Since when did being a father become a reason to not to do anything!!

A baby has no interest in its father, get the riding now, you can spend time with the kids when their older(and more intresting).

However to keep the piece at home I suggest you steal only half the time from there, the rest you bunk from work.

Good Luck, and keep on riding.

This forum seems very left wing. State employees feeling a bit anxious?

I suppose three or four punctures could be bad luck but more than that means the tyres are fubar in my experience.

I like tubeless but it doesn't mean no snakebites, I managed to ruin a NN Scwalbe with a pinch on the tyre whilst running tubeless. Having said that I punctured the same type of tyre with a massive thorn swooshed the milky stuff around the puncture and it fixed no problem.

You could put some latex inside a tube if you really wanted to avoid punctures.

I don't, but that could be why they only seem to last six month.

Aspirin, but only for heart attacks. Wound dressing, to stop blood flow. Wet wipes for number twos. Jamesons for low morale. Roll of sticky tape, to stick stuff.

That'll do it really, anything else improvise.

3/32 gusset half link here. Fits in the tensioner, looks very bling nice quality nickel chrome stretches a bit but that no problem with a tensioner and halflinks.

Dont know about MTFU, they could start with limiting foreign players in the premiership and cutting player wages.

The big names would disappear and we may find some local players.

    Thanks for the advice chaps.

The GF1 is a very nice piece of kit but was stretching my budget a bit especially when you add the eye piece I would have wanted.

Inevitably I started looking at next level dslr's nikon 5000, canon 450/500 etc, but as well as having more confusing (to me) features, they were bulkier and looked more prone to damage than base models.

So I have just ordered a nikon d3000 mostly because it felt nice to hold, was quite small, satisfies my theory that you should by the lowest or highest in a range and most importantly it says nikon in big letters across the top.
Great deal at Jessops, spring20 code got me £20 of a bag so the the whole deal was under £350.

    Dodgy pics to follow soon.

edit.. quite like the look of the g1 which includes an eye viewer but the local shop didnt have one to look at.

    Thanks again

Aren't 540's sealed bearings? 32 from merlin less than half rrp and feel quite a bit lighter than 520's which I have also found unreliable.

Thanks, just had a look on the 18 bikes website, £450 for the hub and shifter..betterTstart saving.

I dont think the point is weght saving over the 8 speed. Less drag and a wider spread of gears is the claim I believe.

Yep, and that will give you the adjustment you need.

You will need to file out the roller for that chain. Alternativly you could get a 3/32 chain which will fit in the groove and whilst your at it get a half link version which allows more variation in chain length.

If you are going to use sprockets taken from cassettes its best to tension the chain up, I found them a little more likely to jump.

I bought a nice half link chain from charlie the bikemonger, they do strech though.
