I have a strong feeling though that there's is a relationship which was born out of requirement rather then based on true feelings. However I don't know enough about it tbh, as I don't see her enough and I have never ever been with h and either of her ex/current bf when they have been togeather.

I have to recommend kevin and Sarah still the best holiday I've had, and I'm booked in for a skiing Christmas week.

So I've learnt how to spell some words and I've realised that if it's meant to happen then it will. The situation as it is now is not something which can be sorted out in the next month, so I guess I'm in this for the long term, which is good, and at least it's good that she is coming to me for support rather then going to her boyfriend.

I'll still be on the look out for others but with H I feel safe and content, which is not something I have experienced with anyone else, but that's not to say I won't providing I keep looking. Though it's going to take someone truely amasing to eclipse her.

Well for the first 3 years we were at school, then a gap year, we saw each other slot, then when we went to seperate unis we startedeeting less and less.

We have done things which I would not do with a friend, however we have never done it.

I work in the private sector, however my friend is a parmedic in london and she gets screwed hard. She works 6/7-6 and apart from once I've never know her to finish before 7, she gets a minimal wage, around £20k a year for living in london (she is classed as a studnet paramedic) and only gets the minimum holiday they can get away with.

Some of the shift patterns are horrible too. 6-6 nights thursday to monday. Try having a social life outside of that.

I would take it that person a owns the tv, it broke, then it's his responsibilty, unless there is an agreement in place already.

In my house I provided the washing machine, fridge freezer, tv, sterio, blah blah blah.

I live with one other person, we both agreed, that I would just leave all the stuff for any one to use, providing that if it broke, then we would share the cost of the replacement but it would still be my property.

I am a civil engineer, I just graduated last year. I like my job, it's well paid, the hours are a bit long but the other benifits are good. Long weekend every month and 6 1/2 weeks holiday a year plus bank holidays, health insurance dentist, car, share plan and pension etc….

However I also have this feeling that it's not what I actually want to do.

My back up option is a post grad medicine degree, as apart from teaching, it's the one thing I always wish I did.

Yes typically it's £300 – £400 a month, I think my uni accom in my final semester was £350 a month for a tiny room. Before that £400 got me a double bed in a medium sized room. It's worse in London, I think my friend was paying close to £6k a year and her loan was around £5k, though her parents paid for that and gave her £400 a month for food. I was the only person in my house who didn't get an allowence and my accom paid.

Tiger roach, my student loan was £4000 a year my accom was £4800 a year, needless to say the student loan does not cover everything. I had to have a full time job during university, my mum is on disability support but still helped out when she could, she paid for my car insurance.

I full support parents helping out their kids at uni, hopefully I'll earn enough to help my kids through uni.

Reading this thread I love how some people read what they want into the op posts.
