Well, in an ideal optimistic world, I would like to raise enough money, i’e’ 40-50k, enough to build a couple of classrooms etc, then go out as a civil engineer and help construct it, as a pm type bloke….

That pronghorn is nice. There is a large (20.5 inch) in my lbs on the wall for £850 I was looking at it before I bought my tranny,. Room for movement, on the price too I’m guessing as it’s been there for a while. We weighed it before I bought my tranny and the large was 1003g on the park scales.

Ibis tranny, but I would say that as I own one.

    TSY –

Using one of those machines, not accuratly using callipers so I realise that the above is not accurate.

    6ft 4

and yes, I’m not small boned.

    @ Jamie

Whilst only an estimate, there is some logic behind it

    When I was 147kg I was 33% bf.

    That means 48.51kg

I plan to loose another 30kg. Now 90% of the weight I have lost has been fat…. so of that 30kg I will loose 27kg will be fat.

Taking that away from the fat I’m currently karting around 48.51kg would leave approx 21.5kg of fat.

When I loose 30kg I will weigh 114kg and will have 21.5kg of fat (in theory)

Which is about 18% body fat.

Obviously all this is in theory, as those bf monitors are about as accurate as an unacurate object but I am using the same one, at the same time under the same conditions, so whilst not accurate they should be vaugely consistant.

Wooo, I’m back on the wagon, after well and truely coming off it….

At least I didn’t put any weight on over the 7 weeks I was off it… Just another 30kg to go. Should be done by September. My aim is 15% body fat, which should tie in with my target of 114kg….

I thought the scalpe in the lbs looked a bit shoddy, welds all over the place, though the paint finish looked good

I have a big head and have just replaced my giro xen with the new 661 recon helmet, more protection around the rear of the head and an excellent fit. at around £60-£70 it’s around the same cost.

Scunny, hence why I said I would send you the adaptors as it was only fair to you

It was out of order for Ian to call the OP scummy though, seriously not clever.

Oops, sorry I actually didn’t mean this, my phone auto corrects scunny to scummy.

Northwind – do you check your email every single day?

Pastcaring – the difference I would of not posted this thread 20 hours after sending an email.

Also, the original item was described as buy as seen and was dispatched and recieved in reasonable time!

So this whole issue was for a free part that I said I would send him as I had lying around, which was only fair to him.
And this has taken 5 days…. Which isn’t even along time.

    Scummy is still wrong.

These threads are damaging in many ways, both in terms of the classifieds on stw and people who might be looking in from an outside perspective.

Intact the title of the thread is shocking.

I did not receive an email on Wednesday saying he had not received them!!
(scummy if you did please provide a screen grab for proof I’m not saying you didn’t, I’m just saying I didn’t receive it)

Regardless of that I only agreed to post the correct adaptors on the Sunday. I would of posted them second class, so even if I had posted them on Monday there might be a chance of him not receiving them by now.

So the only email I have recieved from you since saying I’ll send the part out was yesterday at 14:11

Still not received the correct parts for the hub.

Please refund and i’ll send the hub back

You didn’t even wait a day before posting this thread. I mean WTF I’m assuming the only life you lead is one which evolves around a computer.

What happened to waiting for a reply!!!!! Yeah if you had waited a week for a reply then ask ste if anyone had seen me. Not something like Ian pinder give me my money back.

I read this thread before i got your email…

The first I heard about this was one of my friends ringing me up and telling me about it you impatient .

You think it’s not bad mouthing me. This is where your wrong, it implies that I did something maliciously wrong. (honestly forgetting to post something out is not wrong)

The thread title suggests that I agreed to give you money which I’m now either trying to get out of paying you or trying to fob you off. Which are both not true. You posted this thread before i knew you had even asked me for a refund!!

Oh and by the way, I’m not getting home until midnight so if you don’t recieve you money until then don’t go crying yours eyes out.

    So the first contact since

In all fairness to the……… op I did forget to post the adaptors like I promised last Sunday.

Scummy email me your bank details and I’ll refund you the whole £15 and an extra £2 for postage back to me.

When I get home in about 4 hours I’ll put up a proper defence.

Oh and thanks to everyone for sticking up for me

The superstar pedals are good, however bearing life and reliability is an issue. The nukeproof pedals are essentially the same but with better internals.

My mag to nukeproof pedals weigh 250g for the pair! Lighter then my spds

Also if it was my money I wouldn’t buy one. I’d get a boring desiel focus estate. For that money you would get a low milage one from a dealer

I have one, there is lots of space, however, the boot has a fake floor. The boot floor is the same level as the rear seats when folded over. However, the rear bench slides forwards and back meaning that for a small car you do have a deep boot. I packed 3 bikes a weekend of stuff and another person into mine.

Or you can slide the rear seats back and Terry is more room then there was in my mondeo for the person sitting behind me!!!

I have the desiel and I’m getting about 56-60mpg out of it. So far have not really had any mechanical issues, despite clocking up 40k miles in the last year, I work on a 18mile long construction site, so a fair few of those miles were not on paved road. Went through a wheel bearing though.

By the way, it is not a big car being based on a micra! But it does pack it in!

I’m with becky kirk, my dad has not given me any money since I left school, my mum gave me some money when I was at uni.

Now I’ve graduated I don’t ask for anything.

I think once a kid leaves uni then they should be self sufficient on a day to day basis. However if a parent is wealthy there is no issue with helping out with bigger things. I.e. A deposit for a house…..

Al you cheeky bugger I was trying to be constructive not flame you. Unless the top mount is connected to the caliper by some method other than the single bolt then it looks to be a risky design.

It’s more to do with the single mount of the bolt onto the frame (if you know what I mean) I think we are essentially saying the same thing. This will cause big bending moments in your frame which are not a good idea.

Were you reading the ‘Are you 60kg thread?’ by any chance.

I currently if you have a ‘If you were to die, could you afford the bills?’ add, which I’m sure goes along with the salary protection insurance.

There really is only one wheelset for you if your going to the alps, heavy rider, and want to stick with pro2s….. Which are the flow rims. Stans crest rims are good, I’m getting a pair built up for light use but whilst they might be ok for a few jumps they won’t hold up to sustained abuse.

Flows will, and the pro2 wheelset comes in around 1850g
