    There is a lot of room for error, I wonder how many attempts it took to learn that!!

    I have fitted mine upside down on the LH side, it offers more protection to the lever (and my knee) if there is an incident….

    It looks tidy and the lever is angled towards my thumb.

    As stated, I would try both sides to see which suites you best.

    I stopped drinking alcohol last May to try and get fitter, I lost 2.5 stone in 4 months by diverting my drinking time to biking time and eating less.

    Since Christmas I started drinking again and have put the weight back on. I find that I am an all or nothing drinker, if there is a 4 pack in the fridge the other three are getting lonely after the first one has been drunk, so they all go.

    I found that the first couple of weeks of quiting were the worst, as soon as I quit drinking there were birthdays and parties galore. My alternative tipple is either lime cordial or Red Bull light (not too many or you can’t sleep!!)

    My best rewards were the loss of weight and improved speed on the bike. I was riding to work a couple of times a week and my time was improving each week which helped me stay focused.

    I have just stopped drinking again (day 2) with a plan to knock it on the head for good.

    Good luck with staying off the booze. 🙂

    Due to land in New Zealand tomorrow with plans to sample the trails in the South island. I will report back with my findings… 🙂

    Commencal Meta 5.5 XT for trails when a bit of bounce is needed.
    Cove Stiffee for everything else, including biking to work..
