Regards the travel thing, 140mm is fine on a hardtail, but it's the stiffness of the 36 I like, on my new hardtail, i'll be running a shortened pair of 36's. If they did a ti sov i'd have one tomorrow with no hesitation.

Cheers fontmoss, some good suggestions, it's her 3rd degree after messing up her alevels, and after them saying no twice, and her getting a first with distinction in her first degree, forensic science, then getting the best marks for exams and coursework in her second degree, forensic medicine, imperial have finally let her in. And all this while working a full time job, though when she gets to imperial she'll cut that down a day a week.

So hats off to her, she's wanted this for the 12 years that I've known her, and she has more patience, grit, and determination then i will ever have.

In all fairness, like has been mentioned above, they have both probably had a great deal of training in fast driving, tom especially so. Also they just looked like they were going fast, we've all seen other celebs turn the car early into the final corner and do a small jump buy never end up on two wheels for a good 20m . Also what does anyone gain from them being at the top

I have not seen one bad thing written about the sov and the geom looks spot on.

And funnily enough I do know that the 36 don't come in 140mm guise.

I'm going for a dh bike, and lt ht, i already have a jump bike 5-6inch am bike and road bike, and when i have reached my target weight will start entering races at which point i think i will buy a lighter bike.

bigrich, I already have a nicolai helius am for all mountain duty, thats the only thing putting me off the sov, it really is too similar in usage to my fs bike. Like I aid, I wouldn't replace the bike if I didn't have to because I was going to sell the stolen bike to build up the full sus. In the end the ht was stolen so I sold my car to build up the full sus in time for the mega.
