Took a few edits to get that one nailed..

Presumably she’s not the only social worker in the area and your views are based on a deeper understanding of course.

Mr Gove does indeed have some competition around here.

I dont know the colour of the social workers.

They do appear to have a strange priorities which could just be incompetence(as previously shown ) but seems more likely to be the result of someone high up spouting the sort of guff you are well known for.

Either way the results are pretty poor.

So they manage to overlook years of systematic abuse by asians gangs but can spot and act at the outrage of the people voting.

Looks and smells like racism to me.

    What nipper said…

I dont want to ride a trail designed by some golf refugees and very rarely have any problems with other people just being out an about in the unorganised world.

Common sense and courtesy probably helps.

Seems to be reported rather one sided this one..
Reports headline, a rocket fired at Israel followed by Gaza hit by hundreds of missiles.

I may be uneducated on this subject but Israel seems like the aggressor and the british media seems to be reporting it poorly.

    is that how it is?

Has anyone actually been visited by the Bikes to Work police?

Better IMO too but also much more dangerous. Also seeems common for off road bikers to progress to the road..then go back to off road..then back to road..and so on.

Been with virgin media 12 yrs, tried to get through tonight after several over attempts thwarted by hidden numbers and conveluted ivrs.

Told by tech nothing they could do, will complain in writing and claim back costs/ charges.

    Very disappointed.

Ps there Twitter is lit up with complaints.

I had a VOLVO 740 in except the same situation a few years back, think I was swapping the wheels/tyres around or something.

The car was on a tarmac drive and moments after I got up to get a cup of tea the axle stands on the drivers side began to sink and I watched as the car fell flat to the ground.

Seconds earlier and that would have been the end of my cycling days.

Tell them at least to put the wheels under the car.

I have some Schwalbe Durano Plus 25mm, if you are after puncture resistance there great but @ 380g the bike feels sluggish.

Try some Conti Gatorskins, reasonable combo of protection v weight.

Had a BMW 530 petrol v8 auto went past 200k no problems, just sold it as it was getting on and trouble was a matter of time. Also have a A4 tdi on 170k its had a new clutch, cambelt and turbo and never run better since I bought it which was about 80k. Its got good aircon and bose radio so will keep that one until it drops.

Reckon 200k is the new 100k.

Test rode the sram version last week, probably the smoothest road bike I have ever ridden and found the sram shifters a good shape nice to use etc.

Sometimes get the occasional impulse buy, I think an iphone holder was the last item, maybe some bar tape.

Also occasionaly use them for repairs usually due to CBA rather than need the last time it was to bleed some brakes.

Thats pretty rare though, in fact friends often bring their bikes to me for repair but I charge in wine not biscuits.

I have bought my last few bike through them and value one local shop Thomas Ipswich, who allow test rides and my mind has been changed so many times post a test ride I cant imagine now buying a bike un ridden.

You will pay a premium based on the risk calculated from each set of new circumstance.

So if you move from Manchester to Suffolk you definitely will get money back pro rata to time on cover and presuming you paid the annual premium in advance.

Regards full and provisional license it depends on how the particular insurer rates these things which probably includes a few other factors. You could get quotes for your circumstance now and how you think they will be in future from the same company. That will give you an idea of how different companies view your present and planned risk.

Worth noting the gender directive comes in soon making it illegal to rate on gender which will possibly increase ladies premium.

Got a HTC one x about 6 months ago. No problem moving from ios to android some features I prefer, google contacts some I don’t , no OS maps offline.

The phone itself is too big as a phone but its superb as a media device, I usually have a season or two of the wire, breaking bad etc loaded and its a great size to view video.

Battery life is what you would expect, its a good device wth loads of uses so you use it and the battery goes down. If you don’t use it the battery lasts ages.

I think apple has lost its new product advantage, I doubt there’s much between the Samsung and the HTC both a bit too big tbh but if you can live with that, either may be the only tech you need.

Ps may go for the note next, I travel a bit and reckon its all the office I need.

Google gear inches, you can get calcs that will tell you how different combos compare, there’s even one of them new fangled apps.

Then run 32-15/16/17 depending on how soon you can live with spinning out.

In the UK if you are desperate for NFC you can just stick a card on your phone. job done.

There is no need to shell out for phone only here so it wont be any time soon.

The tech will be introduced in developing countries first, which unlike us dont have the an existing solution. (cards)

In those countries there is a demand and need so Africa, India, some Eastern Europe are all better markets than UK, US etc.

The correct answer is buy what you want and **** anyone else. But if you are worried about your image though the exact model and how you own it is all important.

    Lived in 911 = Cool.
    Polished Daily x6 = Knob.

and probably vise verse, they are all branded tin cans after all so if if you can buy the flash car with ease and dont knock one out over it every weekend thats ok.

Circa 1988 I worked in a garage, they had a shop and sold centre consoles, louvres for Capri’s that sort of thing.

They also had workshops- The name of the game in there was to sell as much stuff as possible, need never entered the equation, it was all incentivised and wages were low, from memory and remember this was 88′

Tyres 50p to £1 depending on brand.
    Brake pads £2
    Brake Shoes £3
    Shock absorbers £3

and worst of all was tracking which whilst only paid 50p if the garage didnt do 50 in a week everyone got half their bonus.

This kind of incentive scheme resulted in the sort of behavior you would expect.
