Lifer- cant really I don’t understand you point, you quote one post and refer to another.

Charlie Mungus- Quite possibly, I believe her philosophy was that community improvement will only happen when its aligned with personal opportunity.

A view closely aligned with economics and the prevailing view of how humans are programmed.

That freedom was why she was popular and whilst the detailed changes were of varying degrees of success, the option is a nation of Mick Philpots and layabout union reps(of which there were plenty).

    Lifer- Think you misunderstood.

Coming from a fairly shit council estate in the north of England Maggie gave me opportunity, the unions told me how to get the most time off sick.

edit for the above- point is there appears to be so many armchair socialist on this website, knowing what they do from news reports and university discussion and don’t have a clue about the real world.

I recall the last election when on here its seemed unbelievable that Labour wouldn’t win, when the rest the country was chomping the bit to get rid of them.

Singletrack world really is another world, which doesn’t have a clue about the real one.

Just bought a 2011 bike, it’s a nice colour and said “buy me” when nobody else was nearby.

I liked Maggie she did a good job that needed doing, over the years I found her most fervent critics to be kids who couldn’t possibly remember how crap the country was before she was elected.

    RIP.

Couldn’t look after a full sus so went ht, then couldn’t look after a geared mtb so went permanent single speed. Front sus will probably go next. It’s all a bit of a faff.

In 20 years we will look back in amazement that humans were allowed to control vehicles, hopefully.

If you haven’t got a witness its unlikely to go anywhere.

Should have sorted it there and then or taken details.

    Is it car troll night?

The NSL on single carriage roads is basically set because no one was bothered to set a proper limit.

The reasons these roads are death traps for other users cyclist,(any of them actually on here) walkers etc is because half wits think a 60 mph limit means drive at 66mph regardless of the actual safe speed for a road.

Great example today with local roads , high verges, twisty, narrow, loads of cyclist, horse riders out and about.
    30 was pushing it.

Don’t these deep rims get blown about a lot from side winds?

That’s more than likely me doing 40, I prefer being overtaken than having some idiot sat on my bumper because I’m not doing the limit plus 10%.

Comments like “more under the bonnet” suggest you have bought into the car marketing pitch, you have bought a car not the road. Do slowing down a bit hurt that much, unless your job or something requires you being places urgently?

Did have time machine but then the disc failed, could probably fix it bit lifes too short for all that IT tom foolery.

So now-not keep anything on a computer(or drive) that would be too upsetting to lose is my new setup, works well so far.

Can’t comment on the Samsung, like the iPad mini though it provides just the right amount of digital world with minimal impact on the real one.

Ipad mini – Not 10″ obviously but i reckon its the best available at the mo and just about on budget.

Good Post- I really struggle to find something comfortable for cycling.

Off road I dont want to look like a storm trooper, ready to take on the perils of the local woods. On road I don’t want to look like a fat ballet dancer going through a mid life crisis.

There is an opportunity to make a buck here for anyone who can come up with practical stylish clothing suitable for cycling that isnt plastic fantastic.

Meeting to discuss and formulate plan, down the pub any day next week(or the week after).

Isn’t there an aesthetic balance between wheel and frame?

I always struggle to get past a medium on a 26 MTB because anything bigger looks like a gate.

Same for road bikes, rather than getting hung up on sizes shouldn’t the wheel just be proportionate to the frame.

May give the factories a headache admittedly.

Tony Blair, except there are lots of good reasons and cant stand is a bit mild.

So I will go with neighbour who wears a North Face Body warmer , he annoys me no end and I cant work out why.

Fairly miserable article linked by the op, fails to make a point with any clarity.

Not sure what the problem is, this government was voted in to reduce immigration and benefit fraud, fairly unpopular principles on STW towers but rightly or wrongly pretty much what the cons are doing.

Week two for me and back to work, albeit with the throat still sore and a cough to annoy my colleagues.

Last week being my first absence in 5 years, hot, cold, shivers, sweats, aches, streaming eyes and nose the works.

edit: just read some of the posts above and agree theres no dodging this bullet, I am a serial garlic muncher and never normally get anything.

I am in the market for a new bike at the moment. The different standards in MTB are giving me a bit of a headache.

Maybe I will just buy a road bike.

A lot depends on the circumstances, too often see this when people who think they can build something and all they actually do is make a mess that turns into a bog after the first rainfall.

    Not good for anyone.

Dropped and broke my HTC one x a couple of weeks ago. Whilst its with the insurers repair company I have been using a £20 samsung.

I don’t send as many text or do so much mindless staring or have as much web noise cluttering my head.

Tis brilliant as soon as the htc comes back its for sale

The Scandal now has a fox fork with a good lock out and is soon to be replaced with the same bike in big wheel variety.

The Kona is now sadly gone, I will not sell any more bikes.

Its not about religion, everyone does something for something.

David Beckham’s reward is easy to see, people who volunteer or take on responsibility without remuneration also seek reward, could be power or forgiveness or access to the young.

    Economics init.
