The Geek has NO answer to that one, does he?
He’s probably feinting ignorance. It’s quite a handy thing to do in these situations :)

Do people lose the ability to communicate properly, when they get into doing all this ‘code’ stuff???

That’s a bit like complaining when you go abroad that foriegners should put more effort into their ability to speak English :)

You are entitled to 1 weeks pay per year of service. Anything more is down to the employer.

That’s also capped at a max of 330-350ish per a week.

rather than an objective reflection on what the bible actually says. In some cases quite strong opinions can be expressed by those who haven’t actually ever read it which doesn’t seem a particularly objective or rational approach.

‘Objectively’ what would be your opinion of say leviticus as the word of god?

why so you can go and give them grief for challenging you??!

Well strictly speaking without the link they’re not challenging him, but just talking behind his back :)

and decided to join to say you are unfair in calling people srewed up.

I’m not too sure what the difference is between ‘being screwed up’ or ‘having issues’, i’d have thought they were fairly interchangeable terms.

Surely Hell isn’t censored. That would be religous censorship :)

Blmey! H-e-l-l is being censored. We’re going to hell in a handcart that’s for sure :)

50 yrs ago women in britain could not even open a bank account in their own name.

A far more sensible era. If you can’t read a map, or even fold it up correctly, you really shouldn’t be let near a bank statement.

Great news cove123! Marshalls also helped in the recovery of my nicked bike. I they’ve got a far higher detection rate than most of the police force :) Incidently the female officer that I talked to had no problem with the names, as she’d bought a Klien Attitude from the same shop when she was younger.

Mind you, 3mil is peanuts compared to the 50 million given (tax free) for a tatty painting owned by a rich duke who’s family were responsible for the worst of the Highland clearances :)

Grey squirrels are basically rats, red are a different species of rodent

Paedophiles have more genes in common with crabs than humans.

And how is buring wood not carbon neutral?

I guess it all depends if you plant trees to provide the same rate of carbon capture as you’re releasing.

The red had no competitor but for our actions I support this

Except half are reds are foriegners imported from scandanavia and are as native as greys.
Also the fact that another animal (us) brought them here makes them no less native. Plenty of specices are spread by other animals and are considered native.

I think a good rule of thumb is anything fallen with a diameter of your fist or less is fair game. Anything bigger has commercial value and should be left unless you’ve got permission.

Indeed…… surely you should just look where your going!??

I take it you don’t actually commute on a bike.

I’m suprised the Daily Mail isn’t sponsoring it. ‘Aslyum seeking grey foriegners flood across the border’ is right up their street :)

Ian is he still on the same rant?

All I saw was MI5 and Mike Corely in a thread. Didn’t bother reading anymore, but I imagine people in the televison are still talking to him :)

Ooh! He’s got a website now.

Erm..for the uninitiated WTF is usenet and why do I want it?
It’s a bit like these sort of web forums, but predates the web.
You can access it via google. eg.

What the funk said. Usenet used to be ace 10 years ago, but it got so filled up with crap, spam and idiots as the internet grew that it lost it’s appeal.

but say you had your EKG, and the doctor said, your not allowed to excercise any more?

I think you’ve raised an important point. I would guess that most doctors would err on the side of caution in giving a prognosis, and although some lives may be directly saved, many more lives might be shorted by people being warned off exercise. Plus if it became mandatory, or heavily advertised it would lead to people percieving exercise as dangerous, which is the last thing we need.

I normally use my credit card and pay it off each month. Using a debit card instead strikes me as unwise, as if it get scammed it’s your money that dissapears, rather than the credit card companies.

I’ll go with me’s suggestion. I’ve read books which are far more thought provoking or emotionally intense, but that was the one that really opened my mind to all the silly places you could take a bike, and I guess changed my life because of it.
