Driving other cars is usually restricted to cars you don’t own, its intended as a emergency thing so we don’t have loads of uninsured claims knocking around.

As such your correct the old car needs its own insurance or at least adding to another policy as a temp additional vehicle until sold.

Not sure if it was or not, I bought it from a lbs at a dusk till dawn who has since stopped trading. Exposure were in my opinion very good in fixing it both because I couldn’t prove any kind of purchase and the turnaround which was at short notice fro this years dun run.

They also went beyond the minimum they could have done just to get it working, I wouldn’t want to say they did this and that in case it sets expectations they wouldn’t want to repeat.

So my experience of their back up service is great.

I imagine its pretty difficult running a uk company competing against imports manufactured with lower costs. You’ve had two and a half years use from something that now needs a new battery, they’ll do that at a reasonable IMO price or let you buy a new model at a discount. ??

I don’t find reception the problem, its just an all round worse standard than FM which is just as, if not better sounding, quicker to locate channels and much less energy consuming.

The only thing DAB has going for it is the content which is nothing to do with the technology. It’s also being superseded by Internet delivery so is in effect a dead duck.

Yes, It would be difficult to put the same sort of sustained effort in on a mtb that you can on a road bike. Particularly though something like quads. On a mtb you will be changing position to account for the trail surface whilst on a road you can generally focus on applying power to the pedals.

I would suggest a route that’s convenient, time yourself and work on reducing it, stay seated and controlled and make the legs work.

That said IME core strength exercises support knees as much as leg muscles, so you could mix a few of those in too.

1.9tdi Avant , 55mpg ( at least) when I’m driving but I almost never exceed the speed limits and take and age to get close to them.

50mpg when my good lady drives it like a normal person which you will all be glad to know is 90% of the time.

It’s actually very difficult to get less than 50mpg, bikes hanging of it,roof box, boot full of wine, etc.

Doesn’t quite nail the obsession, however did make me want to watch the movie.

Bin the Ego- don’t chase down everyone in the first hour, ride your own pace and then muller it for the last 30/60 mins.

Frankly the guy could retire now and still feel extremely good about what he’s achieved.
