From what I can gather from my mum, she doesn't seem to think she has done anything wrong, and a simply apology will be ok. I have never met someone so misguided in all my life. Even homeless people have a better outlook on the world that we live in

Just to clear a few points up. The money is stolen, If this money is used to pay companies, i.e. a bank over draft can my mum then claim that money back from the bank, like you could if i found the person with my stolen bike?

From my point of view, i don't care that my sister has stolen the money and now has 15k from our in heritence, what i actually care about is that my mum sold her larger house and downsized so she had money for her retirement, she is now 61, she i salso ill and goes on holiday every year and takes her career, which costs about 6k. Myu mother is now left with about £1000 cash and that is it. She had plans to install a new disabled friendly bathroom, which now have to be scrapped.

In a few years when I have finished my second degree and climb the ladder a bit, i'll be in a posistion give my mother money.

My mum feels so insecure now that she has no finacial back up.

Bankruptcy looks far better then jail time. Plus my mum has no debts, including no morgage etc…. Plus my sister is denying it to the police, even though admitting it to my mum over the phone, when she was on speaker phone and the police were in the room, muppit, and to make matters worse, she told mum not to tell the police, as she would get in trouble for benifit fraud…. (or theft…)

I would ask my sister, she probably has £500 lying around.

Right, a couple of answers to your question MC

My mum is 61, and although slightly mental she generally has her wits around her. Ironically, she took it out of a bank in one 15k go as she is not allowed so much money in her account. She never counted it, and it stayed in the same bag ever since. Just hidden, I have let my mum know now about safety deposite boxes, but never the less.

She last sa it hen packing for a holiday when she had to retrive a suitcase, now whilst she was on holiday my sister was looking after the house, alone for 2 weeks, one of the carers came in and said she saw the empty bank bag on the coffee table with her other items, i.e. phone, wallet bag etc.

I doubt the insurance company will want to know about it, don't know if your covered with family members stealing your stuff.

It has not been thrown out by accident, not sure how the legal systems works, if my sister has stolen it, then mum reports it to the police and my sister is found to of taken it, is it still my mothers choice if charges are brought against her?

One of the carers saw the bag that the money was in mixed up in all my sisters junk when she was living here, she doesn't have a job, and is yet managing to live on her own in a nice flat and keeps buying new stuff for it, and her credit rating is rubbish so it won't be a loan.

My mum just asked her, and the first thing she said was she had never seen it, then when mum said that the bag was in her stuff she said that you can not prove it, then she said that she wouldn't do it anyway and doesn't know anything about it.

Radogair, I think they probably work on most of the content three months in advance with the exception of the news, most things of the content will already be dicided, so not that quick to change
