PGreen, if you are interested then my email is in my profile.

a11y, yeap that’s it exactly but I can also print onto the same material so you can get more than one colour onto the same sticker. Vinyl should stay on pretty well, I have a sticker on the back of my seat tube that has been there since the bike was new but they will wear off if there are rubbed constantly.

personally wouldn’t bother with the faff of lacquering the stickers as it would be easier to just replace any damaged ones.

I can do stickers for you as cut vinyl as still tortoise has above or printed onto vinyl and cut.

    Interested?

    Sorry for the resurrection.

I’ve got a zesty that has the common problem of filling with water that then gets in to the BB and head set and eats them, really like the sound of rbrstr’s fix and will give this a go, but has anybody worked out how and where the a water is getting?? I’ve tried the bit of inner tube around the top of the seat tube but waters still getting in somewhere.

Could it be the bolt thats to be drilled for the fix, or possibly the bottle cage bolt on the down tube. Who thought that was a good idea :?.

The rest of the guy’s stuff is great though, really like the furniture made from reclaimed timber from the Olympic stadiums hoardings.

Think the idea for the pothole marker is actually kind of funny and would be great.

Pretty sure you cannot get replacements for shimano stuff so you could be on to a winner there. I know when I looked and asked around last year there was nothing that I could find and I just wanted a seal kit.

The brake is in pieces at the moment as it sticks so a new piston and seals would be very nice.

co-op here three bikes stored outside to the value of about £5000, also covered outside of the house including in the back of the van. Can’t remember the premium but it was alot less than we used to pay think its about 30 a month???

bloody hell, we’ve now got three bike shops, will have a scoot past on the way home and have a wee peek. Didn’t think there’d be enough of a market for all three to survive………………….bike shop fight

So the internals are simmilar to the older forks then in regards to the spacers great.

Anybody actually done this themselves on the newer forks, I've increased the travel on my Toras and was hoping that I would be able to do the same when I upgrade to the Rebas above.

Sorry I was probably not clear. You remove the mount, there are two small bolts, then attach the mech directly to the frame instead of to the mount.

you can see the bolts in the picture above.

I have a 514, DON'T get an XT wheel set, as above the free-wheel is poor but worse than that is the replacement spokes end up being nearly seven quid each and Madison never have them in stock, crap if you ask me.

Front mech is a direct mount on mine, not sure about the never ones, if yes then you need to get an Etype front mech and take it off of the mounting.

hope this helps and remember DON'T BUY AN XT WHEEL SET the rims are also made of cheese, but are very easy to set up as tubeless 🙂

From memory Grum, there is one section thats a more sandy coloured rock that drops about six or seven metres pretty much vertically. It looked like a pretty recent slide to my untrained eye. Really really good ride though well worth the climb up Skidaw

peachos we took the left down to the side of the lake then back through the woods under dodd to keswick. Yeap this looks like the bit of a cliff which defeated us all, there looked to be a line that cut across left before the land slide though.
pretty sure its just after this photo
    was taken

Boxelder care was indeed taken when we rode it last Friday afternoon, tea time. We had a really nice chat with a guy at the summit who offered to swap his boots for my bike. On the way down Ullock we didn't see any walkers until right at the bottom near where the paragliders take off form.
Was an amazing ride bottled out on the cliff bit on the scree slope and there is one bit on Ullock that didn't seem to be ride able but that could just be my lack of skill.

Great photos though Neil didn't see these last week on here.

one of my favourite downs that, there's a bit of dispute when we ride up there over which is better castle crag or the rosthwaite decent, I personally prefer castle crag, less of a death plummet.

    thanks for the vid

spokes taa for this, running a shadow XT at the minute anyhow but would like to keep it as a shadow mech in a medium flavour. do you know if the SLX will take a bit more of clattering than the Xt noticed there is more steel used in its construction.

cynic-al, never thought of looking at shop websites, cheers for that.

There is a really good article in the most recent edition of the mag on crap which was an answer to my letter.

basic prevention seems to be. Stay hydrated, drink loads of water I've started adding electrolyte[/url] as I sweat quite alot. Another suggestion was drinking bitter lemon for its quinine content. Finally and probably the most effective is to start interval training, not done this as such just started to sprint up hills more often.

What I have got from this is that the main way to stop cramp is to get fitter so really is a case of MTFU.

not an expert but I now that they are not the only birds to do it, blackbirds do to and so do Jays. Normally its over ant nests the thinking is that they remove Small parasites from the birds feathers. Plus some ants, wood ants I think, spray formic acid which could help to keep them off for longer periods of time.
