I think about the men and women of the world wars who were defending our country from foreign invasion and the more recent casualties who keep us a little safer from fruitcake idealogies around the world.

Isnt the goverment on behalf of us all cutting costs in all areas, defence, benefits, jobs and on this occasion pensions. I understand the point about reduced income perhaps being topped up by benefits but that logic suggests we should just increase the state pension for all to a point which no other costs are incurred.

Sorry chaps, I understand the anger but havent yet heard any justification for a strike.
Anyone subject to this new deal will likely live to a hundred years old and recieve a better pension than the average given to the private employer taxpayers who fund there employment.

It would be nice to have a different system but barring that thr numbers still have to add up.

Whats the purpose of the changes if they dont save money, surely no political benefit in a random scrap with nurses etc?

Isnt it the case that we cant afford public sector pension that are so much better than everyone elses. There still going to be better than most but not quite as good?

As workers you have a right to strike but I suspect you wont get much public sympathy.

You will need to deduct how many people would have lost lives to violence had the US not invaded.

The Highway Code discourages undertaking on motorways with some exceptions (rule 268): “Do not overtake on the left or move to a lane on your left to overtake”. Undertaking is permitted in congested conditions when frequent lane changing is not recommended.[4] On other roads, the Code advises drivers “should only overtake on the left if the vehicle in front is signalling to turn right” (rule 163).[5] Rule 163 uses advisory wording and “will not, in itself, cause a person to be prosecuted”, but may be used in evidence to establishing liability in any court proceedings.[6] On all roads, undertaking is permitted if the vehicles in the lane to the right are queueing and slow moving. Undertaking in an aggressive or reckless manner could be considered Careless Driving or more seriously Dangerous Driving, both of which are legally enforceable offences.

The scenario I have in mind is the motorcyclist undertaking on dual lane roads often when the car in right most lane is at or above the speed limit. See it every day . Watched one recently when the biker started having a go at car driver who moved to the left just as he was getting undertaken !! Cos you would expect some plum to be creating a third lane when non exists. Clearly the bikers fault if he ended up squished.

Filtering? Is that the term for undrertaking in motorcyclists world?

If it is im not going to make space so you can do something illegal and dangerous ..although I understand it keeps us in nice fresh bodyparts so feel free to keep trying.

    25mm for Flows.

Have you got a co2 inflator? Its probably a good idea, try to seat the tyre as much as possible first then woosh!

Well I dont really have experience of tubeless in the sort of enviroment requiring DH tyres. I run either nobby nics locally or 2.35 high rollers on trips, trail centres, brecons, peaks etc.
The lighter tyres do tear easier but i would think that its the same tubed or tubeless. So if the terrain you ride requires DH tyres put them on tubeless if you can get away with standard run those tubeless.

Either way not much point in buying flows and putting a tube in them.

Replaced the DU bush twice in my two years with an Anthem X , also replaced the pivot bushes twice in the same time, great bike the Anthem but mine anyway went through bearings.

DU bush is a standard item round your local bearing supplier, less than £1.

I live in a Suffolk town where cycling is common place. Not just kids although more of them go to school by bike than anywhere else in the UK but also commuters , shoppers etc. Very rare that someone doesnt own a bicycle.

This is due to the provision of a large network of cycle paths when the housing was built. Its not perfect but well ahead of most places because cycling feels like a safe option.

This morning I drove past an otherwise sensible looking chap trying to pick up sloppy poo from the pavement in an inverted plastic bag. Even the dog looked embarresed for him.

No Thanks, maybe if I had a farm.

Swap between 2.25 NN for local and 2.35 HR for trails. NN are bigger rounder lighter but fragile. HR are smaller, square edged and more rubbery grippier, better on rocks but draggier. :)

Got into “hifi” in the nineties, all Linn Sondeks and what have you, there were big discussions when cd came out. can only imagine what this forum would have made of the for and against arguments, definetly have been tears.

I can understand the anaologue v digital argument (of which I think ano is better for what its worth) but digital against digital? Dont really get it, surely a cd is just the carrier it like arguing flash memory sound better than a hard drive.

In fact wouldnt a solid state memory be better at transfering data as theres no moving parts and less room for error?

Either way Cd’s a dead duck, gone to a cloud in the sky which is were well all be getting our music from soon.

How are you going to go tubeless without changing the rims? You could use rimstrips but they weigh as much as a tube.

And the spin test is likely more to do with the brakes than the hubs.

Get some stans rims on hope hubs or xt if the like faffing. Run them tubeless with yellow tape anf 500g tyres all in most people will save a good deal of weight and the wheels will be stiff, turn quicker and feel much better.
