if its just for a spare take a normal 12mm axle at least it will keep you riding.

why not buy the pro2 and stans flow rims, from hope, 260 or there abouts at some shops, really light and strong and keep your alo wheels for when you want to go a little bit mental

2.5inch minions, looknig around in the alps so do most people. sometimes i run a highroller on the back. when you do go, unless your minted, run a supertacky upfront 42a and a maxpro on the rear (the 60a) which is a harder compound, as i've known people to wear out a 42a in 3 days here when its on the back

dasnutz, you mean you looked at the black runs in the alps, your one sick knarly dude you must be 'the nuts', i looked at those and was busy c**ping my pants when some big pussy on a orange 5 over took me.

luckly I have a sick knarly 8 inch travel nicolai which flattens those knarly red runs out so i can pootle down them without them them hurting my wrists. luckly my friend leant me his knarly 10incher and a managed to tackle those blacks head on

2.5inch ties won't work to well on 719s the profile will be to rond and unstable, you're best of going with 721s o pro 2s, thats what i used last year

I have the old style focus estate and the seats fold flat. I am ft 4 and can sleep diagonally in it or I just curl my legs up

I have a focus, carries 3 bikes standing up with the front wheels taken of and 3 people. not bad for my first car, great to drive to. have driven the pick up truck and they seem so heavy and cumbersome to drive. I would get a transporter van, but the one wwith the extra ro of seats in.

enquire with your chosen uni if they have any large rooms. i go, well went, as i graduated today, to bath university, and for the first years they had some large rooms, which were about three times the size and had a double bed, which were for singl occupancy only. they were only about 5 pounds a month more then the standard rooms and i could comfortably fit 3 bikes in without them getting in the way

the modulation and power of them, imo, are both superior to formula the ones, and with the vented rotors they dont, in my experience suffer from heat fade.

mussEd I left my bike at home in ndevon, and came back to bath to graduate and start moving out of my halls.

sockpuppet – thats what the spare bike is for

going to morzine a week on friday for 2 weeks, only 95 pounds a week, so not to bad. (we have 2 spare spaces if anyone is interested.) not going with duiane but he will be out there at the same time. i only picked up my new bike last week, so have not ridden in anger since last alps trip.

if i earn lots (and they still have space) hopefully going to get out to les arcs at the end of august for a week before i start my new job.

fozzybear, i have bought new brakes, well a hole new bike after mine was nicked, the ones with the vented rotors, the year before they were fine in the alps with duane. haha. luckly i am immune to my snoring…..

i have stealth rubber soled walking boots, have spare pins for my pedals. just trying to get my mum to remove my rear wheel so she can read which deraliure hanger i need as nicolai do five different der hangers for each model

i’m driving so extra space isnt really a problem.

you dont have to be on the uni network to order one, you can go into the apple store with student id, i was in their yesterday looking to buy a imac for my mum, its 12 or 13% off desktops, and 15% of laptops. and the rule is, in one year you can buy one desktop and 1 laptop

well being a student……. i’ll take better pics and the obligatary first ride photos blah balh when my broken ankle mends itself
