my experience: never had trouble, great power/modulation,no squeal and levers that do not feel like they are made out of timfoil survived numerous knocks – but not the lightest.!
you can pick up bleed kits cheap and i just change the fluid once a year even though they never have needed bleeding.

smoothness and appropriate speed are the keys to good riding. skill and confidence will grow with time and practice.

buy a copy of roadcraft police training manual, and practice the “system” in your car/bike.

Motorcycles are different from a car or bicycle as speed and position and manuverability are not the same.

boots, leathers and a well fitting quality helmet and gloves.
fit the best tyres on your bike and keep an eye on pressure and wear,
    maintain your bike well.

avoid the temptation to race/speed on the road, aim for smoothness and safe progress instead.

go on some track days , it is so much fun and really lets you work on your skills safely.

another vote for VFRs here as a everything bike, but get a decent sized bike whatever you do!

if you have 2 pumps, connect them both and check out what happens to +ve chamber pressure as you increase the -ve chamber peressure, just an idea.

better documentation on setup from manufactureres would be nice. but hey there is always STW/tinternet!
good case for adjustabily in rear shock units as linkage design as well as rider preference need to be catered for.

80 psi sounds about right, but you do not mention your exact weight?

re suckdown, try empty the neg and pos air chamers, cycle the fork a couple of times and put the air back in to the poitive side first. then the neg.

    Tragic news.

I am constantly astounded by how socially accepted death and inury by RTA somehow seems to be, why it is not acted upon more effectively? and how many road users behave is a disgrace.
This is a matter of public safety that is lacking attention IMO.

sadly this is not an isolated incident..

    source gov.uk:

The number of people reported killed or seriously injured has also increased by 2 per cent to 25,023 from 24,510 in 2010

    TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND!!

DMR moto or Maxis Holly Roller. surpisingly OK on dirt, but not mud.
MK nice but might wear fast with lots of road, mind you it would end up as a centre slick with big knobs on the edge …could be good!

top guide=old FD + stinger about a s cheapand simple as you can get?
top on its own will allow the chain to fall off the bottom quite easily IMO, bit like it can running a FD.

i like putoline fork oil, works for me, the float stuff is not so expensive 1 bottle will last ages, but i have used a bit of gear oil in the air chamber before, worked OK.

if the pads rub on the rotor arms it might be better to use a spacer washer to move the caliper out a bit instead of cutting the pads, unless the pad is wider than the braking surface of the disk

smart move, when the craving kicks in wait 5 minutes and then see if you still want one..

someone told me they quit by carrying a little jar with some butts and a bit of water in it with them, they took a sniff every time they wanted to smoke.

check the bolts and the disks are fitted the right way round, try clean pads and disks with IPA, maybe sand a little of the pads and try bed them in again!
you can use a felt pen to draw a line across the disk to help see where the pad edge comes to on the surface of the disk.

    EBC pads FTW

you got it, just takes practice, bend knees and elbows so you stay as level as possible on the way up, push the pedals like rising from a squat on the other side and the bike will accelerate, practice at slow medium pace on rollers of 50cm or so,
it is important to be relaxed and loose or it will not really happen

Tailgate Berlingo, 3 bikes and 4 peeps with 1 wheel off and 1/3 seat down, 1 bike 4 peeps, drop seat and turn bars 180 slides in diagonal, long service intervals, comfy to drive. just wish the rear was a wee bit longer….

the good stuff has the tounge and groove treated to resist moisture and swelling, usually a green colour, mdf based stuff much better than the chipboard type
,also look for a “balancing” layer on the floor side,
AC3 rated is ok for general domestic use AC4 a bit tougher but prob not worth the xtra.

jigsaw makes less mess than a mitre/chopsaw IMO, make sure to leave a nice gap round the room and lay it at room temperature..no really!!
