Single speed because I’ll have an evil sov 1×10, a nicolai ht 29er 3×10 and fs nicolai 29er with a pinion, a road bike and a rigid rockhopper 1x10spd. So a rigid ss would make a good 6th bike.

I’m going to be doing this, I have my cbt in two weeks. I was looking at the honda cbf 125, i will probably buy new, looking at second hand values they do not seem to loose any money! then when I want a bigger bike, i will just sell it/trade it in, and won’t loose much money!

If you are going to be buying a bigger bike, then definitely get a geared motorbike. Saying that, mopeds do offer better weather protection and kit storage….

Or you can set up a limited company, pay your self minimum wage and get the rest almost tax free, but I don’t know enough about it to do it or to advise it
Either way, keep receipts of your spending and records of your milage.

In Africa I hit 90kph about 5 or 6 times during the tour. Never got faster then that, but I was on a 29er mountain bike with 1.6inch slick tread.

60mph down a muddy hill is a load of crap. 60kph doable though….

When I say no I a jag xl as a company car and ask them for a van instead….,,

I can’t run more then 5k which I did with the c25k.

However, I’ve signed up for an ironman in 9 months so need to start running proper!

DS by the way, I did that, it sucked to begin with then after :0 weeks you realise that you can run 5 k and it becomes really enjoyable. Stick with it. I’ve just started c210k!

I would say around £70k too, though being 26 I don’t feel quite as bad as you do.

I had a king one on my DH bike for a year, I then took it off and used it to cycle 12000km across Africa.

No issues with it so far, and I’m not the lightest person

I had them on both my big toes after my feet getting trodden on playing rugby. I left them and left them and then one of the spikes grew through the side of my big toe…..

It only took 30mins to sort.

November, because I’m cycling round Thailand in December. This training isn’t for that, cycling round Thailand will be nowhere near as challenging as cycling across Africa, but I still have about 20kg to loose, and want something to train for.
