Had ride in the Chilterns recently starting from the Watlington car park. It was my first visit and at first the Kites seemed impresive, large birds of prey, prehistoric call etc . Later when you consider the numbers of them something must be losing out. In discusion with some locals over a post ride pint they seemed a bit fed up of them too.

Any experts in the house, what do they eat?

On one slot drop outs, no fuss work fine bothe singlepeed and with gears. How often do you need to tension a chain, once a month? Most times the brake will be fine anyway.

Should be standard on all bikes.

(Brant: please can I have a new Scandal just like the old one but with bigger wheels?)

It becomes Immoral when you pay below the basic paye rate of 25%, your taxes btw are not for some less fortunates, they pay for the infrastrucure that allowed you to make money in the first place.

Tony Blair for instance has paid 2% on the 12 million he earnt this year , which just supports the view he is a lying ****.

Warren Buffett conversly often points out the absurdity of his own meagre tax bill in comparison to his employees.

Its a ghost you’ll all be dead in week. Unless of course God chooses to save you, in which case it’ll take longer. I suggest you close the hatch and in words of paris hilton “live every day like its your birthday”, sorted.

    Could be worse…

He could have earn’t £12,000,000 from bankrupting a country, paid 2% tax, joined a fruity religion, be laughing into his merlot and still be loved bt STW!

Seems a bit silly to split up a small island into smaller bits what next Yorkshire, Suffolk ?

Also why is Europe so necassary as a union but the one thats been in place for 300 years so bad. Salmond is on a glory trip.

Mentioned earlier Grand Metarie in Carnac is great with nice facilities although I prefer Les Menhirs which is nearer the town and beach. Carnac itself is nice enough, think Cornwall rather than Corfu.

Bit further down you have places like St Jean Du Monts and La Rochelle more chance of good weather down there.

Starts ok but blue/grey smoke from exhaust and no boost and more smoke when driving, not sure how it developed it the wifes car.

Just had a look under bonnet and can just about see the turbo which is covered in oil and engine oil is below dipstick level.

    Thanks again.

So perhaps the idea of shooting the dogs and their owneres is a bit ott. Even the doggy mob cant object to licences surely? £50 say, adhere to certain standards, no licence no dog.

Less children attacked and probably less chavs carrying knives to protect themselves from chavs hanging on to dogs.

Usually 32:15 but I live and mostly ride in Suffolk. On a recent trip to the chilterns I tried 32.17 and 32.19 niether was sufficiently lower gearing to make the hills that much easier and the 19 was just too twiddly on the flat.
So I would say 32.15,16 or 17 depending on your style.

    1. Tapered Headtube
    2. Full Length Gear cable Outers
    3. Geared or Gears, sliding do, swapouts or ec bb dont care.
    4. No rack mounts.
    5. Simple graphics, preferably anodised.
    6. 100mm to 120mm fork but could also run rigid.
    7. Available in Alu, Steel or Carbon
    8. Decent warranty / support.
    9. make my mates go wow.
    10.make me a better rider.

Well 9 and 10 were made up to make up numbers, I could also have costs less than £400 otherwise a yeti big top would probably do the job.

I would rather have a rep for selling dodgy stuff than for online bulling which you lot seem to find acceptable.

There is small courts for this stuff, points have been made let em sort it out.

I would say this thread should be closed.

Raleigh etc 3 speeder of 50’s best uk bikes ever.
Grifter bikes became fun, I had a girls shopping bike when these arrived.
Mongoose BMX, I cant put into words how much I wanted one.
Peugout Raleigh 10 speed racers of 70’s 80’s what you had before we had MTB
Orange/Marins of the 90’s all cool.
    Specialized Sirrus decent accessible bikes.
On one inbreds/scandals must be the most popular bikes in the uk now

Thats about all I can think of off hand, not much niche on here.

From memory my medium was 2.4kg including the shock and a 595mm ctc top tube making about average length.

I never felt the need to lock out the shock, twas fine. Don’t know about the stem length a medium came with 100mm and i never changed it seem ok.

Very nice bike good for a bit of everything.

Have to say titanium is looking like a pretty poor frame material, stories of them breaking seem quite frequent.

Nothing exceptional about the Op’s weight or mileage (if there is Im in trouble!) more like duff bikes.

Much as it pains me tend to agree with Tory boy.

Wasnt this LBS v LBS though nothing to do with an online retailer anyway. As such its all about the deposit, how much was it? Can you get it back without too much LBS goodwill and how highly do you value that goodwill.

a)Tell your LBS the price elswhere, do a deal.
b)Make up a story more likely to get your deposit back.
    c)Do nothing.

    Probably go for a.

445mm for sure, try exotic brand for carbon, very popular round here or on one for steel.

Im not keen on my 8yr old daughter using words like garbage, cookie, elavator. But it doesnt grate as much as colleagues turning sentences into short statments that rise in tone towards the end .

Must be getting old as well as fat!
