09 Zesty 514 and the headset bearings were proper poo, noticed there was a problem when it used to leak water after a ride. They have been replaced with standard Cane creek ones now though and have been fine. the originals were mild steel so rusted and seized within six months.
Other than that the bikes been great starting to get a bit of corrosion on the bars at the moment though but not enough to really worry about, wanted white ones any way Ho Hum 😀

heat, hot air guns probably better, the stickers till soft peel them off then use meths/iso alcohol to remove the glue.

The meeting house opposite the station is good and if you don't mind a short drive, taxi trip I can recommend the Dalton arms in glasson as well.

Also second bistro 26

white spirits and elbow grease, if you use heat first there is normally much less glue left behind.

goes back to removing miles of vinyl from a 7 meter banner 😕

Glenh,

Hope what you say is true, haven't taken the bearing covers off so have no idea what's underneath them. Hope if they are cartridge bearings that they hold up better than the headset did which died after three months (hence the regular greasing now) It was made of rusty cheese and exploded in my hand when I tried to clean it.

flat tonic water EEEWWWWWWWWWW 😯 but if it works may be worth a go.

Mister T, already have a healthy diet almost no takeout here, tastes crap most of the time anyway. Was thinking about reducing the coffee intake and increasing the amount or water I drink but there is no portable water at work and already carry 3 litres a day in as it is, maybe adapt one of them caravan roller things into a trailer type affair. 😀

Sintered here all year round, organics tend to be softer giving a bit more power, apparently, but wear out loads quicker. If you factor in mud to this you can quite easily us one set of pads per ride.

Mine was set up stationary up against a wall with both feet on the peddles, made sure the sagometer jobby pointed between the two marks, XC & XR, which it did first time, lucky for me. Same time did the fork so there was about 30mm ish sag by using a cable tie, can't remember the pressure sorry and I'm a bit heavier than you at 75Kg.
Seemed really easy at the time and has ridden really well since. Its last years 514.
Go with the indicator they put it there to make it easy 🙂

Yeah not crashing would have been great but its autumn there are leaves on the ground and, as has been said on here once or twice , mountain kings grip on nowt :-).

Mr Nutt I have no idea what your on about and she was far to old for me any way.

This encounter, shouldn't really call it that on here just asking for it really , has made me change the batteries in my lights though so some good has come of it.
