the exixting Joists ws probably not a flat as the RSJ and they would require packing I suspect to keep the floor above in the same position
you are always going to get cracks but doors and windows not operating are cause for investigation for shure
iffoverloadFree MemberCongrats, best advice I can give is get some sleep while you can and if you really need to do something in the near future do it now.
PS those little devices to suck out bogeys are brilliant.
iffoverloadFree Memberyou could try to let all the updates run if you have not done it yet
but I would ask them to remove the fusion drive and fit a standard SSD
You might have a hardware fault otherwise
if you go to the store in person ask them to test it with you present.
good luck!
iffoverloadFree Membercmd-d is the diagnostics test, will likely not start if the drive is on the blink
the alt-cmd-r will attemt to start you mac from a recovery disk over the internet
if the problem is the drive and your internet connection is ok it should start up
iffoverloadFree Membertry command+r for recovery mode?
or Option-Command-R
Shift-Option-Command-Rfor internet based recovery
iffoverloadFree Memberfirst thing is to make a backup of anything important if you have not done so.
then keep the backup far away from your mac for the time being. My advice wold be to get the fusion drive swapped with a SSD.
the later MacOS uses a new APFS file system instead HFS+
it is optimised for SSD/flash drives and does all sorts of encription and other background tasks as well as completely altering the way changes to files are handled.Buggy and unreliable in weird and wonderful ways… bu some people have no issues?
high sierra on an old cheesegrater MacPro is a cheap and high performing if you want to geek out a little bit. You can run any OS you want in a virtual machine which covers you for compatability forwards and back.
PS macrumours has a helpful forum.
iffoverloadFree Membervery possibly, if a derailleur hanger can do it your drop outs certainly will.
and yes clean and lube your pivots!
iffoverloadFree MemberMy predictions for 2020+
Boris and co attempt Trumpism with trade war type actions with EU in order to gain leverage.
EU responds by
Realising that it has no need to sell anything to the UK, and profits from not importing anything from the UK but trading with other EU members and partners, creating opportunity to fill the void left by anything they require from the UK by…
Throwing doors open to UK migrants, both bussiness and personal
creating a huge exodus of talented skilled educated people and thriving businesses who are granted EU citizenship and rights based on an AUS type point system*UK becomes dependant on 3rd parties for everything as it has a population of gammons and corrupt politicians only to sustain it and gets chopped up and sold off in bits to jonny forriner investments inc..
UK market becomes saturated with Air BnBs owned by UK migrants tavilable so new “leavers” can pop over to spend their mighty euros as they please and laugh at the gammony “remainers” if so inclined
*point being if you are a gammon you stay put in the UK.

So I’m saying to all of you, think before you slag,
yeah thought about it and based on the commonly held belief that “berksiteers” are in fact not stupid the conclusion is..
Not to slag them off.
To make no attempt at consolation with them.
To laugh at any misfortunes and difficulties they will suffer as a result of their political “feelings”
maybe even to publicise their stuggles with losing a job and dealing with universal credit, providing a future with opportunity for their offspring etc. on social media…to not offer assistance if I really needed to go and they were on fire.
and generally to make thier lives as miserable as possible with any dealings they may have with me.
whats good for the goose and all that…

MemberImagine this, you are walking around
Hyde Parkand there signs everywhere saying ‘There are no tigers (or cougars!) in this park349m pw for the NHS’ All good you think. Then you see atigermoron but tell yourself it can’t be atigermoron because there’s signs everywhere saying that there are notigersmorons in this park. You’re going to geteatenvoting.Someone simple like me, who puts appearances first, would trust my eyes and recognise that if it looks like a tiger, it probably is a tiger, I
wouldn’t put my trust in a sign saying there were nonewould believe almost anything if you repeat it enough. So yes, I’m superficial in my adherence to aesthetics over argument,
I think I understand
In order to achieve desirable outcomes we have to be pragmatic and nuanced, not idealistic and begin to recognise that human nature supercedes ideology.
How would that help to produce desireable outcomes?
